Our temples are the architectural marvels in their own league.

Each of our temples tells the story of our rich history and cultural heritage. Was Nehru that ashamed of his own nation's heritage that he had to cover them up or there was some other reason? The answer would be best known to him only.

PM Nehru invited the then Saudi King Saud bin Abdul Aziz to India who accepted the invitation and planned a 17 day long official visit to India in 1955. Saudi King had brought a large delegation with him and he had to visit various Indian cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Agra,

Aligarh, Shimla, Mysore and Varanasi. However, when Saudi King reached Varanasi, Nehru ordered to cover all the temples and Idols with curtains that came in the way of the Royal Convoy. During his stay in Varanasi, Govt buildings were painted with the words "Kalma Tayyiba".

'Kalma Tayyiba' means 'There is not God but only Allah and Mohammed is his messenger'. In addition to it, Pooja and Aartis were also stopped at temples. I can call it the appeasement politics of the highest order and Nehru was indeed the greatest appeaser of all times.

Dr. Anandibai Joshi

Upon her birth on 31 March 1865 she was named Yamuna, after the holy river. Her parents Gunputrao Amritaswar Joshee & Gungabai Joshee came from a long lineage of wealthy landlord family in Kalyan of Bombay Presidency, whose wealth was now waning.

Anandi was the sixth of 10 children, & had 4 brothers (only two of which survived) & five sisters. Her father was particularly fond of her, as she was a bright child with an inquisitive mind. Being an educated man himself, Ganpatrao assured that his daughter was taught Marathi.

As was common practice she was married at a tender age of 9, to Gopalrao Joshi, a 29 year old widower who worked as a postal clerk in the same city. After marriage her husband named her ‘Anandibai’ (which means ‘Joy of my heart’).

Gopalrao was man ahead of his times with reformist ideas & had married Anandibai on the condition that he would be allowed to educate his wife.

He even tried to enroll Anandi in a missionary school, but did not succeed. Despite being the supportive husband, Gopalrao had his flaws.

He was a strict teacher & would sometimes resort to beating if Anandi slacked in her studies.

Flamingos

Thousands of flamingos migrate to Mumbai every year between the months of October & March before flying out around June.

They arrive from the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat and Sambhar Lake in Rajasthan, some even from Iran and Israel.

A census by the Bombay Natural History Society in January 2019 had counted 1,21,000  flamingos in Mumbai then.

Besides the Navi Mumbai creek, environmentalists have noticed a huge flock of flamingos at Thane Creek, Uran, Panju Island and Vasai, as well.

One major problem is obviously the destruction of wetlands. This thread isn't about that.

From around 2016 onwards, the local fishermen started spotting injured and wounded flamingos mainly in the parts of Uran, ( Raigad) and Palghar (infamously famous).

Flamingos with broken legs, broken body parts, clipped wings, etc. The aim is to make them handicapped. Once they become handicapped, it's easy to capture them and sell their meat. They are considered to be a great delicacy.

And most of these are killed and sold as 'special chicken meat'.

Flamingos are our guests and in India, we believe in अतिथि देवो भवः!

Once in Bharat, Thimmayya immersed in various works, from weapon procurement to refugee

handling & battle against Pakistan.
The First Bitter Fight Between Nehru & Thimmayya Happened Then,
Thimmayya Asked For 3 Months To Clear Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, Pleaded Nehru not to approach United Nations, but Nehru went ahead & also transferred him to head IMA.

In 1954, Lt.Gen Thimmayya was awarded with Padmabhushan & in 1957, Gen K S Thimmayya took over Bharatiya Army.
Like the mighty Himalaya’s, the blunders of Nehru was Himalayan too, in 1959, Gen Thimmayya Resigned after a fight with the then defence minister & Nehru's close aide

Previously we read that Daksh insulted the divine Garland given to him by Durvasa and as a result he behaved negatively towards Shiva and Sati.

It was due to this negativity that Sati jumped into the fire.

This angered Shiva. His anger had a terrible impact all around. Virbhadra, Bhadrakali embarked on a destruction spree. Brahma and Vishnu had to intervene and had to stop the destruction.

But then Shiva carried the burnt body of Sati on his shoulders and

started roaming over the entire universe.
It was to stop the further destruction that Vishnu aimed his arrow towards Sati's body in such a way that it fell down into pieces. Wherever the pieces fell, it became a Shakti Peeth. Below are written the place the piece fell and

Do not make the intro about what you want, but rather what makes you the best candidate in relation to the role you're applying for. The only time I would include a Career Objective is when you're making a career pivot. (I'll touch on this later).

2. Personal Information - This includes your Home Address, ID Number, number of dependents, health info, date of birth, marital status, religion, etc. What else am I missing?

Once, Shiva and Parvati had an argument. Shiva declared everything in the world including food to be Maya or illusion. To prove him wrong, Devi Parvati disappeared resulting in entire Earth becoming still.

Taking pity, Devi appeared as Annapoorna and relieved everyone.
Another belief is that once Shiva beheaded Brahma and his skull got stuck in Shiva’s hand. He was cursed that till the skull is not full of food or grains, it will remain stuck to his hands.

Shiva went everywhere and asked for food but the skull was never full. He finally came here and Maa Annapoorna filled the skull with grains and reversed Shiva’s curse.

It is believed that who ever visits Devi Annapoorna here will never be without food in their lives.

Sthala Puranam  says that, Subramanya Swami came out of the Kamandalu, carried by Maharsi Gauna. Gauna Nadi(Meenachil river) starts from the Kamandalu of Gauna Maharshi. Gauna Maharshi filled his Kamandalu with punya theertham

Also a vigraham of Subrahmanya swamy and was waiting for Shri Rama in his return journey to Ayodhya after war. But Muni was unable to get Shri Rama darshan because Shri Rama was surrounded by Vanara sena, including Sugreeva and Vibheeshana.

With anger Gauna Muni threw the kamandalu away and the vigraham of Subrahmanya Swami came out from Kamandalu. Later the Prathista of Vigraham was done here in this temple, which is now Kidangoor Kshetram

Remember you're leading all the employees under you, but you're not *managing* them all. You're managing your direct reports, which should be 5-7 individuals max. Focus on them.

When you interact with the employees you don't manage directly, get to know them as people first, that'll be the most valuable information in leading them. Remembering everything you learn about them is hard, but doing so will make you a superhero.

If you're not going to empower the managers under you, why do you have them? If you see room for improvement, let the manager know and let them make the change on their teams and come to you with questions/concerns. This will save you SO much time.

If you're the smartest person in any room - you're doing it wrong. As a leader, your job is bringing together the best people to get the job done - your skillset is identifying those people, not being one of them.

mamta banerjeee who made several headlines in 2005 by throwing papers on the speaker of parliament over the issue of ilegal immigrant, who knew then 14 years after she will have a completely different stand on illegal immigrant.

But, why I’m calling her an uncrowned dictator? Following are the reasons-

1. She swings for power & not for the ideology- she started her career with congress in 970. Then, she aligned with bjp in 1999 and became railway minister, then;

she again aligned with congress for the state election in 2001. Then again she returned to bjp in 2003 and became coal minister in 2004. Then again she joined UPA in 2009 for the parliamentary election. Clear she has no ideology; she is hungry for power just like a dictator.

2. Media is being gagged up- The first thing that every dictator do is gagging up the media. The editor of Anandabazar Patrika, the highly respected and largest-circulated Bangla newspaper, has resigned, with the news emerging four days afterdidi accused the 98-year-old daily of

showing the state govt. in bad light and the editor was summoned by Kolkata Police for allegedly publishing fake news. There are many such incident which shows that media in bangal is under complete control.

Ma Kanakadurgeswari is the supreme Goddess of Andhra Pradesh, seated atop the Indrakilaparvatha at Vijayawada.
This area is called Bezawada as Shiva made a bejjam (hole) in the rocks so that Krishna river could flow freely.

Once, a Rishi Indra Keela prayed to Devi and asked her to reside on his head forever. Devi told him to wait in the form of a mountain in the holy plains of River Krishna.
Later, when Devi killed all demons, she settled on Keeladri as Mahishasura Mardini and fulfilled his wish.

In this place, Arjuna performed penance and fought with Shiva, who had appeared in the guise of Kiratha to win Pasupathastra, the most powerful weapon. So this place is also called phalguna theertha and Vijaywada on account of Arjun’s victory.

Adi Sankaracharya visited this shrine and worshipped the Devi. He installed SRICHAKRAM at the feet of Sri Kanaka Durga.

Adjacent to the Kanakadurga shrine is the shrine of the divine consort-Sri Malleswara Swamy on the Indrakeeladri.

Once there was a great deluge,everything in the world was destroyed.All lifeforms that existed got perished.Afterwards ,due to Bhagwan Shiva creation started.Then from Bhagwan Shiv ji's mouth-birth of 🕉 OM- Pranavam happened.From Pranavam,4 vedas appeared. Rishis learned them.

Many Rishis in Naimisharanya learned Vedas&recited them but they didn't understand the meaning&essence of Vedas. They were worried as they couldn't find any guru who can teach them the meaning of Vedas.That time,Rishi Arabhatar visited them.Rishis told him about need their worry.

Rishi Arabhatar told them that Bhagwan Shiva has given Vedas &he would be grateful enough to teach the meaning as well.But for that rishis have to rigorous penance at a sacred place.Also told them to go to Sundareswarar temple in Madurai to do tapas in front of Dakshinamurthy.

Assured them that Dakshinamurthy himself will come & teach them.Rishis proceeded to Madurai & started their tapas in front of Dakshinamurthy sannidhi for almost a year starting from Karthigai month pournami to next year Karthigai month pournami following all rituals..annadan

THE LESSER KNOWN MAHARANA OF MEWAR:RANA KUMBHA

This longest wall of India stretches to almost 36Km and encompasses a few hills, many step wells and over 360 temples and palaces. Birth place of the Great Maharana Pratap, this fort is named after another Great Maharana of Mewar, who is not given his due in the History.

Builder of many architectural marvels like the Kumbhalgarh Fort, an erudite scholar, a patron of arts, music, culture & a great warrior was the Great Maharana Kumbha. Yet we don't know much about him. Let's get to know him a little.

Maharana Kumbha was the undefeated King of Mewar from 1433-1468CE.He never lost any battles &kept Mewar out of the reach of Islamic Invaders till the time he was alive. Born on Makar Sakranti to Maharana Mokal & Saubhagya Devi, Rana Kumbha was only 13 when he ascended the throne.

His father was killed by his own relatives in a political conspiracy. He was a powerful King about 8ft tall &charismatic personality,a hardcore Hindu Rajput who could shed his life for Hindu honour without thinking twice.He was an ardent skillful warrior who never lost a battle.

THE IMPORTANCE OF DEVI BEEJ / BIJA MANTRA.

Once Suutji in his discourse with King Janmajeya repeated the words of Vyasji regarding the pronounciation of the word ऐ. Vyasji had heard the importance of this word in a meeting of all important saints at Naimisharanya.

There this story was discussed.

In that gathering of such great sages, Rishi Jamdagni asked a question to all the eminent luminaries. He wanted to know which diety is the most revered and gets satisfied easily with our prayers. So Lomash rishi replied that Devi

Bhagwati was one such diety. She will be satisfied and is ready to grant you a boon even if you just say the first letter of her beej mantra. In this context he narrated the story of Satyavrat. The story is as follows.

There lived a Brahmin named Devdutt in Kosal.

He was childless. He arranged for an elaborate yagya for a intelligent son to be born. He invited all the eminent rishi's to conduct this Yagya. Rishi Suhotra, Pael, Brahaspati Yagyavalka were assigned different tasks. Rishi Gobhil was asked to sing the Saamved.

He sang the verses very well, but he had to take respite in order to breathe between two verses. This angered devdutt. He spoke his thoughts to Gobhil rishi.

The rishi got very angry as devdutt did not realise the practicalities of singing. He cursed devdutt that

Veda vyas was a sage who is famous as the author of Mahabharat. But very few among us know that the meaning of vyas is “the spliter”, hence veda vyas is a title earned by him. His real name was Krishna Dvaipayana.

The Vedas are Śruti, which means "that which is heard.” In the Dwapara Yuga, these verses were compiled by Krishna Dwaipayana Veda Vyasa into a set of four books we call the Vedas. (Technically Vyasa only compiled the first three books - Rig, Yajur, and Sama, while

the Atharvana Veda is attributed to the sages Angiras and Atharvan.)

Actually, in the Dwapara Yuga, he compiled these verses from all those different sages into a coherent work, dividing them into a set of four books we call the Vedas.

But Vyasa wasn't the first one to compile and divide the Vedas, and he won't be the last. Vedavyasa is in fact a title, assigned to a different person in every Dwapara Yuga, as described by Vyasa's father Parashara in the Vishnu Purana, khand 3, chapter 3, verse 7 onwards:

Twenty-eight times the Vedas have been arranged by the great Rishis in the Vaivaswata Manwantara in the Dwápara age, and consequently eight and twenty Vyásas have passed away; by whom, in their respective periods, the Veda has been divided into four.
