You can literally smell how desperate the Left is getting to save the idea that @carterwpage & @GeorgePapa19 are going to be slapped into handcuffs by Mueller & shipped off to prison.

 As I discussed in the linked column below, they don't have anything on Carter Page and they never did. All that supposedly 'verified' evidence the FBI claimed to have that proved he was a foreign agent?

As the evidence is rolled out that political partisans inside the DOJ/FBI targeted the Trump campaign with a counterintel op to entrap it by sending confidential intel assets posing as Russian agents, the desperation is getting palpable.
Alexander Downer, Stefan Halper and Joseph Mifsud are all tied to the *Western* intel community. Did I say tied? I meant they work inside it, have deep roots there.

All 3 live/work inside the UK/US/Austraila intel community.
Yet the narrative of the Trump/Russia Election Collusion story demands at least ONE of these three men just HAS to be a real, live Russian spy.

So they've picked Mifsud. Too much is publicly known about Downer - who give interviews - and Halper to pretend they are Putin spies.
.@LeeSmithDC already wrote extensively about how exceedingly curious it is that for a guy who was supposedly outed more than a year ago as a Russian spy trying to infiltrate the Trump campaign, nobody in the US/UKAustrailan intel communities discusses/treats Mifsud that way.
When you dig into Mifsud's background, what you learn is not only did he work extensively inside the US/UK/Aussie intel axis, he actually TRAINED INTELLIGENCE AGENTS for these countries.

So here's the problem with the idea a guy with these kind of extensive connections inside the US/UK/Aussie intel communities is really a Russian spy:

Nobody has presented any EVIDENCE of this.
Initially fans of the whole "The Trump-Russia Collusion Narrative Is TRUE!" story thought they had something in Alexander Downer.

Until he started talking. The interviews he gave quickly contradicted the narrative, his saying Papadopoulos never mentioned Hillary emails, etc.
The Trump/Russia Election Collusion fans also quickly realized they weren't getting anywhere trying to 'out' Stefan Halper as a real live Russian spy due to his, well, being extensively involved in US intel, but also on the payroll of the Pentagon.
Google "Adam Lovinger" & "Stefan Halper" together to quickly learn why Trump/Russia Collusion fans realized they weren't getting anywhere claiming Halper is a foreign agent of Russia.

No, they *have* to pin all their hopes on Mifsud.
It's an article of faith for Trump/Russia collusion fans that Mueller has evidence against both Page & Papadopoulos *proving* the alleged collusion between Trump's campaign & Putin.

It hasn't leaked & this evidence is more tightly guarded than Fort Knox.
Whenever Page/Papadopoulos give an interview, make a Tweet here, or whatever, journalists & others push back telling them 'Mueller is coming!' when they're not scratching their heads over why Carter & George aren't hiding in a bunker somewhere waiting to be hauled off to jail.
True believers in the Trump/Russia Collusion Conspiracy fantasy simply can't accept Mueller took his best shot at Papadopoulos already. It resulted in:

A perjury charge that resulted in a 14 day sentence.
These people simply talk themselves into believing a Mueller SC team that LEAKS LIKE A MOTHERF**KER somehow is holding back all the big evidence against GP & CP while they are now furiously digging through Fred Trump's estate taxes looking for something they can use.
It's all over but the cryin', but the True Believers can't admit it. The Crossfire Hurricane plot was exposed. We know who Mifsud's, Halper & Downer's handlers were. We know all about the OCONUS LURES that were employed to entrap Trump campaign personnel.
So here's where we're at: The True Believer's are now fighting to keep the Carter Page FISA warrant unredacted & hidden from public scrutiny because it's supposeldy vital to Mueller's case against Page. You know, all that 'solid evidence' supposedly in it.
Typo: fighting to keep it *redacted*. :P

There is no solid evidence against Carter Page. The guy supposedly at the center of the beating heart of all that Trump/Russia collusion, the best they had was 2nd/3rd hand stories told by anonymous sources to Steele.
None of it was verified, it's not even known at THIS point if the FBI ever managed to learn who Steele's Russian [supposedly!] sources were and interviewed them to check their stories out.

I have my suspicions though about who ONE of the sources was.

The actual story of what happened during the 2016 election is becoming clear:

The Hillary Clinton campaign decided to play a political dirty trick on the Trump campaign by hiring political operatives to invent a 'Trump/Russia collusion' narrative that would be sold to the media
To hide the fact they'd hired political operatives at a firm called 'Fusion GPS' to create fake info tying Trump & his campaign personnel to Russia, Hillary Clinton & the DNC used the law firm of Perkins Coie as a middle man to launder the money & wash their fingerprints off.
With Hillary & DNC's $, Fusion hires Christopher Steele, who begins compiling a dossier of Trump campaign/Russia allegations based on stories supposedly told to him by shadowy, anonymous, still unknown Russians inside Russia [or so the story goes], some in the Russian gov't.
Fusion GPS head Glenn Simpson & Steele then begin going around to the US news media outlets & shopping the dossier allegations. Several of these outlets, such as Mother Jones & Yahoo News, print stories including some of the allegations.
Now, if this had all stayed at this level, if all that had been done was paying political operatives to invent a smear that was then planted in DNC Media to create a narrative to try to damage the Trump campaign, that'd be bad enough, but all it'd be is dirty politics/Fake News.

So it's now October 10, 2018 and....Rod Rosenstein is STILL not fired.

He's STILL in charge of the Mueller investigation.

He's STILL refusing to hand over the McCabe memos.

He's STILL holding up the declassification of the #SpyGate documents & their release to the public.

I love a good cover story.......

The guy had a face-to-face with El Grande Trumpo himself on Air Force One just 2 days ago. Inside just about the most secure SCIF in the world.

And Trump came out of AF1 and gave ol' Rod a big thumbs up!

And so we're right back to 'that dirty rat Rosenstein!' 2 days later.

At this point it's clear some members of Congress are either in on this and helping the cover story or they haven't got a clue and are out in the cold.

Note the conflicting stories about 'Rosenstein cancelled meeting with Congress on Oct 11!"

First, rumors surfaced of a scheduled meeting on Oct. 11 between Rosenstein & members of Congress, and Rosenstein just cancelled it.

People who think *nothing* is happening, that the McCabe grand jury is just for show, and all the other grand juries we don't know about, when thye are revealed, they are just for show too, are in for a rough next couple of weeks.


How many LEAKS did you see about the fact the DOJ/SDNY was about to return an indictment against another major leaker?

Remember, this is for posterity so please....be honest!


You won't see any LEAKS in major news media about the McCabe indictment, either. That will be a total surprise when the mainstream media is forced to cover it. They already memory-holed the fact fed prosecutors are using a grand jury to prosecute McCabe.

A lot of people don't understand that Trump & his incoming team didn't face a normal transition period, like it was over a in a matter of a few weeks or months.

The DOJ transition period JUST ENDED when Sessions left. Almost 2 exact years to get it there.

Pompeo at the CIA took over a year before he was done and ready to shift over to the State Department.

All kinds of stuff has been going on behind the scenes nobody leaks or talks about.

We only had the barest mention of the fact the Clinton Email investigation restarted

Nobody leaked in a year that Huber was deep diving into the Clinton Foundation.
Keep that in mind as all the usual suspects continue to INSIST nothing is happening/going to happen.

FL prosecutor got this right. That's not a 'stand your ground' case. The guy doesn't have the hatchet in his hand and he's attempting to flee, not assauting the store owner.

Good case example of when NOT to shoot. He's going to prison.

You *might* in a looting situation following a natural disaster get away with dropping somebody running away from you carrying a Tv or something like that. MAYBE.

That's not the case here.

And the reason this is different from the most famous of FL's 'Stand Your Ground' cases, the Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin case, is that Martin sucker punched Zimmerman & was grounding & pounding him before lethal force came into play.

If you are going to point a handgun at someone else and pull that trigger, you had better be 100% certain you know the law in your state. This guy apparently didn't or forgot. And since it's on video & it's clear he's not under any kind of attack, he's going to prison.

Just assuming "Yeah, uh, my state DA isn't going to send me to prison for shooting this guy in the back running away from me carrying my TV/Stereo/whatever cuz hey, I have a *right to defend my property!* is....not smart.

Till gupta era the solid golden head wear was used in most days of the monarch.

But since the onset of 8th century it reduced in usage and was now used only as a ceremonial headwear.

Still mukut was being used prominently for ceremonial activities till recent times.

The kings mostly wore turbans ordained with pearls and gems while rarely anyone wore a true Mukut after 16th century.

There was an Asura, Kaumasura, who was doing penance to please Shiva and get a boon. To prevent him from asking for a boon, Devi Saraswati made him dumb (hence called Mookasur)
Later, Adi Parashakti slayed him and came to be called Mookambika.


It is said that Adi Shankaracharya had a vision in which Devi agreed to follow him provided he did not look back. He kept walking and was assured of her presence due to the sound of anklets. When he reached here in Kollur, he turned back as the sound of anklets had stopped.


So Devi stayed here and merged with the lingam. The place came to be called Mookambika Kshetram.
The linga has integrated on it’s left side MahaKali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswathi and on the right side- Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.


A swarna rekha (gold line) divides this linga into left and right portion. Adi Shakthi in this Udhbhavlinga form appears only here.
Devi sits in padmasana and has 4 hands.
Adi Shankaracharya installed the Sri Chakra in front of Devi and also composed the Soundarya Lahiri here.

Post Independence, Army wanted to select the most experienced Indian commander as Army chief. But Nehru without consulting anyone appointed Gen Rob Lockhart, a senior British Army officer as the Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) of the Indian Army.


Most people were shocked to know that Nehru selected a British Man after fighting for independence for over 200 years! Major Gen A A ‘Jick’ Rudra of the Indian Army was completely upset with the decision.


One day Lockhart met Nehru with a strategic plan and proposed many government directive defence policies for the country. He placed it on the table and explained the point to PM Nehru. After a while Lockhart walked out of the room and met AA Jick Rudra,+

Lockhart looked shell shocked and stunned. When asked what happened he said “The PM took one look at my paper and blew his top. Rubbish! Total rubbish! We don’t need a defence plan. Our policy is ahimsa (non-violence). We foresee no military threats. Scrap the army!”

1/ Recently, I learned about the concept of ‘struggle porn’. This refers to the fetish of sacrificing nearly everything (health, relationships, time) for your startup. I fear that this label is creating more harm than good.

2/ @nateliason wrote a fabulous article about this topic, which first introduced me to this concept. Everyone should read it:

3/ @alexisohanian also recently spoke about struggle porn, though referring to it as ‘hustle porn.’ (as the co-founder of @hustlefundvc, obviously I take issue with this pejorative definition of ‘hustle’, but that’s another topic)

4/ Struggling in itself isn’t necessarily bad. Let’s be real here--if you’re going to start a startup, you will struggle. Founders should expect to work harder generally than employees. You will be challenged in many ways and also be super rewarded in others. This is normal.

5/ However, if you are over-indexing on hard work without clear purpose and degrading your mental health/relationships in the process--then this is very bad and we obviously should not celebrate this behavior.

1 There's a chasm between an NLP technology that works well in the research lab and something that works for applications that real people use. This was eye-opening when I started my career, and every time I talk to an NLP engineer at @textio, it continues to strike me even now.

2 Research conditions are theoretical and/or idealized. A huge problem for so-called NLP or AI startups with highly credentialed academic founders is that they bring limited knowledge of what it takes to build real products outside the lab.

3 A product is ultimately a thing that people pay for - not just cool technology or user experience. But I’m not even talking about knowledge gaps in go-to-market work. I'm talking purely technical gaps: how you go from science project to performant + delightful user experience.

4 Most commoditized NLP packages solve well-understood problems in standard ways that sacrifice either precision or performance. In a research lab, this is not usually a hard trade-off; in general, no one is using what you make, so performance is less important than precision.

5 In software, when you’re making something for real people to use, these tradeoffs are a big deal. Especially if you’re asking those people to pay for what you’ve made (can’t get away from that pesky GTM thinking). They expect quality, which includes precision AND performance.
