Story 9- it about how Shiva as Sundara Pandyan confluenced seven oceans in a pond/well in Madurai to fulfill wish of Kanchanamala

Bhagwan Shiva himself ruled Pandya Kingdom as Sundara Pandyan.Kingdom flourished well,all people there were happy.Many scholers,rishis visited Pandya kingdom to see Sundareswarar.Once Gouthama Rishi visited Madurai.After worshipping Sundareswarar,he went to meet Kanchanamala.
Kanchanamala,mother of Meenakshi devi welcomed Rishi Gouthama with all devotion&they were discussing about various things.She asked about ways& means to get rid of cycle of birth& re-birth.Gouthama rishi told her to be very fortunate&had done great penance in her previous births.
As a result, she has got Meenakshi devi as her daughter & Sundareswarar as her son-in-law in this birth.Rishi then told there are 3 types of Penance -namely Maanatham,Vaasikam & Kaayikam
Maanatham -involves doing charity,speaking truth,controlling senses&meditating Shiva namam.
Vaasikam -chanting Panchakshara matra-Om Na Ma Shi Va Ya,mantras from vedas, singing devotional songs/bhajans.

Kaayikam- doing daily pooja,going to temples,punya shetrams, helping physically in renovation &construction of temples,taking snan in ocean as all rivers merge there.
After hearing these from Gouthama rishi,Kanchanamala wanted to take bath/snan in the ocean.She told about her wish to meenakshi devi.Meenakshi devi requested Sundareswarar to fulfill her mother's wish.Then he said why only 1 ocean,he will call upon all 7 oceans here in Madurai.
As requested by Bhagwan Shiva(Sundara pandya) water from all 7 oceans confluenced in a pond in Madurai to fulfill kachanamala's wish.

There is a street in Madurai near Meenakshi Amman temple near Pudumandapam named as - Ezhu Kadal Street.
There was a small temple tank that said to have contained water from 7oceans was there,so was named Ezhu Kadal street

In 1980s,temple tank began to dry,then State government & temple administration constructed a large shopping complex on it,wiping away historical significance.
Now just the name remains- Ezhu Kadal Street .Have heard that this historic spot was venue for 2 of the 64Tiruvilayadals.

The place where Meenakshi appeared as Thadathagai during yagnam performed by Malathuvaja Pandian& Kanchanamala.Dikvijayam journey of Meenakshi started here.
The entrance to the incomplete Roya Gopura in the Ezhu Kadal Street has become a mini bazaars with hawkers selling their products at the entrance,blocking the view of temple.Roya Gopura has been rendered into a neglected piece of history due to sheer negligence of authorities.
Next Thiruvilayadal is about reincarnation of Malayathuvaja Pandyan.Will post nxt week.

After Vikrama Pandyan, his son Rajasekara Pandyan ruled Madurai Kingdom.Rajsekaran mastered various art forms.Out of 64 art form,except for Natyam- he mastered 63 art forms.

He was very devoted towards Chokkanathar & Velliyambalam Nataraja who is Supreme master of Dance/Bharatam

He didn't attempt to learn Bharatam. He considered it will be a disrespect to practice due to his bhakti towards Nataraja/Bhagwan shiva.

During that time,Chola kingdom was ruled by Karikala Cholan.He was a great king&he patronized all art forms.He has learnt all 64 art forms.

Once a poet from Chola kingdom visited the court of Rajasekara Pandyan.After paying tributes,the poet said that his Raja was master of 64 arts,but pandyan knew only 63.Pandyan felt insulted,but realised that it might be God's will to make him learn Natyam.

Due to the wrath of Indra Dev there was no rain in the kingdoms.There was a severe drought & people suffered a lot. Not only Pandya kingdom,but also Chera,Chola kingdoms were also facing famine.All 3 Rajas - Chera,Chola & Pandya raja decided to seek the advice of Agasthiya Rishi.

They travelled to pothigai malai to meet him.They explained the present situation on their kingdoms due to failure of monsoon.Agathisya Rishi analyzed &told them that due to planetary positions there will be no rains for another 12

They asked Agasthiya Rishi on how they can go to Indralok. Agasthiya Rishi advised them to take up -Somavara Vratham to get blessings of Bhagwan Shiva that will help them reach Indralok.Rishi shared on how one should perform this vrat.3 Rajas thanked Agasthiya Rishi for guidance.

They went back to their kingdoms & observed several Somavara Vrata.Later it reaped with benefits, they were able to travel to indralok.Knowing their intentions, Indra arranged 3 seats at a lower level than his throne in the court.He showed then seats & asked them to be seated.

Starting with a masked autoencoder over frames from these video clips, make a choice:

1) Condition on language and improve our ability to reconstruct the scene.

2) Generate language given the visual representation and improve our ability to describe what's happening. (4/12)

By trading off *conditioning* and *generation* we show that we can learn 1) better representations than prior methods, and 2) explicitly shape the balance of low and high-level features captured.
