Thread: What this entire mess is all about. It’s not about GOP vs Dem. Look around you. There’s plenty of people who claim to be GOP that side with the Dems. It’s about a Constitutional Republic vs. the tyranny of the majority.

Look at what the Dems say. We got the most votes. We should win. THAT is the tyranny of the majority. Our system was deliberately set up to suppress the tyranny of the majority. That’s the purpose of the Electoral College.
Without the electoral college, New York and Los Angeles would set policy for the entire nation. This may come as a surprise to some, but there are lots of people in America who don’t want to be like New Yorkers or Los Angelans.
We believe in marriage for a lifetime, not for convenience. We think sex outside of marriage is destructive to society and leads to evils such as abortion.
We’re willing to tolerate and even laugh at the excesses of the coastal elites so long as they don’t try to force us to live their way. We get to express those views in who we vote for. And you don’t get to tell us we can’t express those views. Because you’re not the boss of us.
The Constitution is. I watched a video of Van Jones doing a TED talk where he expressed alarm that the Constitution puts the decision of who becomes President in the hands of the state legislators. He was even more alarmed that Congress could override that decision.
He’s a lawyer. He sure got a lousy education. He didn’t even know, until recently, what the Constitution says. It’s THE foundational document for who we are as Americans. We swear allegiance to it when we join the military.
Immigrants swear allegiance to it when they become citizens. Natural-born citizens SHOULD swear allegiance to it, but far too many have never even read it. This election cycle, they’re getting an education in the Constitution. And many don’t like it.
They don’t like it because that’s not the system of government they want to live under. And THAT is the cruz of this battle. Are we still a Constitutional Republic? Or are we going to become a majoritarian democracy, which means the end of the United States?
This isn’t a fight between Democrats and Republicans. This is a fight between Americans and people who want to destroy America. If you sit on the sidelines for this one, you won’t get a chance to fight for freedom later. If we fail to get this right, America is over.
That’s why you can’t afford to give up. It’s OK to get disheartened. To have doubts, To be fearful. Every combat vet will tell you that they had all those emotions. But they pressed on. Because their battle was life or death.
They didn’t have the option to fight again another day. And neither do you. The threat we face today is no less real than the threat we faced in WWII. During that war, the survival of our country, of the entire world, was at stake. And that’s exactly what’s at stake today.
So, if you need a break, take one. If you’re fearful, pray for peace. But whatever you do, and however long it takes, get back into the fight. Freedom is on the line. Patriots must hold the line.

There is no better way of learning the craft of product, or proving your potential to employers, than just doing it.

You do not need anybody's permission. We don't have diplomas, nor doctorates. We can barely agree on a single standard of what a Product Manager is supposed to do.

But – there is at least one blindingly obvious industry consensus – a Product Manager makes Products.

They find their own way.
