If you are compromising too much, there is a chance that you are getting manipulated.

Why are you the one that's always compromising?

How come the other person always gets their way?

Be more curious.

If something seems off, stick up for yourself.

'Wait, you sure I am being manipulated?'

I have no clue, that is only something that you can decide for yourself.

'Dang is there anything I need to look out for?'

Plenty..

But let me give you a few things to look out for.

I see manipulation as skillfully controlling someone's behavior for egotistical or unethical purposes.

'How come people don't leave when it's happening to them?'

Because most people have 0 clue that they are being manipulated.

1. Guilt Trip

You ever made a mistake around someone, only for them to hold it over your head?

The will always bring up the mistake when you 2 are not seeing eye to eye.

These people will use that mistake as leverage to get what they want from you in the future.

Look out.

2. The Rationalizer

This person will commit the worst acts & find a way to rationalize it.

Example: cheaters when they get caught.

They have every excuse in the book for why they did it.

Heck, they are so good at rationalizing, they will make it seem like your fault.

Make them irrelevant > Hold a grudge

Holding a grudge is the easy thing to do.

But holding a grudge is not the right thing to do.

A grudge puts poison in your body & rewires your subconscious mind.

You consume the poison & destroy your reality while your attacker sleeps like a baby.

Your Most PRECIOUS Currencies:

-Energy

-Time

-Attention

-Trust

-Love

-Loyalty

-Respect

Only give these currencies to high value people. Never spend these currencies on low value shitheads eg: trolls, weasels, snakes, naysayers etc.

'Wait, I thought money was the most important currency?'

Nah.

Once you adopt abundance mentality, you realize their is no shortage of money.

Making the dollars your most important currency will have you leading an empty life.

Time to flip your perspective.

When you strip yourself to the core, you are an emotional creature.

Emotions are your internal worlds energy.

Harnessing that energy is crucial for leveraging yourself to obtain whatever you want.

You have a finite amount everyday, so spend it wisely.

▪Time

A second that is lost will never be returned.

You start valuing the hell out of this currency the more you mature.

As the years start adding up, you realize time is precious.

You must always have a scarcity mindset towards time.

Once you do so, you will not be lazy.

▪Attention

You can be here, but not present.

Attention is completely mental.

Giving someone your attention means you are clearing up mental bandwidth to make room for them.

Only give your attention to people who help you grow.

For the negative ones?

Ignore their existence

A relationship begins to get stiff when excessive patterns begin to form.

Too many patterns leads to a boring, predictable, logical lifestyle.

Get the emotions involved.

Do something spontaneous out of the blue moon & flip the script.

'What's wrong with the patterns?'

Nothing is wrong with patterns.

However, there is a problem when all you have are patterns.

It's boring.

'Can you explain why?'

The thing with relationships is that it's meant to be an emotional experience.

It's very difficult to logically explain love, right?

'Right.'

Well this is where you want to steer the ship the right way.

1. Too emotional is bad.

2. Too logical is bad.

Let me break it down.

1. Too emotional

If a relationship is completely ruled by emotions, then it's too volatile.

You will never reach productivity if you are aimlessly only following each others emotions.

This lifestyle tarnishes any structure for the couple.

'So why do people do it?'

Because it's fun.

You may ruled by this stage in the honeymoon phase.

Normal.

You'll be so spontaneous that it almost becomes a lifestyle.

But it's hard to level up your life when you're too spontaneous.

Avoid.

Shy people are either overthinking or highly observant of the social setting.

And in many cases it can be both.

'So what do I do?'

You learn the 75/25 law.

'What is that?'

Let's address the over thinkers first.

Do you have any idea why you overthink?

'Yea. Because others are judging how shy I am.'

Incorrect.

Others are thinking about themselves, not you.

But the fact that you think they are thinking about you, you fuck up the interaction.

Now you stay in your head too much & avoid the present moment.

A major no no in the social world.

Your tendency to think that others are judging you for being shy, coincidentally makes you more shy.

And that's when you start giving off a strange vibration to the social setting.

This is when you begin attracting comments like 'why are you so quiet?'

Social Intelligence 101:

If your friend is telling you about an accomplishment, do not try to one-up them by sharing an accomplishment of your own.

Tame your ego.

Sit back and actively listen.

Too much intellect without a sense of self can inflate your ego.

This is why a lot of high IQ people lack social intelligence.

They talk to humans like robots & are baffled when they are resented for it.

This is why the charismatic person who knows less often rises up quicker

'What you smoking bro?? My IQ will be the biggest factor of my success!'

Incorrect.

That's a limiting belief.

I'm gonna shake up your paradigm real quick 👇

You have been conditioned your entire life to believe that IQ score alone will dictate success.

And like most people, we were like 'yea, sure!'

But there's few incorrect thought patterns here

1. Success is subjective.

2. IQ exam insinuates intellect is fixed.

3. Your high IQ won't make others give a fuck, your communication will.

Let's go thru each one

1. Success is subjective

What I consider success may not be success for you.

Success it's a mirror image of where you are & where you want to be.

Aka sense of self.

So measuring success starts from looking within, not an exam.

Procrastination Hack:

When you procrastinate, you are focusing too much on the big tasks.

Stop.

Flip it.

Focus on the small tasks & build up.

Ex: instead of focusing on getting the entire blog done, do 1 paragraph.

You will strangely want to complete another paragraph...

Bonus Hack: Song

Have one song that gets you hyped up.

Promise yourself after playing the song 2-3 times, you will immediately begin.

No questions asked.

Begin.

The song amps up your emotions & you approach the task with energy.

Bonus Hack: Game

Turn mundane tasks into a game.

Use your creativity.

If you’re a gamer, break tasks into levels & kill each boss.

If you like music, reward yourself with a song after each completion.

Challenge: Aim to do some pushups or pullups after each crossed off goal.

Respecting everyone is overrated.

Don't reward snakes, haters, cloutchasers with respect.

Punish them with distance.

Respect is reserved for respectable people.

So why are you spending your time on shitty people?

You can be spending that time & energy on respectable people instead.

A snake or hater who are rewarded with respect will think their behavior is acceptable.

Fuck that.

Treat them like the bottom feeding shit heads that they are.

With distance.

'Why not attack back?'

Because distance bothers them more.

Crowd Control 101:

Ditch the 'does the crowd like me?' mentality.

Adopt the 'do I like the crowd?' mentality.

This mindset shift makes you feel more in control & powerful.

Here are a few more bonus tips for crowd control.

These tips will have you showing the audience that you control the room.

Every audience likes it when the speaker takes charge.

Use these moves in your next speech & dominate the big stage like a superstar!

1. Wait a few seconds before starting

Starting immediately makes you look needy.

The few second wait will builds hype & keeps the control in your favor.

'How long do you typically take?'

I take around 5-7 seconds to build the hype.

Find your sweet spot.

2. Take pauses

Many beginning speakers are terrified of pauses.

They think they will be exposed as a fraud whenever there is silence.

WRONG.

Pauses sound longer to you than it does for the audience.

An audience loves a speaker who pauses rather than a turbo talker.

3. Body Language

Your body is crucial to delivery.

Luckily you always have control over it.

As you begin, your body may become smaller, you will cover your torso more, and will look down.

AVOID.

Chest out, chin up, open palms, strong eye contact & walk with purpose soldier.

'What if I choke during my 1st speech?'

Then you choke.

Some of the best speakers from my time during Toastmasters choked their 1st speech.

When you mess up, you realize the world doesn't end.

After making this realization, you feel a sense of relief for your next speech.

This is not a green light to not practice beforehand

But if you gave it your best effort to prepare & the nerves got the best of you, do not beat yourself up.

I guarantee that choking is not a big deal like you think it is.

'How do you know?'

Bc I am speaking from experience.

'So what was it like?'

Well, this was my 1st ever Toastmasters meeting.

I went to just sit on my ass & observe.

Tbh, I went because I was hungry & thought they were going to have toast.

But nah.

There were atleast 75 people there.

Many people that I knew from my school

After seeing all those familiar faces, I sat all the way in the back.

I was praying that I did not get called on stage.

I had massive speech anxiety then.

*the meeting began*

The table topics started (random people get called up & give an impromptu speech about a topic)

Not kidding.

I was the first person called.

The toastmaster from the event thought he was being slick by calling the people in the back.

I was straight up mortified.

Walking to the front of the stage felt like the longest walk of my life.

Felt like a nightmare tbh.
