Intraday trading is all about identifying 3 components 1) Trend 2) Direction 3) Momentum
(TDM).
Trend - Developing cpr width
Direction - PivotShiftIndicator
Momentum - PivotRSI.

Just finished devloping color codes for identifying trades based on TDM.

#FreeTip Most of the stocks after coming out of a base moves 20%-25% after which it starts consolidating to form another base. So ideally book profits at 20%-25%.Only exception is when a stock goes up 20% within 3 wks of breakout,in which case hold for min 8 wks. O Neil Rule.

Basic rule for day trading in option buying for beginners.
1) Stick to monthly atm options.
2) Suppose u have a capital of Rs 5 lacs. Your max risk appetite is 1% which is 5k. Assume u look at BNF chart and find a buy setup at 35000 ...

with a stop of 34900 ( 100 point difference). This essentially means that the 35000 atm options will have a stop of Rs 200 ( delta 0.5) assuming all other things are equal. So the number of lots U should typically deal with based on 1% Risk on 5 lacs capital ...

....
is 5000 / 200, which is 25 , ie 1 lot. If your risk appetite is 2%, then u are allowed to take 50, ie 2 lots. Hence if option price is say, Rs 400, ur stop will be 200 and u have to deal with one lot which means your deployment is 25 x 400 = Rs 10,000....

...
On the contrary if you deploy the full amount, 500000/(25x400) = 1250 , 50 lots, u r bound to lose the capital at the shortest possible time.
3) This might appear ridiculous, but this is the only way to go steady with control over risk.

Option stop difference is Rs 50 and not Rs 200 as mentioned. Simple calculation overlooked. Accordingly number of lots will increase . However concept remains unchanged.

#FreeTip If a longer term MA is sloping upwards and price manages to drop below long term MA and subsequently moves above it, it is a great buy zone for a massive move . Longer the MA better is the effectiveness. 200 period is ideal. Any time frame works.

D and M can be assessed only after mkt opens. Trend can be assessed the prev day through Cam lvl 3 width. Try trading BNF ONLY when Cam width is narrower (Red) which can be assessed the prev day. U can see improved results.

How you can filter stocks for Intraday trades - 🧵

As a kid, we would do homework before school the next day - you have to do homework here too. A specific sector performs on a particular day and studying things a day before will help you spot that particular sector. (1/11)

To prepare for the next trading day, you got to check the Index charts of all sectors. You got to keep an eye on a specific Index if you see a few factors:

- If any Index closed exactly at the resistance, you can get a trade on either side on the next day. (2/11)

- If it gave a rejection candle at resistance.

- If any Index closed exactly at support, you can get a trade on either side the following day.

- If there was a bullish signal at the support.

- If any Index gave a breakout or breakdown and then gave a good closing. (3/11)

- If any Index has taken support at 50 or 200 EMA.

Once you spot the Index, look at all the stocks in that particular Index. Pick at least 3-4 stocks from that Index and add them to your watchlist for the next day. It's ideal to check both higher and lower timeframes. (4/11)

What you should do next day? (When I am unable to check Indices and stocks a day before, I sometimes directly start with this process.)

- Start with checking the top gainers/losers list. I observe market from 9:15 to 9:45am to check the sectors performing well on that day.(5/11)

My Basic Trend Following system :

EMA-9> EMA>21>EMA> 63> EMA> 200.

RSI > 55

Weekly bases - Minimum 4 weeks.

Volume up by 200% .

Institutional sponsorship must.
Leading group
Annual Growth > 15 %
Quarterly growth > 15%
PEG <2.5

A few thoughts on how and why you should focus on your health. 1/9

In chasing money goals, it is easy to forget that all the money in the world can’t buy good health. As we grow older, our health determines the quality of life, not money.
Good health also means the ability to bounce back faster if unforeseen incidents occur. 2/9

Health goals should be about how you feel, not how you look. Wanting to look a certain way, influenced by celebs and influencers who fake it with lights and photography, use performance-enhancing drugs, or hit the genetic lottery, is a recipe for unhappiness. 3/9

Sitting is the new smoking. Setting simple activity goals in terms of how much I move (calories burnt) and reminders to stand up every 45 mins has had the most impact on me. The current health challenge in Zerodha is to set a daily activity goal & try reaching 90% of the time 4/9

Sleeping by 9 pm & getting a workout at 5 am has been helpful. Sleeping early reduces the chances of bingeing when we are drained and have low self-control at the end of the day. A workout in the morning also increases the odds of making healthier choices throughout the day. 5/9
