My 🔟 Biggest Trading Mistakes 🧵

1⃣ Not having a trading plan

Initially, I had no proper trading plan.
Risk and rewards were not defined.

even when I tried to make a plan, I couldn't stick to it due to 2nd guessing and ended up making losses.

Overtrading and oversize are normal for traders without plan.

2⃣ Trying to buy bottoms and selling tops

'Squeezing the last drop of profit is the sure recipe to get rekt'

I tried to buy oversold stocks and sell overbought stocks..
Guess what??
ended up making losses

In trading, momentum is our friend, Try to be in the direction of trend.

3⃣ selling a big winner early

I bought #Adanient at INR 510

I sold few days later after a 10% gain

Current price: INR 1500

I was in a rush to take profits, so I missed out on HUGE upside

If the opportunity is huge, hold!

4⃣ Not buying stock due to high price

I've made this mistake over and over again

A Thread🧵

In this thread, We will learn

1. Stop Loss placement.
2. Calculation of Stoploss.
3. Calculating Position Size.
4. Probably never get bankrupt trading.

We need a stop Loss to determine where should we cut or exit the trade.

We exit the trade because the price structure starts
showing an opposite move than we had anticipated and hence it should no longer make sense to ride in the opposite direction.
Stop Loss is to be placed at that area where the market structure has turned in the opposite direction

To illustrate, in an uptrend market as illustrated below, if the Low from which a new high is made, gets broken, we can assume that the market structure is broken and the trend has changed.
If the above scenario happens, an SL at the level which changes the mkt strctr is logical.


SL is necessary
1. To find the area where the MS might change and
hence it'll become illogical to keep a trade going whilst
market structure is pointing a move in the opposite direction.
2. To calculate the Position Size of the trade.

Give priority to Stocks that

- Are green in red market
- Near their yearly high
- Trading at their all time high

- Coming out of long consolidation
-Volume building up..

Make another list of such 5-10 stocks and keep tracking them throughout the day and you will Definitely find 1-2 Breakout stocks.

There was an Asura, Kaumasura, who was doing penance to please Shiva and get a boon. To prevent him from asking for a boon, Devi Saraswati made him dumb (hence called Mookasur)
Later, Adi Parashakti slayed him and came to be called Mookambika.


It is said that Adi Shankaracharya had a vision in which Devi agreed to follow him provided he did not look back. He kept walking and was assured of her presence due to the sound of anklets. When he reached here in Kollur, he turned back as the sound of anklets had stopped.


So Devi stayed here and merged with the lingam. The place came to be called Mookambika Kshetram.
The linga has integrated on it’s left side MahaKali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswathi and on the right side- Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.


A swarna rekha (gold line) divides this linga into left and right portion. Adi Shakthi in this Udhbhavlinga form appears only here.
Devi sits in padmasana and has 4 hands.
Adi Shankaracharya installed the Sri Chakra in front of Devi and also composed the Soundarya Lahiri here.

Studying the Holy Scriptures, character building, personality development, responsibilities towards self,family and society,discipline and preservation of the ancient culture and heritage were the key embodiments of education.

This kind of education system made ancient India, a centre of knowledge all over the world. Many foreign students came to India for education and India was called the 'Vishwaguru'.
Takshshila and Nalanda were the two prominent universities of ancient India.

Short straddle :
What is ?? Sell an atm call and put.
Instrument: mostly bnf and nf.
Now there are versions of it.
1. Best version :
Enter around 9.15-20 and exit around 3.20. No adjustment nothing.
1/n.


If u r doing it on zero leverage(meaning u have full capital of around bnf's notional contract,i.e. 40000*25 = 10lacs), then u r most likely going to make better than fd or anything like that.
Simple rules : friday,monday, tuesday do for weekly. Wednesday and thrusday next week

So, gamma moves can't impact much.
Another better version of mahesh chander kaushik is to do it for monthly expiry.
Bigger premiums and never hav to worry about 200-300 points sudden moves.
2. 2nd version : have combined stoploss of premiums and re-entry criteria. Example :

Let say 40000 straddle is at 600. Sell at 600 and hav combined sl at 650. Many algos are providing this. U can even place stoploss in % terms. Like, if sold straddle at 400 and placed 10% sl, means if 440 combined premium touch, it will be stoploss.
Let say, in morning,

U sold straddle at 600 and it sl hit at 650. Now, u placed reentry at 600 with same sl. This time may be linear decay happens and u may cover morning's loss and make some profit.
3rd version : stoplosses at each leg and trail sl to cost type.
Example , 40000 straddle at 400.

2) Porus ruled the Punjab region and expanded his kingdom between the Jhelum River and Chenab River in the Indian Subcontinent. He was a legendary warrior and more war skills. He made the army most powerful with war skills. Even Alexander had also made difficulty to defeat Porus.

3)Word of Mouth Oral tradition in #Mohyal_Brahmin families since ancient times has kept the Great Saga of their Great Elder known to them as Maharaja “ #Puru” alive.

4) When #Alexander the Great invaded India in 326 BC he was challenged near Taxila by a mere chieftain of the Area. He was King #Porus, a #Vaid_Mohyal. After his encounter with Porus, Alexander met with more resistance near Multan where the forces were predominantly #Mohyal.

Before I begin, it might be worth explaining the Malay conception of the spirit world. At its deepest level, Malay religious belief is animist. All living beings and even certain objects are said to have a soul. Natural phenomena are either controlled by or personified as spirits

Although these beings had to be respected, not all of them were powerful enough to be considered gods. Offerings would be made to the spirits that had greater influence on human life. Spells and incantations would invoke their
