1/ Another observation the #Literalist fallacy I see about how much Trump (ym'sh) has planned all of the chaos & violence. My overarching point will be that society is structured & that means there's an inherent pattern to effects no matter the 'intelligence' behind the causes

2/ It struck me to link to another conundrum (kinda like the large plague frog in the room): how Pharaoh has his free will removed
So, the nameless action could be a purposeful contrast to the singular powerful individual who normally is history's
3/ IMO God manipulates Pharaoh in order to prevent one person making too much of a difference!
This ties into another larger point I often make about the culpability of the Egyptians & how actually they, not Pharaoh, are the focus of the plagues.
4/ My point contrasts how the Egyptians - who were responsible for being enslavers, for dehumanizing & stealing the labor of Israelites up to the point of joining in the Pharaoh command of infanticide (see
5/ These individuals needed to make their choices without coercion from the autocrat, hence Pharaoh lost 'free will' in his capacity as someone who can move the engines of political power.
He lost free will in order to preserve the free will & action of his subjects
1/ Yesterday's indictment of Douglass Mackey was deeply satisfying in that a co conspirator that was identified in the indictment ; Microchip. This Alt Right troll targeted me, & many others in 2017

2/ Microchip specifically targeted my account & others for mass reporting efforts by his followers (he offered $5000 per acct suspended by Twitter) and encouraged harassment & threats towards those accounts. Threats of violence were directed at me (it didn't intimidate me)

3/ Additionally in the Mackey indictment, Baked Alaska aka Tim Gionet, was also named . Gionet was recently arrested for his role in the assault on the Capitol building. Now, this indictment of Mackey would seem to be just the beginning, because these guys connect to everyone

4/ For starters Baked Alaska & Microchip connect to this guy, Charles "Chuck" Johnson. He's the redheaded guy , standing on the steps of the Ecuadorian Embassy in London with Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R) , about to meet Julian Assange. We'll get back to JAss later.........,

5/ Baked Alaska & Chuck C Johnson have also been linked to Roger Stone . Hey, there's Roger Stone at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London too. Presumably Roge got lost in London to end up at Assange's bolt hole...........,

Fascism is ideological in ways Trump isn't - Trump is still a danger in terms of democratic backsliding
Let's say all agree Trumpism is fascism. What flows from that?

I advocate precision in categorizing terrorism because it informs strategy. Responding to not-terrorism with counterterrorism can fail or backfire.
What changes if people call Trump "fascist" instead of, say, "bad"? https://t.co/yv9byQWKnR
An important difference between 20th century fascism and 21st century right-wing authoritarian populism is that fascism was explicitly deadset on exposing democracy as bad - people like OrbĆ n or Erdogan or Trump are fine with the superficial trappings of democracy.
Mussolini shut down true accusations of voter intimidation through the intimidation of his critics, which led to the assassination of Giacomo Matteotti, who had exposed the fascist intimidation at the polls. Trump spread and encouraged conspiracy theories about voter fraud.
Why does this matter? Because right-wing populist supporters make arguments that THEY are the ones defending not just the abstract "will of the people" (that's common in fascism too) but the procedures of democracy itself. They accuse their rivals of authoritarianism.
People like Mussolini or Hitler made no secret that they thought of democracy as decadent and corrupt, not just morally, but politically, as a system. Trump or Erdogan or OrbĆ n (or to a lesser extent Putin) claim that it's LIBERALISM which is decadent and corrupt.
When people see budgetary line item boondoggles, they’re momentarily outraged—but they should think through how the money will be dispersed, and by whom. There’s a massive industry for spending USG money out there, and people should know about it. https://t.co/1MBeTuaMDP

As @davereaboi pointed out, the ecosystem that feeds on the endless torrent of deficit-fueled D.C. spending is vast beyond belief, and it has tentacles that reach around the world. That ecosystem has multiple layers, and every one of them will fight to keep Big Gov money flowing.
There are entities wholly dedicated to spend money spent by entities that spend money spent by entities that spend money spent by entities that spend money from D.C. Many are invisible to taxpayers. Some are foreign operations utterly beyond the reach of American voters.
And even when an outsider comes along and dislodges a few swamp creatures, we find another massive ecosystem dedicated to breeding and replacing them. Most people in the heartland have no idea how vast is the machinery that produces manpower for the permanent bureaucracy.
Pluck out one parasite, and a swarm of fresh parasites is ready to flow in and replace it. Educational institutions and bureaucratic recruitment systems are working around the clock to embed the ideology of statism in legions of aspiring government employees and NGO staffers.
