But that does not mean, those who are serious & competent should look & behave in a cheap manner.

People are watching. To be worthy of investing in, you must show degree of status.

It’s the world we live in.

Be relaxed and still. Nothing should faze you. Your reaction to good news, should be equal to bad news: neutral.

Learn to downplay an achievement, while remaining calm when encountering failure.

It shows resilience towards hard times, & self control during good times.

Control your emotions. Or at least mimic the emotions of the person you’re talking to. Emotions are the portal in which regrettable behaviours emerge.

You instantly lack reliability when you uncontrollably release your emotions.

Maintain respect. Don’t swear. Profanity instantly makes you look cheap. It makes you look weak & not in control.

“Can’t trust a man who doesn’t swear” is trash nonsense.

Truth is, you can’t rely on a man who fails to control his words at the right time & right place.

Abduction is that thought process where we renew our past, question our present, and reimagine our future.

It was C.S. Peirce, a century ago, that coined the use of this term to describe a thought process that would convey hypothesis making.

I want to talk a bit about what's been happening in CLPs over these past weeks - but this isn't a rant about "free speech" or "stalinism".

It's about the real, human cost of a small group of people pursuing a vendetta and using everyday people as emotional cannon fodder.

For some months, I've been Acting Secretary of my CLP, one of the biggest in the country. Predictably it hasn't been easy, but these past couple of weeks have been almost unbearable and its down to one man: David Evans.

I've spent more hours than I can count in my head, hours of my own free time & accumulated hours I was technically on the clock working from home, going back and forth with regional officers and CLP members, as motion after motion was ruled "not competent business" by Evans.

For those not au fait with this bizarre language of internal Labour politics, "not competent business" basically means "shouldn't be discussed or voted on". Its presented as 'advice' but it is in effect a ruling, a diktat, and if you defy it you risk suspension from the party.

This has already happened to Chairs and Secretaries elsewhere in the country, and as a member of Labour I'm obviously minded to follow the rules.

Some of the rulings made sense, like not discussing disciplinary cases - everyone's a member from door knockers to NEC members.

The more time you spend on women, the less you build & accomplish.

For the young man especially, women are an indulgence not a necessity, and if you're not prepared, their chaos will derail & devour you.

Be mindful, guard your time, and proceed with cautious optimism.

You will be told women make life better and easier by supporting you.

This is propaganda.

Truth: they will reduce your efficiency with their demands, mind games and erratic emotions.

Time and energy that would otherwise go into productive ends gets spent on managing your woman

If you are a man who has already reached a higher stage of maturity and personal development, this is a cost you can afford to bear.

If you haven't, not only will you let her down and damage her with ineffective leadership, but she too will hold you back from growing.

I don't say these things to encourage contempt of them, I tell you them because they are vitally important and society is in denial about it.

Women are not your equals. They are needy and looking for a father figure. They will take more than they give.

Can you afford this?

1. You can never be everyone's favourite. Some will love you for no reason. Some will rather not associate with you, and that is totally fine too.

2. There are topics and areas of life I know absolutely nothing about, but the more I read, the less ignorant I become.

3. The friendships that lasted a year, a week, or even an evening can be as transformational as the friendships that lasted years. A friendship made in less than a month can leave a year’s impact. In all, friends come and go, but they are incredibly important.

4. I am as lazy as I am hardworking. The thing is, my willingness to keep busy always helps me overcome procrastination, but I find that a bit of procrastination here and there is sometimes the catalyst to getting things done quicker.

5. Nothing changes when I worry. The only thing that changes is my mood. Not the situation. So I have learnt to think more about a positive outcome than allowing an issue affect my emotions and how I relate with others at that point in time.
