Many people fail to, or refuse to, understand how the type of CLP motions ruled out of order by the general secretary lead to an unsafe space for Jewish members if debated.

Here’s a step-by-step guide...

1) EHRC finds that Labour has committed unlawful acts against Jewish members, and that the leadership failed to tackle antisemitism. That ruling is final. It’s not for individuals to accept/reject and/or challenge.

The EHRC is a statutory body. They investigated for 18 months.

2) Jeremy Corbyn refuses to accept ‘all the findings’ and insists the ‘scale of the problem was exaggerated,’ directly parroting the *denial* that EHRC found to be a huge part of the problem.

3) Corbyn refuses to retract or apologise and is suspended by GS.

Corbyn’s comments after the release of the EHRC really underlines the problem he has. The problems that led to the EHRC being forced to conclude the party had acted unlawfully and discriminated against it’s Jewish members.

Even when given the chance to apologise, he refuses.

4) Campaigns of support and solidarity with Corbyn spring up. These campaigns are the direct result of Corbyn’s suspension for promoting denial of Labour antisemitism and refusing to clear a very low bar.

5) These campaigns are embraced by Corbyn himself. The beast grows.

Do you know readymade store bought packets need not disclose an additive if it's less than 2% in India?

For ex store-bought packet of wheat flour adds soya powder. Why? Mainly to preserve the whiteness they say. Why is soya bad? Most people with allergies react to soya terribly. Maida has bleach n so does other refined flour

A close friend's kid took a famous brand of noodles n then he got itching...on testing the masala they found peanut powder less than 2%. Peanut is a top allergen. Same with oils n food from bakeries n other brands u don't know half the additives added.

They add sodium benzoate to preserve organic food n drinks by top herbal brands too. Benzoate reacts readily n highly n causes cross reactions n allergies to already allergic people

This week marks 36 years since the Sri Lankan military carried out organized massacres and forced evictions of Tamils living in the Manal Aru region, for the sole purpose of seizing their lands in order to settle Sinhalese people there.

I am seeing the press engaging in what I would call verbal abuse. When you invite a "guest" onto a program to present his or her POV, or to discuss their "expert" opinion on a subject, and then laugh at them, roll your eyes and talk over them, ask only rhetorical questions 2/

...and then accuse the guest of harming/doing disservice to the audience, you are behaving like an abuser. You are "informing" no one of anything other than your willingness to bully and abuse other human beings. Hosts with honest disagreements can and should ASK questions 3/

The hallmark of sincere disagreement is the listener who first checks for understanding of the speaker's POV, then asks why they say that. The host could challenge their arguments on the merits, with their evidence, then allow the guest to respond. This is how adults act. 4/

Immature, irrational, indoctrinated, and/or abusive, people talk OVER, mock, belittle, and accuse guests with different points of view of being "dangerous" or "harming" viewers/listeners. This is the behavior of deeply insecure people who know their ideas lack merit. 5/

Being away from family can be tough during the best of times but this pandemic has truly tested and damn near broken me.
It was only a matter of time that someone closer to you gets infected and that happened 3 weeks ago when my brother fell ill (he's recovered now).

The initial bout of panic and scrambling for travel arrangements (it was looking pretty bad for a while) as his condition started to deteriorate was thankfully short as we needed cool heads more than rash decisions (taking 2 flights and passing through 3 big airports).

My other brother and my sister had to physically stop my parents from being in the same room as him. Shouting was involved. All that was quite difficult to manage from a distance but we have learnt of thousands of families around the world go through much tougher situations.

The medics, I can't even imagine how they are managing. The governments and the people are both siding with the virus in this long war.
Its all just so baffling to me, and even more absurd with every passing day that we have imposed it upon ourselves. On the most vulnerable.

Anyway, my brother is an otherwise fit 34 years old cyclist and he loves to go hiking every chance he gets so he probably had the best chance out of whole family to recover from the pneumonia in both lungs and dropping oxygen levels...

"When is Alt Season?" is a question we all ask a lot so let's take a look at a possible scenario that could answer that question.

The last real alt season occurred directly following the Dec. 17, 2017 $BTC ATH.

IMO we need Bitcoin to make a real run before it brings back the dumb money.

The previous Bitcoin run up began approx Dec. 16, 2016 when it broke its previous high and began a journey into price discovery. Let's compare that to now. We just poked through to a new ATH the other day, but the journey is just beginning. In 2016 alts didnt immediately go nuts

when btc entered price discovery. There are windows of alt movements during a larger bitcoin move where you get mini alt seasons such as June-July 2017 and most recently, May-Aug 2020. These are just periods where Bitcoin ranges and lets alts move.

So, what started the '17-'18 season then? Well, that's easy. FOMO

That FOMO didn't begin until roughly November of 2017, 11 months AFTER Bitcoin entered price discovery.

And the mania didn't begin until early December 2017 almost 1 year after Bitcoin entered price discovery.

The reason a reactionary, cyclical analysis of politics is wrong isn't because "muh fascism" or "muh morals", it's because it doesn't account for the fundamental systemic changes wrought by the capitalist mode of production. A single dictator can't control anarchy of the system.

We just watched them run an election where "Socialists", Republicans, alt-righters, dissident nrx people, and ultraleftists, were all backing Biden and shitting their pants about a Trump coup. They burned half the country down, and locked down the other half just to secure a win.

The Republican Party is a shell of its former self, because the mere threat of Trump style divergence from the neoliberal order caused half its flunkies to run to the Democrats, including Charles Koch & half the Bush administration. The realignment is over. A new GOP will emerge.
