Qualities of Bhagawan are considered countless (or அனந்தம்), one can experience it only to extent he gets exposed. His avatars are also countless (avatarAt hasankyEyAt) and each had a purpose for that time and we don’t remember each of the 1

EkAnta bhakti - Sri Hanuman

What this means is about having fixated bhakti in one mUrtI or form of bhagawan whilst respecting His other forms or dEvatAs.

When such a devotee sees the leelA in other forms, he will be able to relate it on,y to the form that is fixed in mind.

Typical example for such a bhakti is Sri Hanuman.

Hanuman was born a jnAni in Tirumala in Anjanadri hill and was cursed to forget his knowledge, however will get it back once he gets the darshan of bhagawan.

In Kishkinta Kandam, when he saw Rama he instantly fell for Him

and realised it was Bhagwan. From that moment onwards, he saw Rama everywhere, was in awe of this form and immersed in His qualities never to come out of them.

His ekanta bhakti gets displayed when he climbs atop mahendra mountain to fly over the sea and utters prayers

To sun (his guru), father (vAyu) and to every living being, however specifically to Rama (mahendrAya indicating para brahmam).

Similarly, when he faced Ravana, he was able to fearlessly explain to him that Rama was none other than Bhagwan and has the capability to

Perform cosmic creation, maintenance and annihilation effortlessly.

Upon his successful return from Lanka, Rama was overwhelmed and wondered how He could every repay for what Hanuman had done to which he said that the qualities of Rama made him do that.

Rama passing through Ayodhya streets - Ayodhya Kandam

King Dasaradha confers with his ministers and people to come to a conclusion that Rama can be crowned a prince. He then requests his minister Sumantra to fetch Rama to inform about the decision. 1

Rama is described as someone with broad shoulders, long hands adorned in pitAmBaram (including anGavastram) that is contrasting to hue coloured complexion and a tilak on His forehead.

The following sloka talks about that instance when He passed through Ayodhya street and how 2

people fell in love with Him.

Gandarva rAja pratimam lOke vikyAta pauruSam
dhIrGaBahUm mahAsattvam matta mAdhanGa gAminam
chandra kAntAnanaM rAmam aThIva priyadarSanam
rUpam aUdArya gunaiH pumsAm DriSti cita aparAhinAm

People from different background, from different 3

genders observed Rama. As each individual has unique characteristic, he/she associated them with Rama.

Gandarva rAja pratimam - Chitrarathan was a Gandarva king and considered to be handsome. The ladies on the streets of Ayodhya observed that the Gandarva was no match to 4

Rama’s beauty.

lOke vikyAta pauruSam - young men of Ayodhya knew that Rama did a dhanur banga (Siva Dhanusu/bow) and marvelled at the strong shoulders of Bhagawan.

Srimad Ramayanam - description of Rama and Lakshmana by King Janaka

One of the key highlights of Bala Kandam in Srimad Ramayanam is the celestial marriage of Rama and Sita.

The background to this is that Rishi Vishwamitra takes Rama and Lakshmana for duSta niGrahaM and SiSta 1

paripAlanam in line with Bhagawan’s statement ‘paritrAnAyA sAdUnAm vinASAya catuSkritAm’.

Rishi does penance to get Rama and Sita married as he knows the incarnation of Bhagawan and Thayar. Once yajna got completed, he took them to Vidarba kingdom 2

for which King Janaka was the king.

King Janaka was said to be Rishi Yajnavalkyar’s disciple and a brahma jnAni. He is one who was contented in the nirguna brahmam, however when Rishi Vishwamitra brings Rama and Lakshmana to the yajnA salA of King Janaka, he was instantly 3

attracted to the rUpa saunDaryA of Rama and Lakshmana.

Valmiki describes this episode using the following slokas

इमौ कुमारौ भद्रं ते देवतुल्यपराक्रमौ
गजसिंहगती वीरौ शार्दूलवृषभोपमौ
पद्मपत्रविशालाक्षौ खड्गतूणीधनुर्धरौ
अश्विनाविव रूपेण समुपस्थितयौवनौ 4

यदृच्छयैव गां प्राप्तौ देवलोकादिवामरौ
कथं पद्भ्यामिह प्राप्तौ किमर्थं कस्य वा मुने

Rama and Lakshmana have the ability to adapt themselves to the surroundings. As they come from the royal lineage, the ability to display their strong character is noticed by King Janaka. 5

Rama gunAs from Ayodhya Kandam, Srimad Ramayanam

One of the important differences between Rama and other gods is that there’s an underlying respect for them whilst for Rama, it is the appreciation of His kalyAna gunAs upon which an entire epic is written.1

Rama’s avatar can be mentioned through

artitO mAnuSE lOkE jajnE viSnu sanAtanaH

Indicating that Bhagawan Vishnu incarnated as a human.

It is important to note that love for that form is not guaranteed even if He is an avatar. An example would 2

be Parasurama, people were intimidated by Him.

So, what made people love Rama? His kalyana gunas which appeal to common people that makes them want Him. Valmiki calls out cross section of people, young and old, men and women, different classes that could connect with Rama. 3

Let us look at some of them.

adOSa Darsi - one who does not find fault with others. Even more beautiful is that He would quietly acknowledge if someone were to point a defect at Him.

svadOSa paradOSa vitu - Does this mean, is he oblivious to the faults of others? 4

Of course not, it’s just His great gunA that would keep it in heart and not display it for others would find out.

Personality of Rama -

ஸர்வதா அபிகத சத்பி சமுத்திர இவ ஸிந்துபி ஆர்யா சர்வ சமஷ்ச்சைவ சதய்வ ப்ரியதர்ஷின

Just as rivers eventually flow into the sea, all the learned people in Ayodhya were eager to converse with Rama on topics of higher learning.

As an embodiment of all good qualities, He brings delight to His mother, Kausalya.

His majestic appearance equals an ocean and determination that of Himalayas

விஷ்ணுனா சதரூஷோ வீர்யே சோமவத் ப்ரியதர்ஷின
காலாக்னி சதருஷ க்ரோதே க்ஷமய ப்ரிதிவி சமஹா

His valour match Vishnu's and looks resemble the pleasing moon.

His anger matches to the fire in pralayam and tendency to forgive match that of Mother Earth. 3

ரக்ஷிதா ஜீவலோகஸ்ய தர்மஸ்ய பரிரக்ஷிதா
ரக்ஷிதா சுவஸ்ய தர்மஸ்ய ஸ்வஜனஸ்ய ச ரக்ஷிதா

He is someone who cares for the wellbeing of all living entities.

He is the protector of dharma.

He follows His dharma strictly and ensures His people follow them too.

Have you ever heard about,"The Golden Ratio"?
The Golden Ratio or Phi(Greek) is a mathematical ratio of nature. Mother Nature is the most exquisite artist in herself.

&Its this Phi she uses to create all the beauty in World.
If anyone uses this ratio correctly in their art,it can turn into a spell-binding piece of work.Such is the significance of'Phi'.But my thread isn't about it.Its about somethin called'Fibonacci Series'&who actually made it

Phi is related to Fibonacci series(0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34...)
&this series is responsible for everything dat is beautiful on this planet. Just try to calculate the ratio of any 2 successive numbers ÷ each of them by the number before it in above infinite series.

E.g. 3/2=1.5, 5/3=1.666, 8/5=1.6, 34/21=1.61904 and so on. Did you notice something? The ratio is coming almost same every time. This ratio is called 'Phi 'which is numerically represented as 1:1.618. This Golden Spiral is made in exact proportion of 1:1.618.

The thing I want to emphasize here is that we always find only those things appealing and attractive that have Phi. It's in our subconscious. Isn't it some revelation? We are the part of this Divine proportion of the God or the Mother Nature. Check these:

Some tweets on Adi Shankaracharya and in particular the Guru Parampara of @sringerimath. [I had done this series earlier 5 years ago on account of Shishya Sweekaram].

Adi Shankara established the Sringeri Peetham as the 1st of 4 amnaaya peetams.

The four being
1. Sarada Peetam at Sringeri.
2. Govardhana Peetam at Puri
3. Kalika at Dwaraka
4. Jyothir at Badarikashramam.

He installed his 4 most prominent shishyas as heads of the peetams.

Sureshwaracharya was assigned to Sringeri as its head.

Sringeri is a corruption of Rshyashrunga giri.

Rshyashrunga maharshi [and his father Sri Vibandhaka Maharshi] did their tapas at this place.

It is at Sringeri that Shankara spent 12 of His precious 32 years!!

That gives you and idea how much He loved this place.

Rshyashruga maharshi had a horn on his forehead, a result of being born to a deer. His mere presence was enough to shower rains!!

Rshyashrunga was one who led Putrakamesthi Yaagam of Dasaratha Maharaj and which resulted in Sri Rama's birth!!

MAHARAJA CHHATRASAL BUNDELA was the great Bundela King who revolted against the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.
Chhatrasal Bundela was born in year 1649 CE in Maur Hill of Bundela region to Champat Rai and Lal Kunwar. He was the descendent of Rudra Pratap of Orchha.

His ancesters were the vassals of Mughal Emperor. He drew inspiration from his father and revolted against the alien rule of Mughals. He was just 12 yrs old when his parents died in fight against the Mughal Army of Aurangzeb in 1661.

When his beloved father attained martyrdom in the year 166, the young Chatrasal was present in the last battle of his father against the Mughal and from these valiant campaigns,..

..he gathered the courage to free Bundelkhand from Aurangzeb’s rule.
He joined the Mughals initially, and was recommended by the Rajput King Mirza Jai Singh to be recruited in the Mughal Army in order to support their Deccan Campaigns.

But serving the alien rule of Mughals which brought chaos and misery to Bundelkhand was unacceptable for Chatrasal Bundela and his father’s incessant struggle against the Mughals kept the fire of independent Bundelkhand alive in his heart.
