FEAR - It’s the re-experience of failure in advance.

Many traders face the issue of Not entering in trades because of fear.

Lets First start from knowing the cause of this "FEAR" of pulling the trigger.

A traders goes through many phases before becoming Profitable.

The first phase is the " APUN HI BHAGWAN HAI" phase-

When we first begin Trading, we don’t know any concepts, we don’t know about the risks , the dangers.

So we start trading, and like most guys by beginners luck we start making good, we start to calculate how much money we will make in next 1yr, 5 yrs, Greed start to Hop in.

We get introduced to Various instruments, F&O, LEVERAGE.

We take big positions as we don’t have any FEAR cause we haven't seen those bad phases yet.

Now we get the Big blow, account down -50%, or in many cases wiped out.

The first phase ends here.

Now we know How the market can kick our ass, we now know the risk that comes with those big positions.

"THE LEARNING PHASE"-

Now we know that we were just lucky initially and now we have to learn why we get those losses, so we start learning concepts , fundamental, Technicals.

1. Personality-

Though he made big profits in the year of 1986, but Profits and risk comes hand in hand.

He was down $10 million in a single day that year before bouncing back, a rollercoaster ride that would have made mere mortals lose serious sleep.

Yet Dennis cockily said that he slept like a baby during all that volatility.

His money making style was to go for the home runs and swing for the fences,But dennis was never a gambler.

You might have heard this word “Mental capital”

What does it mean actually ?

In the context of markets, It's the Risk that our mind is able to digest seeing the P&L.

If we breach this ceiling of Risk ,Our mind goes berserk, and we are not able to take rational decisions.

So can we increase this Mental capital level?

Let's dive into my story of how My mental capital levels changed over time, that will answer the question that are we inherently Risk takers or Risk averse.

When I started trading a few years back, with about 3 lakh capital, I was not a greedy person, and I had limited expectations from the markets.

Like every other beginner, First 1.5 years were great, made a lot of money,

which I wasn't even expecting to make, turned that 3 lakh to more than 12+ lakhs in that period.

This was only possible by taking huge leverage, which i didn’t know at that time was a big mistake i was doing.

Trendline is basically use for majoring trend 📈 of any stock.

It is also useful for indentify demand & supply ....

...it took me another 5 minutes to get qualified for options.

If I share a sign up I get "free shares" and I can share as much as I want up to 500$ worth.

The main UI has a prepopulated "list" of stocks/crypto to watch and links to news.

Clicking a stock opens a "trade" button that looks like this.

Notice options is first, buy second.

Options took me to an approval process (which took about a minute) and now away I go trading Baba options.

The 1% Rule 🧵

The 1% Rule states that you should risk, at most, 1% of your total account on every individual trade.

This 1% risk is a function of two flexible components:

• Your Position Size: % of your account in the trade
• Your Trade Risk: % between your entry price and your stop loss

Want to take a larger position size? Make your stop tighter.

Trading a volatile stock? Size down on the trade.

The most important aspect of trading is risk management.

It's great to make money, but worthless if you don't have a system to keep it.

Over 50% of my trades are losses, but I'm still profitable because of the 1% Rule.

Keep losses small & let winners run!

New traders are EXACTLY who benefits the most!

By limiting each trade's potential losses to 1% it will take you:

• 29 straight losses to fall 25%
• 69 straight losses to fall 50%

•Don't get carried away with the kind of return that Mr. Pani made in such a short period of time.

•This requires a high level of skill, and discipline in terms of which strike to choose, which time to trade, and which days to trade.

•It also comes with higher drawdown.

1/ Screen Time:

• Indian markets function from 9:15-15:30.

• Dividing this time zone into 3 sub parts:
- 9:15 to 10:30: trending market
- 10:30 to 13:30: for retracement
- 13:30 to 3:30: trending

2/ Focus on momentum:

• Option buyers make money when the momentum is quick.

• However if the market remain sideways for few days then the option starts to lose its value.

• This is because theta decay works against option buyers.

3/ Option buyers need momentum to make money:

• Hence focus on the 1st & 2nd time zone where the markets are trending.

• Avoid taking trades between 10:30am till 13:30.

• Special focus on Wednesday & Thursday as premiums are low and if you can catch momentum then good R/R.
