Let me build on it a little...
Prior to when Carlos Zappa renamed Ahaba to "Asaba", ndแป Oshimแปrแป were quite an intertwined people who knew their kin.
A short note on ethnicity.

A lot of these labels are mere identity. Useful labels though.
Identity is important
Many don’t know their own parents were not even born Nigerians.
Most were a strange, now defunct nationality called British West African.
As such, you could not "kpa alo" in Ahaba without a priest from Nri present.
This kinship is seen in the names. Onicha Mแปrแป, Onicha แปคgbo, Onicha Olona, as examples, the first being the great market town, the last two being on the west side of the great river, Ori mแปrแป...
Then Carlos Zappa came, and renamed Ahaba to Asaba, while TE Dennis renamed Onicha to Onitsha.
A hypothetical child, let's call him Chukwudebe Isichei, born exactly 120 years ago today in Asaba, knew himself as being Onye Oshimili, as did his cousin across the great river.
The year Isichei was born, a strange company, the Royal Niger Company, without his elders' consent or even knowledge, passed over "ownership" of his village to the British Crown, and the cartographers went to work.
Isichei became a "Southern Nigerian" from Onitsha Division.
Then on Isichei's 14th birthday, his Southern #Nigeria was "amalgamated" with a strange land called Northern Nigeria, and he was told that himself and those people whom he had not much in common with, except perhaps the colour of their skin, were now from the same country.
PART B:
In part A, we addressed questions 1-4. We will be continuing the thread by finalising Q4 before going on with Q5 and Q6.

PART A
This VERY long thread will break down the process of writing an SOP using six questions that have worked for me in the several admissions and scholarships I have secured.
Get a drink and let us begin. pic.twitter.com/K3wJVXNVtp
Mentioning your limitation is a strength-based approach in SOPS. An example of how you can do this:

It is important to be clear about the skills you want to learn from undertaking your choice course.
Visit the course page on the university website and look at the modules offered under your prospective course and highlight the significance of those courses to your career path
Is there any linkage with a course you have done academically or professionally?
Another point to consider here is the quality of academics within your proposed department.
Look up the achievements of the academics.
Yes, I cried.
Prolly cos Iโm someone who takes friendship too seriously and always put in my best when it comes to the few people in my cycle.
Iโm the type to always ask questions, get closure before I move on.
So, I sent her messages asking what happened and she called https://t.co/rhpYAVXCnP

This human got married yesterday and didn’t bother telling me.
I’ve been my own best friend for 11years and I didn’t even know it.
God, please let me just cross over to 2021 \U0001f494
Then she reminded me of what happened in Oct.
I lost my grandma - who also happens to be the mother figure I had - during the lockdown and her burial was scheduled to hold Oct 15th
I kept making plans for burial.
Telling my friend about plans and all that.
Then she told me she is pregnant and feeling really sick so she might not be able to travel down for the burial.
I donโt know how sick pregnancy makes people so I saw reasons with her.
But that period, I was so emotionally down.
I even stayed off all social media and was barely
Replying WhatsApp messages.
My family even asked after her and I told them a lie.
I had other friends around for the burial so I had tons of help.
We still chatted some days before the burial and I was asking what she plans to do about the pregnancy.
Assuring her that
whatever she decides to do that I got her back.
I was totally down before and after the burial.
Really needed to heal cos my Grandma and I were really close.
She was my person.
I didnโt know my friend was mad at me that I wasnโt checking up on her to know how she was fairing.

Because this is totally the compassionate way to address someone contempalting suicide on Christmas.
Literally like 2 tweets before her calling me a creep. https://t.co/3avVm003Lw

Next, let's go to the EU era & Grace Campbell who went to court in Strasbourg in the 70s to have corporal punishment banned in UK schools. She won and Westminster had to legislate. What. A. Mama. https://t.co/qQMAcPhtZz /2
Elizabeth Wiskemann gathered intelligence undercover in Switzerland during WWII. When the Allies refused to bomb Auschwitz she sent a coded msg she knew wd be intercepted & halted Hungarian Jewish deportations. Later she was Professor of International Relations at Edinburgh /3
Many courageous Scottish women got involved in the Spanish Civil War 1936 - 39. Scotland has a long tradition of banging anti-Fascist heroines. Rabbit hole alert: I wrote a thread about Spain here already ๐ Fill. Your. Boots.
Cos I'm in Spain - a thread of Scottish foremothers who fought fascism during the Civil War 1936-9. Cos fighting facism is important. This is Annie Murray Knight - a nurse. Her stories of Italian planes dropping sweet tins with bombs inside, which blew up kids, are harrowing. /1 pic.twitter.com/NCPcxDo0S8

We also have a long tradition of artists whose work takes them all over Europe. Notorious suffragette Ethel Moorhead trained under Czech legend Alfons Mucha. She was the 1st Scottish suffragette to be forcibly fed too. I love this mural of her - what a legend. /5
