1. Labels

(Also referred to as "y")

The label is the piece of information that we are predicting.

For example:

- the animal that's shown in a picture
- the price of a house
- whether a message is spam or not

2. Features

(Also referred to as "x")

These are the input variables to our problem. We use these features to predict the "label."

For example:

- pixels of a picture
- number of bedrooms of a house
- square footage of a house

(This is also known as "examples.")

A sample is a particular instance of data (features or "x.") It could be "labeled" or "unlabeled."

[THREAD] memory loss and mental health. It is something that we don’t often put together. However, it is a very common issue for many individuals whose mental health is not doing well. So why do we get that memory loss? Is it permanent? Are there ways to cope with that?

The reason why memory loss happens is not because our brains are not working well or somehow not registering events but because we are so tuned in to our thoughts and emotions that we are not paying attention to our environment.

Given that we are not paying attention to what is going on around us, we are less likely to remember them. Also, issues such as depression and anxiety affect the way we sleep and sleep has been proven to be the time when short term memories are transferred into long term memory.

When we can’t sleep well, that process is disturbed and we may lose some memories during that process shift. Also, we may feel as unable to access our childhood or even recent memories when our mental health is not doing well and we may be scared that it is permanent.

However, in this situation, it is not so much that we have lost our memories. It is more a problem of retrieval. The memories are still there in our big library, but we just can’t find them. Furthermore, memories are highly dependent on our mood.

You may not get reply for couple of days. This happens cuz the person has many DMs pending and is left with no bandwidth to reply

Be more generous in the approach. Follow up more politely with sentences like "looking forward to your reply"

That is why she normally prefers having her flatmate around or at least pretend her flatmate was around when she had a male visitor. I said her fears were valid because, stranger danger.
We ate lunch, gisted, played scrabble (which she cheated to win. Lool) and saw a movie.

When it was time to leave, I turned and asked her, do you know if you went on Twitter to say I raped you, nobody would ask question? They will believe because you are a woman. She nodded in the affirmative and said she knows.

You maybe asking why no arrests. Why if all this evidence is collected and true we are not seeing justice.

Simply put this is on scale so large, it could topple Governments.

QBI deduction optimization is a great end of year planning technique For high income SMB owners.

When used correctly, optimizing has saved my clients tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.

If you are already on it then good for you.

The QBI or Qualified Business Income deduction was a part of the TCJA from 2017.

When congress lowered the corp tax rate to 21% they decided to throw a bone to small businesses by offering a 20% deduction on qualified income.

These include Schedule C and pass through entities.

This allows anyone conducting trade or business out of a pass through entity to take a 20% deduction on their income. Great right?

However there are a few limitations including a phase out for high income earners.

The phase begins at 326k for married and 163k for single/HOH.

If your taxable income is above that threshold you are allowed to deduct the lesser of:

1. 20% of QBI
Or
2a. 1/2 W-2 wages (or)
2b. 1/4 W-2 wages + 2.5% unadjusted property basis (RE pros look here).

This means there is a wage limitation to your QBI deduction.

Simple example. Married S-Corp owner makes 300k after he pays employees - what is his deduction? 60k

Ex2. Married S-Corp owner makes 500k after he pays employees 100k total wages - what is his deduction? 50k.

The owner cannot take the 20%, but is limited to 1/2 of wages paid.
