For those wondering about the SCIFs, used for classified files and conversations, their doors were built to withstand embassy sieges, and they’re swept for bugs before every use.

We haven’t seen any indication that they were even targeted, much less seriously attacked.

Could one of the terrorists have seen a sensitive but unclassified email somewhere? Yes.

Could there have been Russian spies in the terrorist mob? Yes.

A lot of brands will be making statements today about what happened at our nation's capital yesterday. Most will run the range from "insincere" to "oblivious."

We debated if we should. But as a mental health platform, we feel we have a responsibility to say a few things.

1. White supremacy is not a mental illness.

The attempted coup that happened yesterday was not the product of mental illness.

We cannot deflect the responsibility of those involved by labelling them "unhinged," "crazy," or "sick."

As a platform that is dedicated to unpacking ableism when we see it, we feel a strong responsibility to name this quite clearly: a legacy of racism, woven through and through in this country, is not the product of mental illness.

It may be unfathomable to those of us who have had the privilege of not seeing it. It may be shocking to those of us who had more faith in our democracy than this.

That does not mean we should label what we do not understand an "illness." It means we should educate ourselves.

2. Yes, what we collectively experienced is trauma. If you find yourself struggling to "go back to normal," that is understandable.

It is our hope that you will extend grace to yourself, and to those around you who are having a hard time today.

For those who haven’t heard, we are witnessing a globally coordinated plan (conspiracy) to use fear and safety as cover for a #GreatReset of the world economy & society. This is a planned and internationally coordinated strategy by the most powerful global elites-the ruling class

Years ago, while on a family snowboarding trip, my mom came down with a cold. By the time the trip was over, it had gotten worse. Hours after we flew home from the trip, my mom was admitted into the hospital. In less than 24 hours, she would be in ICU on life support.

A sickness had taken over her body and started shutting down her organs. Weeks went by with my mom's life hanging by a thread. It was such a delicate balance between medications to keep her alive and fight the illness. The doctors and nurses did an amazing job. True heroes.

Eventually, the doctors came to the conclusion that they'd tried everything they knew, but my family wasn't ready to give up the fight. We stood strong and pushed forward, holding out hope for a miracle.

So the doctors kept fighting to save her. Many days had passed with my mom under sedation and other heavy medications. At this point, the cure was almost as deadly as the illness. They took her off the sedation, but my mom never woke up. She was in a coma.

For so long social media companies have been disguising themselves as a method of free speech to hide their true corporate nature. This is why they have avoided censoring @realDonaldTrump and others.

Social Media companies want us to see twitter/Facebook/Reddit/Instagram like a public-use bulletin board when they are really more analogous to the Target intercom system. This keeps the users from realizing they are generating content for corporations for free.

But, most importantly, when social media corporations disguise themselves as public-use bulletin boards they confuse the public into thinking first amendment protections should apply to user-generated content AND THEREFORE we should not regulate social media as a whole.

Plainly, twitter (et al) wants to be seen more like your right to self-publish a manifesto and less like a corporation for whom we work for zero wages while they steal our data. They are hiding behind the Bill of Rights which, simply, does not apply to them whatsoever.

As a result, users like @realDonaldTrump are allowed free range to “say whatever they want” in “the name of free speech.” That right is not guaranteed by the BOR, but rather, it is promised by the terms and conditions of this corporate entity.
