We seem to be moving to the Reichstag Fire Decree phase of the capitol riot aftermath. @ElonBachman

Google & Apple are free to do this, of course, and I can't say I have been too thrilled with Parler in my short experience with it.

What worries me is the attitude that seems to dominate the Left now that if only wrongthink and wrongspeak can be suppressed, paradise will emerge

We are seeing many actions justified as responses to recent violence (responses we did not see, by the way, in response to any other political violence in 2020) that could equally be construed as...

...battlespace preparation, the removal of potential sources of criticism for a new Democratic Presidency and Congress. I think many like me with free market & libertarian impulses are torn about how to react to the role of private companies in these actions.

How far into a corporate state do we need to fall before private actors aren't private any more? Where folks used to speak of a military-industrial complex, we now seem to have a administrative-communications complex.

Alright, y'all, who wants an essay about disability? This thread is vitally important to understanding canes, crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, & any other mobility aids. Ask yourself, would you feel shame about using an aid like glasses to do this task?

Would you shame me for using a wheelchair one day so I can use a single crutch the next day? Would you shame me for using a single crutch in 90% of circumstances & then using a wheelchair to navigate a convention or big event? Would you shame me for standing up from my chair? 2/

I have been shamed, verbally & to my face, for all of these things.

Mobility aids are TOOLS. There is no one right or wrong way to use a tool (just ways that might be less likely to cause injury—if you're new to crutches DM me & I can give you a tutorial).

Here's another vital thing to understand. Mobility aids, wheelchairs especially, are LIBERATING. I know to many they look like a symbol of all that you'd give up as an able-bodied person, & I have also struggled with big emotions abt my chairs in childhood & coming back

to my wheelchair when I was an adult. It's okay to grieve the things you lose when your body isn't able to do a thing.

But the wheelchair isn't what you think it is. The wheelchair is FREEDOM and MOVEMENT and ACCESS.

How many of us saw the double entendre in the QAnon slogan, ā€œThe Storm.ā€

We all probably assumed it had to do with proverbial precipitation. No, it literally meant the act of storming.

QAnon presents a threat to us, because it is severely misinforming our loved ones.

Some say it was a guy in Australia that created the original Q account (Paul Furber,
https://t.co/d94IPkxc92) cosplaying with others who made the same sort of accounts (like a bunch of nerds) on 4chan; and that he moved to an image board on 8chan, becoming even more popular.

3/22
But he got his password hacked twice. The first time it happened, they guessed his password (some derivative of ā€œMatlockā€). Because random people could post as Q, he changed it by adding an exclamation point.

4/22
The second time, though, the owners of 8chan stole Furber’s Q account for themselves. They’d also ā€œstolenā€ 2chan from a Japanese guy named, Hiroyuki Nishimura: https://t.co/I8AtBEPJee

(Due to talk of the person behind the Q account leaving 8chan and starting his own chan)

5/22
With that account would go all of Q’s followers, so they seized the account.

Their message board, their coding, their rules.

Furber couldn’t complain about it either, or it would reveal him as a fraud. He’d already gone on Infowars and talked about it like it was all real
