Story 16- it is about how Bhagwan Shiva explained the meaning of Vedas to the Rishis.

Once there was a great deluge,everything in the world was destroyed.All lifeforms that existed got perished.Afterwards ,due to Bhagwan Shiva creation started.Then from Bhagwan Shiv ji's mouth-birth of 🕉 OM- Pranavam happened.From Pranavam,4 vedas appeared. Rishis learned them.

Many Rishis in Naimisharanya learned Vedas&recited them but they didn't understand the meaning&essence of Vedas. They were worried as they couldn't find any guru who can teach them the meaning of Vedas.That time,Rishi Arabhatar visited them.Rishis told him about need their worry.

Rishi Arabhatar told them that Bhagwan Shiva has given Vedas &he would be grateful enough to teach the meaning as well.But for that rishis have to rigorous penance at a sacred place.Also told them to go to Sundareswarar temple in Madurai to do tapas in front of Dakshinamurthy.

Assured them that Dakshinamurthy himself will come & teach them.Rishis proceeded to Madurai & started their tapas in front of Dakshinamurthy sannidhi for almost a year starting from Karthigai month pournami to next year Karthigai month pournami following all rituals..annadan

Situated on the banks of the river Kaveri, Magudeswarar Temple is one among Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalam. Kshetram is famous Parihara Sthala for Naga Dosham and for performing Tarpanam to the departed souls.

There are 3 sannidhi here for Paramashiva, Mahavishnu and Brahma Deva.

Sthala Puranam says that once Adisesha and Vayu Deva placed Meru parvat at the centre to decide who is stronger among them. Parvatam was held tightly by Adisesha and Vayu blew the wind to push Parvatham.

In this struggle, peak of meru  parvatham broke into 7 pieces and fell in different places as precious gems. Diamond fell at  Kodumudi as Magudeswarar. Panchamirtham abhishekam is very famous here. Vanni tree situated here is very old which contains medicinal values.

It is believed that Agasthiya Muni did Prathishta of Shiva Lingam here. As Adisesha is one of the reason for creation of the temple, this is famous Parihara Sthalam for Naga Dosham. It is believed that those who

who take a bath in the river Kaveri and worship paramashiva and mahavishnu, will be cured of diseases and will get relief from all illness.

KANAKA DURGAMMA, VIJAYWADA (AP)

Ma Kanakadurgeswari is the supreme Goddess of Andhra Pradesh, seated atop the Indrakilaparvatha at Vijayawada.
This area is called Bezawada as Shiva made a bejjam (hole) in the rocks so that Krishna river could flow freely.

Once, a Rishi Indra Keela prayed to Devi and asked her to reside on his head forever. Devi told him to wait in the form of a mountain in the holy plains of River Krishna.
Later, when Devi killed all demons, she settled on Keeladri as Mahishasura Mardini and fulfilled his wish.

In this place, Arjuna performed penance and fought with Shiva, who had appeared in the guise of Kiratha to win Pasupathastra, the most powerful weapon. So this place is also called phalguna theertha and Vijaywada on account of Arjun’s victory.

Adi Sankaracharya visited this shrine and worshipped the Devi. He installed SRICHAKRAM at the feet of Sri Kanaka Durga.

Adjacent to the Kanakadurga shrine is the shrine of the divine consort-Sri Malleswara Swamy on the Indrakeeladri.

Veda vyas was a sage who is famous as the author of Mahabharat. But very few among us know that the meaning of vyas is “the spliter”, hence veda vyas is a title earned by him. His real name was Krishna Dvaipayana.

The Vedas are Śruti, which means "that which is heard.” In the Dwapara Yuga, these verses were compiled by Krishna Dwaipayana Veda Vyasa into a set of four books we call the Vedas. (Technically Vyasa only compiled the first three books - Rig, Yajur, and Sama, while

the Atharvana Veda is attributed to the sages Angiras and Atharvan.)

Actually, in the Dwapara Yuga, he compiled these verses from all those different sages into a coherent work, dividing them into a set of four books we call the Vedas.

But Vyasa wasn't the first one to compile and divide the Vedas, and he won't be the last. Vedavyasa is in fact a title, assigned to a different person in every Dwapara Yuga, as described by Vyasa's father Parashara in the Vishnu Purana, khand 3, chapter 3, verse 7 onwards:

Twenty-eight times the Vedas have been arranged by the great Rishis in the Vaivaswata Manwantara in the Dwápara age, and consequently eight and twenty Vyásas have passed away; by whom, in their respective periods, the Veda has been divided into four.

THE IMPORTANCE OF DEVI BEEJ / BIJA MANTRA.

Once Suutji in his discourse with King Janmajeya repeated the words of Vyasji regarding the pronounciation of the word ऐ. Vyasji had heard the importance of this word in a meeting of all important saints at Naimisharanya.

There this story was discussed.

In that gathering of such great sages, Rishi Jamdagni asked a question to all the eminent luminaries. He wanted to know which diety is the most revered and gets satisfied easily with our prayers. So Lomash rishi replied that Devi

Bhagwati was one such diety. She will be satisfied and is ready to grant you a boon even if you just say the first letter of her beej mantra. In this context he narrated the story of Satyavrat. The story is as follows.

There lived a Brahmin named Devdutt in Kosal.

He was childless. He arranged for an elaborate yagya for a intelligent son to be born. He invited all the eminent rishi's to conduct this Yagya. Rishi Suhotra, Pael, Brahaspati Yagyavalka were assigned different tasks. Rishi Gobhil was asked to sing the Saamved.

He sang the verses very well, but he had to take respite in order to breathe between two verses. This angered devdutt. He spoke his thoughts to Gobhil rishi.

The rishi got very angry as devdutt did not realise the practicalities of singing. He cursed devdutt that

& she knew that working in a bank won’t be of much help for that cause. So, this young girl joined a regimented honorable life in the Navy, & finally, a happy family was overjoyed to hear the news of her being commissioned on 5/7/2010 in the glorious INAS 310 Naval Air squadron.

She had the honor to join a glorious squadron like this that had once taken part in the Bangladesh Liberation war in 1971—launching air raids on Chittagong and Khulna ports right from the runway aboard the INS Vikrant—raining down fire on the Pakistanis stuck down at the port.

Popularly known as the Cobras—the INAS 310 Squadron was one of the oldest Indian Naval Air Squadrons raised on 21st March, 1961, with French Breguet Alize anti-submarine aircrafts being the first aircrafts to be inducted for the fight.

Pallikondeswarar Temple a famous Shiva temple located at Surutapalli Village of Andhra Pradesh. Temple is also known as Pradosha Kshetram as it is believed that Pradosha Kala pooja started here first. Paramashiva is

Pallikondeswarar here and Parvati Devi as Maragathambigai.

Paramashiva is seen as Shayana Kolam that is resting on Devi's lap after having Halahala visham during Samudra Mathanam. Pallikondeswarar means he who takes rest. Big Nandhi is seen infront of temple. Kanchi Periyavar

KANIPAKAM VINAYAKA, CHITOOR (AP)

Kani means wetland and Pakam means flow of water into wetland.
Kanipakam Vinayaka is swayambhu (self-manifested). The murti is in a well which is always full of water.

Once, there were three brothers. Each one had a handicap- Dumb, Deaf and Blind. They had a small piece of land for livelihood. For their field, they drew water from a well. One day, they found that the well had dried up so one of them started digging in the well.

His tool hit something and blood oozed out. They found a swayambhu murti of Ganesha here.
Villagers started offering coconut water which overflew into a channel. Hence the name Kanipakam.

The murti is still growing in size. At present, we see the knees and the abdomen only. The Kavacham (Armour) offered to Vinayaka 50 years ago doesn’t fit today.
Vinayaka is believed to be the upholder of truth. So people come here and swear before him to prove their innocence.

The spiritual meaning of Namaste is profound. Particularly in Hinduism, Gods are worshiped by closing the eyes and joining the palms in reverence, which indicates the recognition of their divinity.

'While paying obeisance to God, bring the palms together. After joining the hands

one should bow and bring the head forward. While tilting the head forward, one should place the thumbs at the mid-brow region, i.e. at the point between the eyebrows and try to concentrate on the feet of the Deity. After that, instead of bringing the folded hands down immediately

they should be placed on the mid-chest region for a minute in such way that the wrists touch the chest; then only should the hands be brought down.
The fingers should not be stiff while bringing the palms together because this will lead to a decrease in Sattva component from the

vital and mental sheaths and thus increase the raja component in them. By keeping the fingers relaxed, the subtlest Sattva component will get activated. With the strength of this energy, embodied souls are able to fight powerful distressing energies.
In the Namaskar posture, the

joined fingers act as an antenna to assimilate the Chaitanya (Divine consciousness) or the Energy transmitted by a Deity. While joining the palms, the fingers must touch each other because leaving space between the fingers will result in accumulation of energy in that space.

Saptashrungi Devi Mandir is situated near Nanduri village Nasik Maharashtra.The temple lies atop the cliff with an altitude of 1,230 m.
The temple is dedicated to Goddess Saptashrungi & is known as one of the 'three and half Shakti Peethas' of Maharashtra.

The temple is also one among the 51 Shakti Peethas  where one of Sati's limbs, her right arm is reported to have fallen. It is also believed that the presiding deity of the temple is Mahishasur Mardini, who was the slayer of the demon Mahishasur.

It is a two storied shrine & the idol is said to be swayambhu (self-manifested) which was carved on a rock on the sheer face of a mountain. She is surrounded by seven (sapta-in Sanskrit) peaks (shrunga-in Sanskrit)
hence the name- Saptashrungi Mata (mother of the seven peaks).

The image of Devi is huge-about 10 feet tall with 18 hands, holding various weapons. The idol is always coated with Sindoor. The Devi is decorated with high crown, a silver nose-ring and necklaces.

NAMAKKAL ANJANEYAR, TAMILNADU

Sri Anjaneya/Hanuman murti at Namakkal is 18ft tall and holds a japmala in hand and sword in waist.
Here, Anjaneya is closely associated with Narasimha and Ma Lakshmi.

Once, Anjaneya was bathing in Gandaki river of Nepal. He found a huge shaligram shaped like Sri Vishnu. He carried it with him. When he was passing over this place, he wished to bathe but shaligram cannot be placed on ground.
He, then, saw Mahalakshmi doing penance.

She wanted to see Prabhu as Narasimha, hence the penance. She agreed to hold the shaligram for some specified time. When Anjaneya could not come back within the given time, she placed it down. The shaligram became a huge mountain.
Vishnu appeared as Narasimha before Ma Lakshmi.

Anjaneya also stayed back. His Vigraha is carved out of a single rock.
The major festival here is the fifteen-day Panguni Uthiram celebrated during the Tamil month of Panguni (March – April) when the image of presiding deities are taken around the streets of the mandir.

Arulmigu Shri Ramaswamy Temple, #Kumbakonam

Ramaswamy Temple, in Kumbakonam is also called Southern Ayodhya, located on the banks of river Kaveri. Shri Rama and Mata Sita are seen in sitting position on a single peetha
Vigraham is made of saligrama Sila,

Lakshmana,  Bharata and Shatrugna standing nearby. Hanuman can be seen here in a sitting posture with one hand holding a Veena and Ramayana book on other hand. This is also the only temple where Bharata and Shatrughna can be seen along with Shri Rama, Sita Devi and Lakshmana.

Sthala Puranam says that vigraham in the temple were found in a temple tank in the near by village. Inner walls are decoratedwith Ramayana paintings. In each pillers beautiful sculptors can be seen which is made using single stone
It is believed that people who face obstacles in

their wedding, prays to get relieved from all doshas as Shri Rama and Mata Seetha appear in their Pattabhisheka Kolam. Sriramanavami is celebrated in a grand manner.

चाहे वो कोई भी क्षेत्र क्यूँ ना हो। और आज हम ग़रीबी से जूझ रहे हैं। पर भारत के अंदर भी एक राज्य के साथ ठीक ऐसा ही कुछ हुआ, जैसा कि 2014 तक भारत के साथ विश्व में होता था। वो राज्य है - बिहार । हाँ वही बिहार जो भारत में सबसे ज़्यादा IAS-IPS देता है , पर आज भी हम बिहारियो को बेकार

और बेवक़ूफ़ समझा जाता है । पढ़े लिखे लोगों कि हिसाब से बोले तो low standard. आइए एक बार आपको बिहार के इतिहास में ले चले ।

हज़ारों साल पहले की बात है जब हरी भरी भूमि से, जहाँ गंगा की पवित्र धारा बहती है, एक ख़ूबसूरत रानी ने जन्म लिया - सीता ।

क्योंकि जो मिथिला पेंटिंग की पुरानी चित्रकला मिलती है वो सीता राम की ही है । बिहार का इतिहास बताता है की बिहार में औरतों को बहुत अधिक इज़्ज़त दी जाती थी क्योंकि वो सीता जैसी ही स्वाभिमानी होती थी । और शायद यही कारण था की मौर्य समराज्य के पहले राजा चंद्रगुप्त मौर्य की 700 महिला

मेडिकल ज्योतिष में आज के समय में Dr. K. S. Charak का नाम निर्विवाद रूप से प्रथम स्थान रखता है। उनकी लिखी कई पुस्तकें आज इस क्षेत्र में नए ज्योतिषों का मार्गदर्शन कर रही हैं।
प्रथम भाव -
इस भाव से हम व्यक्ति की रोगप्रतिरोधक क्षमता, सिर, मष्तिस्क का विचार करते हैं।

द्वितीय भाव-
दाहिना नेत्र, मुख, वाणी, नाक, गर्दन व गले के ऊपरी भाग का विचार होता है।
तृतीय भाव-
अस्थि, गला,कान, हाथ, कंधे व छाती के आंतरिक अंगों का शुरुआती भाग इत्यादि।

चतुर्थ भाव- छाती व इसके आंतरिक अंग, जातक की मानसिक स्थिति/प्रकृति, स्तन आदि की गणना की जाती है

पंचम भाव-
जातक की बुद्धि व उसकी तीव्रता,पीठ, पसलियां,पेट, हृदय की स्थिति आंकलन में प्रयोग होता है।

षष्ठ भाव-
रोग भाव कहा जाता है। कुंडली मे इसके तत्कालिक भाव स्वामी, कालपुरुष कुंडली के स्वामी, दृष्टि संबंध, रोगेश की स्थिति, रोगेश के नक्षत्र औऱ रोगेश व भाव की डिग्री इत्यादि।

The science of Meteorology can be traced back to Vedic times where Maharshi Parashar declares:

"Vrishti mula krishi hi Sarva Vrishti mulascha jeevanam Tasmadadahu prayatnena Vrishtignyanam Samacharet"

In his opinion, as Rain (Vrishti ) is the root cause of life, one must study and acquire knowledge of its formation. The same was retold by Varahmihira in his Brihat Samhita.

Thus the word "Vrishti' appearing in many more Vedic Mantras (Chantings) always emphasized that water is an inseparable entity from human life. The word Water appear in Sanskrit literature in many forms - like Ambha, Udaka, Neera, Jala etc. clarifying about its origin.

Yajna is required for fulfillment of certain desire backed by willingness and ability to perform. Ancient scholars viewed all the resources around the living creaturés as natural (Prakriti) gifted by Devas / Devatas (Deities).

Britishers looted our precious knowledge acquired over thousands of years.
"The Third Mysore war took place between Tipu Sultan and Britishers. The Mysore soldiers captured a truck which was carrying food for the British army.A simple Marathi named Kosaji was the one who

drove this truck. Tipu Sultan ordered to cut off his nose. Kosaji with his nose cut was released after the end of the war.
A British doctor came forward to treat him. But Kosaji did not allow that doctor to treat him and said to take him to a traditional physician named Kumar.

The Britishers scolded him for choosing the local remedy instead of modern medicine.
He said, "Dr. Kumar will fix my cut nose again.” Everyone started laughing. But they agreed to his request and took him to Kumar. The local physician, Kumar, was doing a brick kiln business.

He peeled some skin from Kosaji's forehead and stitched it with the nose. The nose grew back. The skin from the forehead also grew back.
The British doctor, who saw this miracle, drew a painting of the miraculous incident and sent it to Britain. On seeing the message,Joseph

Constantine Carpue , an English doctor, came from London and met Dr. Kumar. He stayed for several years and returned back after learning this therapy.
He went to London and performed the world's first plastic surgery in 1816. It was then known as a Carpue operation.

Nachiyar Koil

Nachiar Koil or Thirunarayur Nambi Temple, situated in Kumbakonam district is one among 108 Divya Desam in Tamil Nadu. Mahavishnu is worshipped as Srinivasa Perumal and Lakshmi Devi as Nachiyar.
Sthala Puranam says that

Rishi Medhavi wished Lakshmi Devi should be born as his daughter and did tapasya. Thus Lakshmi Devi was born under the Vanjula tree and named as Vanjulavalli. Mahavishnu came here and expressed his desire to to marry Vanjuvalli. Rishi accepted bhagwan's wish with a one condition

that Devi should be given first priority here. Perumal agrees and thus this temple is famous in the name of Thayar as Nachiar Koil.

Kal Garuda is very important here. The story says that a sculptor who was making vigraham of Garuda found it flying

suddenly after he had made its wings. Shocked at this he threw a stone at Garuda which struck on Garuda's nose. Garuda came down and decided to stay here and bless all.
