1) Defendants operated an undisclosed Insider Trading Desk managed by Gregory Dwyer with at least three key employees, including Stuart Elkington and Nick Andrianov.

This desk operated to continuously manipulate markets on the BitMEX platform and cause artificial prices for BitMEX derivatives, including derivatives of
Bitcoin and Ethereum

The operators of the Insider Trading Desk had what BitMEX internally referred to as “God Access” that allowed them to see all of the information of all trader accounts, including any hidden orders and the liquidation points for all orders and open positions.

They were also provided with automated systems, built by BitMEX, leveraging this highly sensitive insider information to enable their manipulation that told them how the market was likely to move by assessing the impact of the hidden orders and liquidations, when they triggered.

Thus, based on the sensitive insider information of BitMEX traders, the automated system was able to predict a potential profit for BitMEX from liquidating its traders, triggered by a potential manipulation.

Talking first about #JIO stack from telecom PoV, it has tons of advantages over likes of Airtel/Idea-Vodafone that #JIO is pure 4G VoLTE network.

Airtel/Idea-Vodafone are forced to maintain 2G/3G network as more than 50% of their customer base is on old network that is cost intensive & burns into profits

Because #JIO is pure 4G VoLTE, they do not have to maintain separate networks, no need to maintain switching function for calls, reducing costs, giving pricing power

There is a saying in the indian stock exchange " Bhav Bhagwan Che ! " which forms the basis for price action and ultimately technical analysis.

Price Action is basically looking at price and the actions/ patterns it made during the tug of war betweern bulls and bears.

Price action helps us identify proper buy and sell areas.

It helps us understand supply and demand zones and based on the patterns we can assume who is going to take ground either bulls or bears.

We use candlestick to understand price action. Candlesticks are technical tools which helps us by providing sessions Open, High, Low & Closing price of that candle in a graphical representation which looks like a candle.

A candle stick is a tug of war between bulls and bears. We come to know who when when looking at closing price. So if the closing is above opening then bull have won and if cloing below open then bears have won. By this you must have understood how important is closing price

4. Diversification = companies wasting capital on foolish acquisitions, in new sectors they do not understand, and in companies that are overvalued.

At all. Ever. It’s a great way to piss off (and say goodbye) to 1/2 the folks here.

Not everybody feels the way you do and the smartest folks don’t want your opinion. Nothing good comes of it. So avoid it.

3. Be incredibly open

Nobody will steal your ideas. Yes it’s uncomfortable and yes you’ll get challenged.

1/ The simple answer to why stock markets are up is always that there’s more demand for stocks than supply.

So the real question is: why is there more demand for stocks?

2/ Actually, what’s happening is what should happen.

Central banks across the world, especially the fed in the US, are providing cheap liquidity across the board to institutions.

With interest rates falling to 0% and below, bonds are no longer attractive.

3/ The central banks are injecting this extra liquidity to stimulate economic activity.

They’ve made risk-free investments such as bonds so unattractive that the only place for money to go is towards relatively risky investments which are stocks.

4/ More than anything else, what central banks want is inflation.

They want things to become pricey so wages grow, profits grow and people’s perception of recession goes away because you’re getting more money than last year.

Canadian media has acted like the messenger for the devil's architects. Conservative supporters bought out the Toronto Star and Post Media"s foreign owned hedge fund are calling the shots.

Post Media in Canada represents a foreign ownership of the free press that would not be tolerated in the U.S., France, Japan or Germany.

As for Leon Cooperman, who owned 14% of Postmedia and 7% AMI, the SEC leveled insider trading charges against him for trades he directed in a small pipeline stock. Cooperman settled by paying $4.9 million, but neither admitted nor denied the accusations.

Warren: Here you had extremely experienced people operating with their own money.

• They went broke. Why do people risk losing something very important to gain something that’s totally unimportant? The added money has no utility whatsoever.

If almost impossible to go broke without borrowed money being in the equation. No gain is good enough when there is no gain to offset the risk of loss.

Warren: Investment is process of putting money today to get more money back in the future. The question is how far in the future, how much money and what is the appropriate discount rate to take it back to the present day and determine how much to pay?

If you look closely, 4 out of the 6 top NFOs in terms of money raised are from bank owned NFOs. These AMCs are notoriously skilled at selling garbage funds through their banking channels. They've turned mis-selling into an art. They're are Picasso's of mis-selling

One would be excused for thinking these are intent based allocations by investors which isn't the case. These funds would've been sold mis-sold by any way possible. Bank RMs are incentivized to do so.

Otherwise, in a country where people don't understand a simple mutual funds, expecting people to understand a worthless and pointless ESG fund a d then allocating 1500 crores is a mega stretch. ICICI Pru too had raised 1000+cr for its ESG fund.

The fact that these new funds are raising so much money to me is a negative. In a time like this, where will retail investors find fresh money to allocate? Which means they must doing stupid things like selling other funds.

STOP!

They started that way, but have shifted into a much more lucrative space - their 'Platform.'

Think of them as having part of their biz as hardware, but most of it as their Platform.

When tops are formed , two things happen The public is buying and the big boys are selling, and vice-versa when bottoms are formed.

In simple words Volume climax is the last "AHA" movement for the public before the stock make a top or bottom.

What is Volume climax?

• Volume climax appears at the extreme of a trend, or when top or bottoms are formed.

• Most of the time volume climax appears when breakouts happens after a long extending move, and then fails to hold at higher levels.

• In this, at time of breakout we see big volumes (atleast 2-3X more then normal volume) coming in stock when the stock is already extended.

• More volume is not always good, though retail traders doesn’t distinguish between them.

• After the Volume climax we may see a top/bottom or at-least the trend becomes sideways.

• The best setups are those in which we see full reversal candles with big range.

Example of volume climax-

1. The stock was in Uptrend, And has give a quite good run , Stock was giving a big move as you can see in last 2 candles, they were super extended.

2. But at the top candle, the bulls lost the control and the stock closes with a weak candle,

1. What is a ‘Derivative’?
‘Derivative’ simply means a product which is derived or dependent on some asset. This asset is called as ‘underlying asset’.
Let me simplify this by putting this example.

Both ‘Coffee’ and ‘Tea’ require ‘Milk’ for their making (assuming that you drink it that way, of course) . Hence, if the price of ‘Milk’ increases, the prices of ‘Tea’ and ‘Coffee’ will also increase.

To sum up:
1.‘Milk’ is the independent product. So, it will be considered as ‘Underlying Asset’.
2.‘Tea’ and ‘Coffee’ derive their prices from the price of ‘Milk’. Therefore, these are ‘Derivatives’ of Milk.

Hence, the derivative of a company will derive its price from the price of the shares of a company. Thus, share of a company is the ‘underlying asset’.

1/ It's time to have a conversation about #Dogecoin.

If you're invested in $DOGE after @elonmusk's much endorsement (such wow), there are a couple of things that you should probably know👇

2/ First, let's talk about network security (I'll try to keep it simple).

Unlike BTC, ETH, or really any other major network, Dogecoin does not have its own miners -- it currently relies on another network, Litecoin, to survive.

So how did this happen and what does it mean?

3/ Back in 2014, Dogecoin was at a tough spot. There weren't enough miners working on $DOGE and there was a real risk that its network would be attacked.

A network attack (like a "51% attack") would likely destroy Dogecoin, so its developers had to do something...

4/ Their solution was to adopt something called Auxiliary Proof of Work (AuxPoW); a way to merge Dogecoin mining with other similar networks.

Put simply, AuxPoW enables miners to work on multiple coins at the same time and reuse the same work.

5/ Back then, it was somewhat of a controversial solution. Some users were concerned that AuxPoW would put the future of $DOGE at the mercy of bigger miners.

While the change likely saved Dogecoin, the concern was valid: ~95% of Dogecoin mining today is done by Litecoin miners.
