5 things that a trader should know and implement:

GOOGLEFINANCE(ticker, [attribute], [start_date], [end_date|num_days], [interval])

The above function is a basic one.

Let's decode each parameter in this:
⚡️ Ticker: This is the symbol of the stock.

"NSE: RELIANCE" is the ticker for Reliance Industries

⚡️ Attribute:

The attribute to fetch about ticker from Google Finance and is required if a date is specified.

The following data can be fetched:
-Open
-Close
-High
-Low
-Volume
-Market Cap
-Price (Ltp)
-52-week high
-52-week low
-Change in price

⚡️ Start_Date (Optional): The start date when fetching historical data.

⚡️ End_Date|Num_Days (O): The end date when fetching historical data, or the number of days from start_date for which to return data.

⚡️ Interval (O): The frequency of returned data; either "D" or "W"

Central Pivot Range (CPR) acts like a magnetic level for any stock/index. Traders use it for intraday but it works on higher time frame as well.
CPR is just the three lines which is like a magnet and price approaches these levels. CPR acts like a support or resistance.

What are these three lines now?

𝗣𝗶𝘃𝗼𝘁 = (High + Low + Close)/3
𝗕𝗖 = (High + Low)/2
𝗧𝗖 = (Pivot – BC) + Pivot

For intraday chart use previous day candle HLC. Similarly, for Daily Chart it would be Monthly HLC. For Weekly/Monthly Chart use Yearly HLC.

This indicator is available on Zerodha Kite (web version) and it works well there. It's also available in @tradingview but setup needs to be done based on the time frame.

CPR can be used in finding trend.

If CPR is moving up for the next day, then trend is up. If CPR is moving down for the next day, then trend is down.

Some examples for both:
In the below chart of Nifty (5 mins), CPR is moving down and price is also in downtrend.

Setup 1:

RSI- commonly used to show whether price is overbought or oversold.

General rule:
𝐑𝐒𝐈 > 𝟕𝟎 -- 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭
𝐑𝐒𝐈 < 𝟑𝟎 -- 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐝

One becomes cautious once price becomes overbought and optimistic when price becomes oversold.

Let's understand this with an example of Laurus Labs:

1. It was in overbought zone and after a few days when a small dip was seen from 693 to 588 (15% downside)

2. It was in oversold zone and after a few days when a small rally was seen from 59 to 107 (82% upside)

Well, this looks very easy, but it is not.

When a price is in overbought zone and is in momentum, then it can move up without taking a dip and exiting or shorting stock would prove wrong.

When IRCTC was in overbought zone, price went up from 2718 to 6396 (135% rally).

Similarly, for oversold stock.

When a price is in oversold zone and is crashing, then it can move down without taking an upmove and buying stock would prove wrong.

When DHFL was in oversold zone, price went down from 126 to 11 (91% crash).

People say that Part Time Trading is not easy.

I am a Part Time Trader for more than 7 years and I have been using most of these tricks in my own #trading.

Here are some free hacks for a Part Time Traders to generate additional returns along with their Job/Business 🧵:

1/ First select in what instrument you will trade or invest:

This question can be answered depending on the skills and your edge in trading.

I have my edge in Option Selling and Positional Trading.
So divided my capital in half in these two.

Note: It is not necessary to jump into Futures and Options Trading just looking at lucrative profit screenshot.

Always protect your capital and don't take huge risk.

Generate returns that give you peace of mind.

2/ Let's say you pick up Option Trading as edge.

Then you should have a proper setup that you will trade. It can be intraday or positional.

For Intraday, put alerts and Stoploss order in the system always.

For Positional as well, use alerts at Target Level or Stoploss.

3/ Let's say you pick up Cash Trading.

Then you will have to do all the chart analysis one day before. Then wait for your entry to get triggered in any stocks.

For that simply use alerts and you get notify if entry is triggered.

A THREAD ON SL, TSL AND RE-ENTRIES-

WHERE TO PUT THE SL-

1. NEAREST PIVOT/SWING POINTS-

Normally I use this method for placing sl, In this method we use swing point for placing the SL.

As normally the stock would not try to go below previous swing point if it is to go in our direction.

2. ATR method-

Sometimes the Stock do not have any nearest pivot at time of buy, So we use this method as it gives us a level on basis of current volatility of the stock.

I use 1.5 ATR away sl , say the ATR at point of entry is 30, so I place sl
1.5 X, or 45 rs away from entry

In below example the entry is 120, ATR=5, SL= 1.5X ATR= 7.5 OR 113.

Nearest pivot was too far away, that’s why this method is used in these cases.

4. Anchor candles-

Anchor bars are those which have extreme Volume, gaps or wide Ranges.

Here, we place our sl below those candles which has the above characteristics.
