Perhaps the most damning evidence that 1/6 was not only incited by Trump but EXACTLY what he wanted is the fact that he did absolutely nothing to stop it as it was happening, opting instead to watch it on TV with what those around him could only describe as “pure jubilation.”

When he finally issued a statement, it was criticizing his former VP Mike Pence for “not having the courage to do what he should have”—which of course in Trump’s mind was disregarding the electoral college vote and simply declaring Trump the victor (a power the VP DOES NOT HAVE).

He then followed this up with a video telling his army of cult terrorists “we love you. You’re very special. Now go home. And go home in peace.” (How many murderous terrorists are given the opportunity to simply ‘go home in peace’ after a deadly insurrection?)
