TradingView isn't just charts

It's much more powerful than you think

9 things TradingView can do, you'll wish you knew yesterday: 🧵

Collaborated with @niki_poojary

1/ Free Multi Timeframe Analysis

Step 1. Download Vivaldi Browser

Step 2. Login to trading view

Step 3. Open bank nifty chart in 4 separate windows

Step 4. Click on the first tab and shift + click by mouse on the last tab.

Step 5. Select "Tile all 4 tabs"
What happens is you get 4 charts joint on one screen.

Refer to the attached picture.

The best part about this is this is absolutely free to do.

Also, do note:

I do not have the paid version of trading view.
2/ Free Multiple Watchlists

Go through this informative thread where @sarosijghosh teaches you how to create multiple free watchlists in the free version.

https://t.co/KZ86WfMMMK
3/ Free Segregation into different headers/sectors

You can create multiple sections sector-wise for free.

1. Long tap on any index/stock and click on "Add section above."
2. Secgregate the stocks/indices based on where they belong.

Kinda like how I did in the picture below.
4/ How to use the risk management tool properly on trading view?

Best use of the risk management tool on tradingview is explained in this thread by @price_trader_

https://t.co/9RW1KfQ1Ak
5/ Access to Global Markets

Since I have started using trading view, I deleted all the other trading apps on my phone, including moneycontrol and https://t.co/yzQSzUOiG7.

We used to use those websites to usually check global markets.

I just do that via Tradingview now.
6/ Can publish ideas on Tradingview

It's not just a charting tool, you can create posts that can create a following for you.

This would be best used by technical analysts.
7/ Can follow people just like Twitter

If you like someone's charts that traders keep publishing you can find them on trading view and follow them.

Now you get their analysis every day.
8/ How to apply more than 3 moving averages for free in tradingview?

@JayneshKasliwal shows you how in the thread below

https://t.co/M5BFsPlRNo
9/ Awesome indicators

Also, you can find out the most used indicators by people.

If the indicators never worked, so many people wouldn't use them.

Can study the logics of these indicators.
Some traders use indicators they have made themselves.

I know two traders who are really famous who have shared their indicators on Twitter for free.

You need tradingview to use these indicators.
If you found this useful, please do RT first tweet.

Follow to never miss them.

Expiry day Trading:

How to become better?

When I had spoken to him on phone he advised me to backtest all expiries and rigorously practice them again and again to develop conviction. Superb advice!

Great article from @AsheSchow. I lived thru the 'Satanic Panic' of the 1980's/early 1990's asking myself "Has eveyrbody lost their GODDAMN MINDS?!"

The 3 big things that made the 1980's/early 1990's surreal for me.

1) Satanic Panic - satanism in the day cares ahhhh!

2) "Repressed memory" syndrome

3) Facilitated Communication [FC]

All 3 led to massive abuse.

"Therapists" -and I use the term to describe these quacks loosely - would hypnotize people & convince they they were 'reliving' past memories of Mom & Dad killing babies in Satanic rituals in the basement while they were growing up.

Other 'therapists' would badger kids until they invented stories about watching alligators eat babies dropped into a lake from a hot air balloon. Kids would deny anything happened for hours until the therapist 'broke through' and 'found' the 'truth'.

FC was a movement that started with the claim severely handicapped individuals were able to 'type' legible sentences & communicate if a 'helper' guided their hands over a keyboard.
