Whether you're a full-time freelancer or you just want freelance on the side you have to know your price so you don't get busto.

We will discuss the three most common ways how to price your services:

- Hourly rate
- Project rate
- Service as a product

But basics first.

Don't think about the price as a one-night-stand.

Rather build a very close relationship with it.

It:

- helps you to increase/decrease demand
- gives hints about how good/bad your service is
- positions yourself on the market

Know how to use this tool.

Cheaper ≠ Better

Imagine someone selling you a car for $350.

What would you think about it?

Exactly.

Set the fair price, not the scam inducing one.

The cheap price will bring you a specific sort of people.
- to be polite.

So always compete with quality, not price.

1. Hourly rate

This is the most straightforward way how to set your price.

How to set it?

The basic equation may look like:
[Monthly target profit ($) + All costs ($)] / no. of billable hours in a month

PS. Even if you're starting out don't get much lower under this price.

I want to tell you a short story about a man named Joshua Abraham Norton. Born in 1818 and a resident of the city of San Francisco, CA. Joshua Norton in 1859, declared himself "Norton I, Emperor of the United States.

In 1819 he sent out a letter to many newspapers, which several of them printed. It read:

When a man sent his private security guards to arrest him, the citizens were outraged. Scaring editorials were written in the newspapers defending him, proposing he was more defensible than the other men of his time.

The official police issued a formal apology.

Exactly 5 years ago, it was my last day at work at my former organization and I sent out a valedictory mail to my team. It was a truly emotional experience.

1. We DO NOT have two presidents at the same time.  Biden's boorish conduct, holding policy press conferences, attending official events, discussing foreign policy with heads' of state, etc., is truly appalling.  And the media are encouraging this, of course.

4. Biden's "president-elect" declarations are truly the stuff of a tyrant.  God forbid, should he become president, it is clear he will govern the same way as it is the way of the radical Left.  While this is an uphill fight, it is a fight that MUST go forward!

1. SMB Deal Sourcing ~ SALES PROSPECTING

In order to buy a SMB, you need to see hundreds of candidates. How do you do that?

Like in Sales, you have two main prospecting avenues:

1. Inbound - Advertise or network with SMB professionals in your target market, e.g. business brokers / SBA lenders / CPAs / lawyers.

2. Outbound - Find and contact owners of SMBs that fit your criteria to see if / when they want to sell.

Inbound is nice because the opportunities come to you. But they might be few and far between.

Outbound is grunt work, i.e. "Dialing for dollars." Because of this (not in spite of it), outbound has advantages:

- More opportunities.

Higher-volume deal flow → better odds of a successful acquisition. Remember, it only takes one.

- Less competition.

Educated people shy away from grunt work. Your willingness to sweat will be rewarded with buried treasure (off-market deals).

Every modern effort to crush free speech begins as a crusade against "disinformation." China's massive Internet censorship apparatus was initially justified as an effort to control the spread of false information, and the Chinese state still describes it that way.

The @Uber-@Postmates merger will ONLY benefit monopolistic pandemic profiteers focused on growing their power at the expense of restaurants, workers, and consumers.

2/ Both @Uber & @Postmates’ business models are built on trapping restaurants & workers in a predatory payday loan cycle of dependence and destitution.

And both @Uber & @Postmates use the “Break it till you Make It” approach to the law.

3/ @Uber was a vanguard in the business of providing illegal taxi service and misclassifying workers as “contractors.”

@Postmates pioneered the predatory practice of stealing menus and offering unauthorized delivery service from restaurants without their knowledge.

4/ Now, unauthorized deliveries are one of the apps’ favorite bait-and-switch tactics for convincing restaurants to pay 30-60% commissions.

When COVID-19 shut down dining rooms & dozens of cities capped fees to help restaurants, both @Uber & @Postmates lobbied hard to stop them.

It's funny, I only changed one small thing

This client of mine was selling a high-ticket offer ($5,000 program)

They were having TERRIBLE click through rates on their emails

The product was super cool and their results were amazing

The emails didn't SUCK that bad

So I knew it was a strategy issue, not a copy thing...

These were the steps of the funnel:

Step 1: Email
Step 2: VSL
Step 3: Phone call
Step 4: Purchase

After digging in, this is the fatal mistake I found:

They were selling step 4 before they got to step 2

They used their emails to talk up the product before they ever got the prospect to the VSL

I took a few steps back

Revamped their emails to sell the click to the VSL

And all metrics went up 2x in just one week

We didn't continue working together so I don't know how much more money they made

But I know it's a lot based on the first week of data I received
