Petitioner: Whatsapp shares information globally. Everything they gather from us is shared.

Court: Mr. Lal, there are two issues. One is that your personal messages are looked into and shared. Two is that your browsing history is shared.

Petitioner: They analyze browsing history and form an opinion about the user and share that.

Court: All apps do that.

Petitioner: In Europe and the US, Whatsapp gives an option to accept or reject the updated policy. But here in India, no such option is given.

Court: You have an option, don't use the app.

I wish more people understood how important communication is. Let me tell you a story:

In 2018, I went on a rather edifying date. She was funny, laughed like a baby, and had the largest, prettiest set of eyes I am yet to see. We'd been talking over the phone for months prior.

I knew at the time, she was dealing with heartbreak. But so was I. We were both rather cautious - justifiably so. At some point, she started talking about her ex & I encouraged it. I didn't give much in return except mumbling, but in my mind, the sirens came on. "Run! Run! Run!".

I escorted her to the bus stage & she was looking into my eyes, not wanting to go, & I really liked her, & I wanted to hug her so bad, but I don't do PDA. It would take some learning. After lingering for a while, she finally left. And now came the next part...

10. The Dunbar Armored robbery

Stolen: $18.9 million

In 1997,6 men pulled off what remains the biggest cash heist in the history of the United States. The leader was Allen Pace, who turned out to be the worst "safety inspector" the Dunbar Armored trucking company ever employed.

A couple of articles in today's Toronto Star has prompted me to address them. They are mentioning the misconduct of the Conservative Party, but not in the way that they should. The following are just excerpts of the full article, but you can google the full story if interested.

The news sources are playing it as "it's just politics between rival parties", but we all know that the right-wing movement has nothing to do with politics. It's all fake drama, lies, blatant misinterpretations of anything the Liberals put forth.

The Conservative Party is sabotaging our federal government (the federal & the provincial conservative premiers are in cahoots). They are doing this in order to get Erin O'Toole into the PM position so that he can continue the destruction of Canada that Stephen Harper started.

What if, I’m not good enough? What if, I try it and fail? What if, I speak up and say something dumb? Surely, I’m out of my league here.

Sound familiar? That annoying inner-voice is more common than you may think.

1/ First, what is it?

Imposter syndrome is a psychological phenomenon in which a person doubts their skills, talents, or accomplishments and has a persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud.

Essentially, you attribute your success to dumb luck and/or believe it is undeserved.

2/ A pair of psychologists, Suzanna Imes & Pauline Clance, first noted this phenomenon in the 1970’s while observing 178 high-achieving women.

Inexplicably, the women had convinced themselves they were not that smart, instead they had simply fooled anyone who thought otherwise.

3/ Initially, Imes & Clance believed this ‘imposter’ feeling was exclusive to women.

They theorized that since women were (wrongly) stereotyped as less capable at the time, these high-achievers rationalized their accolades by concluding it was all fake or perceived.

4/ In the time since researchers have established imposter syndrome can affect us all.

And, as many as 7 out of 10 of us have our own internal struggles with this self-defeating belief system.

As it turns out, high performers by their very nature are prone to imposter feelings.

As ADHDers, I don't think there's an aspect of our lives that it doesn't touch. I've been doing a lot of thinking the past week as my first assessment visit is approaching and been thinking about the impacts it has had. It touches everything.

I got distracted making coffee this morning and almost poured the grounds in the water tank. Then after making the coffee, it sat in the machine for an hour and a half because I got focused on something else.

Constant fear and adrenaline fueled "3am the day it's due" starts for assignments in uni, and eventual burnout and dropping out of Uni (I finished with some interesting open learning subjects almost 10 years later, but *only* because I needed a degree for sponsorship).

Self care struggles. I have a missing front tooth because I dental hygiene wasn't something I could persistently manage on my own without prompting. I brush daily now, but that's because my SO makes me right before bed. We do it together.

Same with showering. How do I sit there, saying "I really need a shower", yet don't do it, or sit with headache suffering when I just have to get up walk into the other room and have access to headache relief.
