For historical purposes remember, I was able to get rid of the INDIVIDUAL MANDATE, the most unpopular and expensive part of ObamaCare. You are no longer forced to pay a fortune for the “privilege” of NOT getting bad healthcare. This ended ObamaCare as we knew it. Thank you!

Iran is also more powerful in the region, not less.
Utter failure, foreseen by many whose warnings were ignored.
Iran says it plans to enrich uranium up to 20% at its underground Fordo nuclear facility “as soon as possible.” When it made the same decision a decade ago, it raised tensions that were only abated with the now-tattered 2015 atomic deal. https://t.co/qhJb6Cbdxo

With the Trump administration on the way out, here's a look back at what I wrote about their Iran strategy. When I say the failure of that strategy was easy to foresee, I mean I called it from the beginning (as did others).

On a scale of 1-10 sky palaces, how bad is the latest UCP scandal? #ableg #abpoli
— Stacey (@Blurg5) January 2, 2021
It used to be a gotcha question to ask politicians how much they spent on milk. The point of the question was to finger those politicians who didnāt do their own shopping or otherwise were rich enough to not have to worry about how much it cost to feed their families.
2/
Today, people rail against the āLaurentian Elitesā who are out of touch with people. The complaint is that these politicians arenāt affected by their policies the same way āseverely normalā people are, and hence come up with ideas that are bad for the non-elite.
3/
The sky palace wasnāt necessarily a bad idea ā the premier does need accommodations in Edmonton ā but it created the image of an entitled premier, freed from the ordinary day-to-day struggles by virtue of the tax dollars from hardworking Albertans. The rhetoric writes itself.
4/
Bill Morneauās ultimate sin was to not notice that he hadnāt paid for tens of thousands of dollars in travel expenses. That he could just write a cheque to fix that problem didnāt help. It showed he lived in a world completely different than ours.

Not once in 4 years of Gallupās 3-day tracking of Trumpās approval rating was it ever higher than 49%.
He was the least popular incumbent since Carter to run for re-election. Itās not shocking that he got his ass kicked in the election. https://t.co/7BSCQR2vI2
But if you do nothing other than consume conservative media, youād be under the false impression that heās popular, that his ideas are popular, and that the people who oppose him are a small group of haters.
In Gallupās last update before the election, Trump had a -6 net approval rating. The last time it was a net positive was in May when it was +1.
And hereās how you get numbers like that: you do absolutely nothing to try to win over people who arenāt already part of your base. Look at those numbers among independents.
