Let's take a look at her claim if it's true or not.

Today is the day when in 1923, a braveheart took birth in the home of Dr. Amarnath Sharma, an officer in the Armed Medical Corps of the then British Indian Army. He was not extremely studious, but was brilliant at sports and other physical activities.

He followed into the footsteps of his illustrious family, and joined the British Indian Army as a 2nd Lieutenant, right into the middle of World War II. Later on, he would gain name by fighting against all odds at Badgam in November 1947, getting martyred when he was only 24.

This was Major Somnath Sharma, the first recipient of India's highest gallantry award, the Param Vir Chakra. But did you know that the medal was designed by his own brother's mother in law? -

Yes, call it a twist of irony, or sheer coincidence, but the Param Vir Chakra was actually designed by the mother in law of Major Somnath Sharma's brother, whose name was Savitri Bai Khanolkar. Even more interesting is the fact she was not a Bharatiya by birth either -

Raised in Germany, this force never found its place in the hall of fame like the Indian National Army (INA). The Indian legion became tainted due to its association with the German army. Soon the legion was cornered by allies and French resistance.(1)

The survivors who made it to India never received the recognition which troopers of INA did. When netaji arrived in Berlin on April 3, 1941, the Germans wanted to weaken the British and welcomed him given his status as a pan India leader.(2)

The Germans recognised a provisional "independent India govt" in exile under netaji. They also promised him an army to help liberate India. The British Indian army prisoners of war captured from Rommels north Africa campaign were the nucleus of the this army.(3)

The legion would have acted as a pathfinder force for the planned German campaign into India. This seemed feasible as Rommel’s Afrika Korps was sweeping across north Africa with west Asia as the next target.(4)

One religion focuses on living a good, decent life, doing one’s dharma while being cognizant of impact of one’s actions over many births.

Other focuses only on after life, advocates even hurting others in its name.

Under which system can they coexist - serious answers pls

I’m not looking for partition should have been thorough type answers. That doesn’t help

Even other countries face this challenge but there, it is between liberal society founded on Abrahamic principles and this religion.

India is unique because of the nature of Sanatana Dharma

What sort of a person would even kill another just to get to heaven.

1. values his own existence so poorly that life has no meaning for him

2. Or brainwashed to believe that some lives aren't even lives so they can be taken

3. or rewards of some mythical heaven worth killing

In any society the ones with no hope for their life are most dangerous.

So I can understand why Modi Ji is working to bring them into mainstream and give them hope in life away from those who have kept them in ghettos.

That takes care of the 1st group.

What abt the other 2?

Even if the 1st group reforms we have some hope.

But the second and third - those that don’t value non-believers’ life is worth it or those that think promise of heaven is more important. How does one handle them.

Hoping for internal reformation hasn’t worked out.
