>10 hours of interviews for this w/ a dozen or so of top firms in the game. Really grateful to everyone who gave up time & insights, even those that didnt make final cut 🙇♂️ https://t.co/9YOSrl8TdN
For avoidance of doubt, leading tracking analytics firms are now well beyond voronoi diagrams, using more granular measures to assess control and value of space.
This @JaviOnData & @LukeBornn paper from 2018 referenced in the piece demonstrates one method https://t.co/Hx8XTUMpJ5
Bit of this that I nerded out on the most is "ghosting" — technique used by @counterattack9 & co @stats_insights, among others.
Deep learning models predict how specific players — operating w/in specific setups — will move & execute actions. A paper here: https://t.co/9qrKvJ70EN
So many use-cases:
1/ Quickly & automatically spot situations where opponent's defence is abnormally vulnerable. Drill those to death in training.
2/ Swap target player B in for current player A, and simulate. How does target player strengthen/weaken team? In specific situations?

To be a succesful trader one needs an edge
My edge:
1)focus on selected instruments (Banknifty majorly and few stocks)
2) backtested my strategies historically (for past 10years)
(1)
Why trade multiple systems? ⏬
1. Keeps drawdown at minimum.
2. Strong money management can be applied.
3. Better psychology.
Do I trade only BNF ?
— Sourabh Sisodiya, CFA (@sourabhsiso19) March 4, 2020
Other than BNF intraday , I run few other systems too.
1) Intraday Momentum
2) Positional systems
3) Vol Crush Trade etc
Goal of system trading is to run few non-correlated strategies together so that system drawdown is at the minimum.#trading #systems pic.twitter.com/mS8jFEaLUW

It looks like decolonization just took a few decades to start
Basic econ theory says poor countries should grow faster than rich ones.
But for much of the Industrial Revolution, the opposite happened.
https://t.co/JjjVtWzz5c
Why? Probably because the first countries to discover industrial technologies used them to conquer the others!
But then colonial empires went away. And yet still, for the next 30 years or so, poor countries fell further behind rich ones.
https://t.co/hilDvv0IQV
Why??
Possible reasons:
1. Bad institutions (dictators, communism, autarkic trade regimes)
2. Civil wars
3. Lack of education
But then, starting in the 80s (for China) and the 90s (for India and Indonesia), some of the biggest poor countries got their acts together and started to catch up!
Global inequality began to fall.
