In an uptrending market if the candle size decreases
a) but in an upward trajectory, the chances of price falling is high.
b) but in an horizontal / downward trajectory, the chances of continuing trend high

#FreeTip Most of the stocks after coming out of a base moves 20%-25% after which it starts consolidating to form another base. So ideally book profits at 20%-25%.Only exception is when a stock goes up 20% within 3 wks of breakout,in which case hold for min 8 wks. O Neil Rule.

A simple strategy; Cam breakout strategy; Major rules for longs r morning open above R3; Long when full candle ab R4 and ab 25ema; Exit when price drops bel 25ema or bel R3 or till 3.15. Rev for short. Backtest from 2019 - Profit factor 2.06 / Finer rules confidential.

A) Short - 1) close less than ema200, prev day vwap, cam l3, floor pivot low; 2) distance between prev day vwap and cam l3 & floor pivot low should not be more than 1.5% (to avoid over extension); 3)vwap less than ema200

Position taking between 945 am till 245 pm.

Cover at close or when price crosses 2 std deviations above current vwap or when price crosses weekly pivot low from downwards or when price crosses daily pivot low from downwards.

3. Find the exact price levels at which OI is being added.

Where is the action taking place?

For eg, Nifty Heatmap Can easily scan for:

- Long Build up = Price Up and OI up
- Long Unwinding = Price Down and OI down
- Short Buildup = Price Down and OI up
- Short Covering = Price Up and OI down

Price levels of OI being added:

• Check 15 mins Built-up in any stock
• Can find Intraday Bullish and bearish trend
• Eg of IBUL who was down 5% on Friday. Short Built-up had started in the morning itself.
• Shows the quantities which are being traded in those intervals.

Time Intervals:

• There are 25, time intervals available every day.

• If a stock has to go up or down a lot it will be heavily dominated in these time intervals.

• IBUL had 10 times short built up on Friday. -5.79 %

• ITC had 14 long built-ups on Friday. +2.6%.

Lets start with the harsh truth.

80% of traders just maintain a trading journal and never evaluate.

Recording your trades on day-to-day basis is just maintaining a trade book which your broker can furnish anytime.

Hence this exercise of recording trades is simply futile.

Things to record in the Trading Journal:

6. Sell Date

Once all the records are in place you need to build an analytics tool.

Trade records on its own is just the raw data which needs to be processed to derive info out of it.

Record your 50 or 100 trades.

Thereafter, analyse the following:

1. No. of wins
2. No. of Losses
3. % of winning trades ( No. of wins/Total trades)
4. Avg gain %
5. Avg loss %
6. Gain to Loss ratio ( 4./5.)
7. Reward to Risk ratio
8. Open Risk
