Before 1857 a war was fought against The combined forces of britishers and the Nawab of Arcot.

If we have the swami bhakta like Bhamashah,jhalkari bai,Gora Badal and Mana Jhala in North so we have also ledends in south.

 Forget Batman,superman,spiderman like imaginary stories.
Learn your history books and remember the trio of Maa kuyili,Udaiyal and the queen Velu Nachiyar,
These 3 showed what is called patriotism and how a lady can defeat the army of britishers and Nawabs.
Queen Velu Nachiyar the first female freedom fighter against British Empire, Udaiyal who sacrificed her life to protect her queen and Kuyili who burnt herself to detonate the British weaponry should have been the Symbol of Gallantry and Sacrifice of Indian freedom Movement.
It was Kalaiyar Koil war in 1772, when her Husband King Muthuvaduganatha Udaiya Thevar martyred against the British and Nawab of Arcot. A personal tragedy, loss of Kingdom, tactical escape from the Sivaganagi and her depleted column of army, yet she remained unnerved.
Velu Nachiyar and Vellachi Escaped British, Kalaiyar Koil war in 1772 against British saw the loss and martyrdom of King Muthuvaduganatha Udaiya Thevar. She was informed about this tragedy while she was camping at Kollangudi.
She had no choice but to escape and to prepare for a long battle ahead. British added by Nawab of Arcot were chasing, encircling making all effort to eliminate her. A possible encounter was inevitable.
but for the heroic sacrifice of a Lady Udaiyal. Who denied delayed the British Military movement by refusing to divulge the details of Queen Velu Nachiyar escape. The brave lady Udaiyal was cut into two pieces.
Till date the Brave Lady Udaiyal is remembered as a village god in Kollangudi as “Vettu Udaiyal Kaali” (means kaali who bore received and accepted cuts from sword in saving Rani thereby stood by the side of Dharmam).
Velu Nachiyar along with her six year old daughter Vellachi finale successfully managed her escaped and took refuge in Virupatchi near Dindigul under the protection of Palayakaarar Kopaala Naayakkar, She was indebted to the sacrifice of Brave lady Udaiyal.
Queen Velu Nachiyar decided to raise an army of female warriors and named her after Udaiyal in respect of her Supreme sacrifice.
In the next seven year of hiding and constant movement, she prepared a strong valiant military.

She had pledged support from Dalavay Thandavaraya Pillai and Maruthu Pandiar brother the loyal and able chief. While Dalavay Thandavaraya Pillai was a military and administrative strategist the Maruthu Pandiar brothers were sturdy warriors in their prime.

Queen Velu was blessed to have an adopted daughter cum personal accompanying female warrior Kuyili. She should have been remembered for having made the willful supreme sacrifice of her life alongside the other two warriors
Queen Velu was successful in raising and motivating a completely armed and equipped female contingent of frontline warriors in those days. And of course to commemorate the sacrifice of Lady Udayal, She named the female battalion as udayal padai.
1780, Time had come for final assault and set free the kingdom of Sivagangai from British and Nawab of Arcot.  Her information about the logistics of British weaponry and soldiers was accurate. She decided to do something unbelievable.
On discovering the appropriate location of British store of weapons and ammunition,she planned a suicide attack.The legendary lady Kuyili,her loyal follower doused herself in oil and set herself ablaze before ramming into the store.
Huge explosion with a ring of fire followed total demolition of British weaponry and underneath was the silence of supreme sacrifice of Warrior Kuyili.
British army was virtually made disarmed through this one valiant efforts Queen velu added by the warrior brother Maruthu Pandiar made frontal assault. British and Nawab of Arcot had no choice but to retreat.But Queen Venu ensured to destroy the remotest of resistance in her ways
The Kingdom of Sivagangai was now retrieved. Mere sight of Sivagangai had engulfed her in deep trauma and unforgetable pain. The wound of losing her husband King Muthuvaduganatha Udaiya Thevar
the precarious Narrow escape along with her six year old daughter Vellachi and supreme sacrifice of loyalist follower Udayals and Kuyili had not erased as yet.
Its unfornute for us that we were never told about these warriors.

In short the queen Velu Nachiyar,Maa kuyili and Udaiyal teaches us that when women incarnates in the shakti swaroop she can defeat anyone.
Nothing in this world can defeat the women.

जब पूरी दुनिया विश्व में 2500 किग्रा के रॉकेट बना रही थी तब भारत विश्व का एकमात्र ऐसा देश था जो 250 किग्रा के क्रायोजेनिक रॉकेट बना रहा था और उसका श्रेय एकमात्र भारत के वैज्ञानिक को था वो हैं "Nambi Narayan".
एक थ्रेड पूरे Nambi मामले पर एवम् भारतीय वैज्ञानिकों की दशा पर।


शुरूआत होती है अक्टूबर 1994 से जब केरल के तिरूवनन्तपुरम् से दो मालदीव की लड़कियां मरियम राशिदा एवम् फौजिया हसन को गिरफ्तार किया जाता है जिनके पास से एक चित्र निकलता है जिसमें कुछ रॉकेट छपे होते हैं और वो सहज भाव में ही बता देतीं हैॆ कि वो ये चित्र इसरो से प्राप्त की हैं

व इसको उन्होंने पाकिस्तान को बेचा है। केरल पुलिस ने आनन फानन में स्वदेशी क्रायोजेनिक इंजन के डायरेक्टर नम्बी नारायण,डी शशिकुमार एवम् के चन्द्रशेखर को गिरफ्तार कर लिया।
भारतीय मीडिया ने कुछ ही पलों में बिना सबूत के पुलिस की जानकारी के आधार पर ही नम्बी को भारत का गद्दार बता दिया।

जिस समय नम्बी की गिरफ्तारी हुयी उस समय वो अपने प्रोजेक्ट की समाप्ति के बेहद नजदीक थे और यदि ये प्रोजेक्ट समय पर समाप्त हो जाता तो आज जिस स्थान पर NASA है वहां पर ISRO होता क्योंकि NASA के पास इतने हल्के रॉकेट बनाने की क्षमता नहीं थी।
नम्बी ने स्वयं NASA का ऑफर ठुकराया था।

दिसम्बर 1994 में मामला सीबीआइ एवम् IB के पास आया तब तक Nambi को ढेरों मानसिक एवम् शारीरिक प्रताड़ना दी जा चुकीं थीॆ व उनका दोष सिर्फ इतना था कि वो देशहित में काम कर रहे थे और केरल पुलिस पर CIA का दवाब था।

Battle of Navsari ---

Pulakeshin of the Chalukya dynasty ruling at Navsarika (modern-day Navsari) was one among several Hindu rulers who successfully defeated marauding Islamic invaders.

The Navsari branch of Chalukyas were related to and vassals of the Chalukyas of Vatapi (Badami). They ruled over parts of modern-day Gujarat and Maharashtra, to be precise southern Gujarat (Lata), Nashik region, and northern Konkan.

This region was brought under the Chalukyan rule by Vikramaditya I of the Vatapi Chalukya who then made his brother Dharashraya Jayasimha (Jayasimhavarman) the governor. Navsarika was the capital of this region.

Pulakeshin, son of Dharashraya Jayasimhavarman, became the ruler in 731 CE corresponding to the rule of Vatapi Chalukya Vikramaditya II. Pulakeshin, who later earned the title Avanijanashraya, defeated the invading Arab Ummayeds in a fierce battle at Navsari.

Information regarding this important battle came to light when the Navsari plate of Raja Pulakeshin was discovered. According to this plate, the battle with the Tajika army is said to have taken place in the year 490 of the Kalachuri Era roughly corresponding to 739 CE

The ancient Indian kings called a head crown as a Mukut and it would mostly constitute of a golden ornamental headgear like an oval cap with gems.

Sometimes it would also include a halo circle to show the divinity of the king

But in most cases very few Mukut with halo effect have been found.

Samudragupta in the gupta era coin. You can see the helmet like headwear on him.

Till gupta era the solid golden head wear was used in most days of the monarch.

But since the onset of 8th century it reduced in usage and was now used only as a ceremonial headwear.

Whereas earlier the Maharaja had to wear the mukut whenever his court was in session.

Still mukut was being used prominently for ceremonial activities till recent times.

But as times past the style of headwear also changed.

The kings mostly wore turbans ordained with pearls and gems while rarely anyone wore a true Mukut after 16th century.

Takshshila and Nalanda were the two prominent universities of ancient India.

Articles posted to Russian websites pick up false accusations against the Poles. These include bogus claims that Poland sabotaged the construction site of the Russia-to-Germany gas link and carried out a direct attack on the pipeline. 2/6

In 1970, as the Director of the Institute of Education of the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife), later Dean Faculty of Education, Prof. Babs Fafunwa & his team embarked on one of the most groundbreaking research projects in education for Yorubaland.


The aim of the project was to test the hypothesis that the best instructional medium for good concept formation at a very tender age is the mother tongue.

This was bolstered by the observation that “of all the continents and peoples of the world, it is only in Africa…

…that formal education is offered in a language that is foreign to the child.”

So, Yoruba was to be used & tested as an exclusive medium of passing information or instructions to a set of pupils.

The project was based on the premise that:

(a). the child will benefit culturally, socially, linguistically & cognitively.

(b). the child’s command of English will be improved if he is taught English as an entirely separate subject by a specialist teacher through the 6 years.

1/ I am seeing more and more founder secondary in venture rounds (Secondary = founders selling some of their shares before some other shareholders are able). Series B-D. I see both as an investor and through entrepreneur circles.

2/ I like secondary for entrepreneurs. Moderation is key but in a lot of situations I think it helps accelerate the co. Lots of very smart investors disagree. Here are my thoughts.

3/ Magnitude: My basic rule of thumb from what I see is market is 4+ yrs and up to 10% of founder’s equity stake with some $ cap that makes sense given stage etc. (typically <$10m)

4/ The entrepreneurial journey is brutally hard. Giving some financial relief helps remove one piece of pressure. I don’t think that secondary in the magnitude mentioned impacts the drive/persistence of great entrepreneurs.

5/ That secondary means they will be able to just sleep knowing they can pay their kids’ tuition. Secondary will make most founders better at their jobs, thus accelerating the co.
