Ben Graham's "The Intelligent Investor" is a horrible book if you're using it purely for the quant formulas in today's Markets, but probably THE BEST BOOK if you're interested in learning about the core investing concepts, and eternal truths about the Markets & its participants.

My Monthly Learning Calendar for Investing.🗓️

If I had 1 hour per day (for non-Company related research), this is what I would do.

Going thru specific topics on specific days should help streamline the reading/learning process w/o causing too much information overload.

Investing in individual stocks is more than just company specific research.

It's about having a broader perspective on many topics including Investing principles/philosophy/history, Industry trends/landscapes, and thoughts/deep dives from other reliable sources.

"Volatility refers to how dramatically the price of an investment may change. On the other hand, risk refers to the probability that an investment will underperform the market or result in a permanent loss of capital."

Your view of the world and markets can change significantly when you close out your derivative positions and trading/leveraged trades v/s only hold a delivery-based portfolio.

The reason is psychological. The quick gains and losses that leveraged trades bring make you react with the same emotions you do in a regular portfolio at a faster rate. So what a 30% drawdown would make you think on a delivery portfolio ends up happening in days.

Suddenly you will find it easier to believe that negative conspiracy theory-based video or blog post than you would have otherwise.

It is therefore always a good idea to have an investment portfolio outside your trading positions to help you keep perspective of the big picture and ask the right questions.

The trading then is a subset of the big picture. Bull market cycles often go on for years and go through many bouts of hope and fear themselves. But stocks hold out better making higher highs and lows as long as the trend is intact.

1/9 I have noticed a counterintuitive benefit from sharing my portfolio publicly. This isn't call for you to share your portfolio publicly; I'm aware it is not feasible/rational for many out there.

I'm just explaining how I think it helps *me*.

2/9 Before talking about the benefit, let me briefly mention the potential negative.

Well, the negative is probably obvious. Sharing my portfolio publicly may create a commitment bias. It's hard to change your mind once you propagate all the bullish pov on stocks you own.

3/9 There is truth to that, especially since I say I intend to be long-term investor.

It would create a cognitive dissonance if I get in and out of stocks every few months and yet claim myself long-term oriented simultaneously. So I kinda have to remain invested unless...

4/9 ...I think I've compelling reasons to sell.

While that sounds like a lot of negatives, I'm increasingly thinking the opposite.

If in 30 years I discover my return severely lagging the index, I already know who the culprit is. It isn't Fed, Xi, or any US President. It's me.

5/9 Essentially, I need to save my portfolio from my own worst tendencies.

Not having the option to flipping stocks every other month is likely to work in favor of my eventual goal of long-term ownership of great businesses.

An irony of facebook's situation.

Sheryl got her MBA at Harvard. One of the most famous cases (Extra Strength Tylenol) in one of the most famous classes (Business History) she took: in 1982, someone put cyanide in Extra Strength Tylenol capsules and killed 7 people in Chicago.

What do you do when someone turns your product into a weapon? When they use the system you built to harm? James Burke, CEO of J&J, was shockingly open with the public, he pulled the product and made significant packaging changes to make product safer (but not tamper-proof).

He over-shared every step along the way re investigation, redesign, stood up as both CEO and human. The reintroduction of new Extra Strength Tylenol succeeded. Burke saved the brand.

But four years later it happened again. A killer put cyanide in the capsules, this time a woman in Yonkers died. Same CEO, Burke, pulled the product again, completely changed the form factor from capsule to caplet and relaunched *again*. It worked *again*. How'd they do that?

Burke (CEO) tapped J&Js goodwill bank account w/ the public. Two big withdrawals from that bank account in four years + 8 dead bodies! But his honesty, openness, humanity (choked up about the deaths more than once), humility kept the goodwill bank balance positive the whole time.

3. Then, start with 6% gainer to 20% gainer and look charts of everyone in daily Timeframe . (For fno selection u can choose 1% to 4% )

4. Then manually select the stocks which are going to give all time high BO or 52 high BO or already given.

5. U can also select those stocks which are going to give range breakout or already given range BO

6 . If in 15 min chart📊 any stock sustaing near BO zone or after BO then select it on your watchlist

7 . Now next day if any stock show momentum u can take trade in it with RM

This looks very easy & simple but,

U will amazed to see it's result if you follow proper risk management.

I did 4x my capital by trading in only momentum stocks.
