What are the Categories of Tawhid?

Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Let the first thing to which you will invite them, be the Tawhid of Allah."
(Sahih al Bukhari 7372)

#Tawheed is to single out Allah in his Actions, in His Attributes, and to single out Allah in our actions/worship towards Him (His Rights).

🔹1 - Tawheed ar Rububiyyah
(maintaining unity in Allah's actions, the divine Lordship of Allah)

He alone is the Creator & Sustainer, and controller of the universe (etc).. and not attributing any of this to anyone else

🔹2 - Tawheed al Ibaadah(Uluhiyyah)
(maintaining the unity of worship)
This means to single out Allah as the focus of all worship (‘ibaadah).

Allah alone has the right to be supplicated to & prayed to, and sacrificed for and worshiped... directly, and without any intermediaries.
A person can believe in Allah(One God) and still be committing #SHIRK (polytheist)

Allah says.. 👉 “And if you were to ask them: ‘Who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon?’ they will surely reply: ‘Allah.’ How then are they deviating (as polytheists and disbelievers)?” - [Quran 29:61]

NAME: #SALAHUDDIN AYYUBI"

Salahuddin Ayyubi (known as 'Saladin' in West) was one of the greatest military generals in Islamic history. -1

He was born in the year 1138, he was well known as the epitome of military intelligence in Islamic legacy, next only to Khalid Bin Waleed (r.a). -2

His greatest achievement for which he is hailed as a hero in the entire ummah since his time until now is the liberation of Jerusalem from the shackles of Crusaders.

He was the perfect combination of military might coupled with ascetic essence of Islamic spirituality. -3

His military expeditions neveru hampered him from seeking knowledge, surrounding himself with best scholars of his time and learning from them in utmost humble fashion. -4

In his youth, Salahuddin learned his military tactics from his uncle, Asad Al-Din Shirkuh and was mentored by Sultan Nur Ad-Din, who inspired Salahuddin to unite the muslim ummah. -5

The Fiqh of Eid al-Adha:

1/10. The Eid Prayer is wajib. It consists of two rakats, with extra takbirs. The wisdom behind the Eid prayers, like the Eid days themselves, is to thank Allah for His countless blessings.

2/10. After the Eid prayer, there is a khutba. It is necessary to listen to this khutba, and everything disliked in the Friday khutba is disliked here.

3/10. In the first rakat of the Eid prayer, one gives 3 additional takbirs after the opening takbir and opening supplication but before reciting the Fatiha. One should raise one’s hands with each takbir (to one’s earlobes), as one does with the opening takbir.

After each takbir, one lets one’s hands rest at one’s sides.

One pauses briefly after each takbir.

One places ones hands together, right on left under the navel, after the third and final takbir.

After this, one recites the ta`wwudh (seeking refuge in Allah from Satan),...

...says the basmala (Bismillahi al-Rahman al-Raheem), and recites the Fatiha and another surah, as normal. The rest of the rakat is the same.

4/10. In the second rakat of the Eid prayer, one also gives 3 additional takbirs. These are given after one finishes reciting the...

I've received my share of calls from young Muslim couples and know some common themes. If you're being offered any of these, say no and end it.

1) Secret Nikahs: Not only is this against the command of the Prophet (peace be on him), they never work. I've seen horror stories!

2) Polygamy: In principle I have nothing against it. But our current political and social climate makes it almost impossible to practice it justly. In most Canadian cases, I wouldn't recommend it. Once again, horror stories!

3) Marrying non-Muslims: Islam allows men to marry Christian and Jewish women. However, I really would advise against this now.

These commands are for when the man is the leader of the house and can ensure that the children will remain Muslim. Do not risk your children's Iman!

Additionally, marriage about so much more than love. After being married, I see that it needs many social scaffolding and structure to prosper.

I really see many couples in such marriages ending up resenting their partner.

I would not recommend this 95% of the time!

4) Delaying the talking process: Let me know if this sounds familiar: "He's perfect. But he isn't ready for marriage yet! 2 years, In Sha Allah!"

Not only is your boyfriend/girlfriend haraam (cause that's what they are), why invest your heart when the person isn't ready?

Ibn Masud (rAa) said about this ayah: “It is singing, by the one and only God” he repeated it 3x (Tafsir Tabari 11/61)

Ibn Abbas says the same thing (recorded in Adab Al Mufrad), so do Jabir Ibn Abdillah and Ibn Umar. As well as Ibn Abbas’ father (radhiAllahu ‘anhum)

The scholars of tafsir regarding the voice (of Iblis):

Mujahid: It is singing, flutes, distraction, falsehood (Tafsir Tabari 15/81)

Hasan Al-Basri: It’s the duff and the flute (Tafsir Samani 3/258)

Ibn Abbas said: It is singing. Upon hearing the Quran, they (the mushrikeen of makkah) used to sing and play. (Tafsir Tabari 13/82)

Mujahid also says the same thing in Talbis Iblis by Ibn Jawzi (p. 231)

Celebrating Shab E Barat - A Thread

Some Muslims celebrate the middle of Sha‘baan, fasting on that day and spending that night in prayer. There is a hadeeth concerning that which is not saheeh, hence the scholars regarded celebrating this day as an innovation

It is not prescribed in Islam to celebrate the night of the fifteenth of Sha‘baan, whether that is by spending the night in prayer, dhikr and reading Qur’aan, or by distributing sweets or giving food to people and so on.

It is not known in the saheeh Sunnah that this night is to be singled out for acts of worship.
Al-‘Iraaqi said: The hadeeth about the prayer on Laylat al-Nisf (mid-Sha‘baan) is false. Ibn al-Jawzi narrated it in al-Mawdoo‘aat (which is a compilation of fabricated hadeeths)

The hadeeth, “When the night of ‘nisf Sha‘baan’ (mid-Sha‘baan) comes, spend the night in prayer and fast on that day” was narrated by Ibn Maajah from ‘Ali. Muhashiyyah said: (It was also narrated) in al-Zawaa’id.

Its isnaad is da‘eef (weak) because of the weakness of Ibn Abi Basrah, of whom Ahmad and Ibn Ma‘een said: He fabricates hadeeth. End quote.

This has to be said.

Classical Muslim scholars and jurists have categorized friendship with NON-MUSLIM into four levels and stages

1) Muwalat or Mawadda: This means to have close and intimate relationship and deep love and affection from one’s heart for a non-Muslim such that

it makes a Muslim unmindful of his faith.

This Mawadda is reserved only for Muslims; hence it is not permitted for a Muslim to have this type of friendship with non-Muslims. The verses of the Qur’an prohibiting Muslims from having intimate and close friendship with non-Muslims,

especially the first verse of Surah al-Mumtahina, is regarding this kind of relationship.

2) Mudarat: This means to express friendship and love only outwardly without having love for them and their beliefs internally. It is a mere outward expression of the first stage (muwalat),

hence it entails being pleasant, friendly, polite and kind towards non-Muslims. It involves expressing good manners, courtesy and good behavior towards fellow human beings.
This kind of relationship with non-Muslims is permitted, as it is reserved for all human beings, whether

Muslim or non-Muslim. This becomes even more important when the objective is to safeguard one’s self from potential harm, invite them towards Islam or when they are one’s guests. The verse of the Qur’an where Allah says “unless you [do so] as a protective measure [in order to]

Mirza Ghulam was born in 1835 in India, he’s the founder of the movement claiming Islam. This movement is called "Ahmadiyya" or "Qadianiyya".

Coming from a Sunni and Sufi family, he would have been immersed very early in learning Islam and would have learned Arabic around the age of 10.

In 1889, Mîrzâ Ghulam said that he had received a "revelation" from Allah designating him as the Mahdi and mujaddid.

First problem, the Mahdi must descend from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and bear his name. What you need to know is that "Ahmad" is just a late addition to give credibility to his pseudo-prophecy.

According to Imam Ghazali there are 3 grades of
fasting

1. Ordinary Fasting: Abstaining from food, drink and
other desires.
This is the type of Fast that everyone observes

2. Special Fasting: Keeping your sense organ ( eyes , ear, tongue, hand, feet ) free from sin.

Jabir relates from Anas (RA). that the prophet, on him be peace, said: Five things break a mans Fast: lying, backbiting, gossiping, perjury and a lustful gaze.

This is practiced by righteous people .

3. Extra Special Fasting :

🍁This is Fasting of the heart from unworthy concerns and worldly thoughts, in total disregard of everything but Allah SWT.

🍁To the utmost dedication to Allah, disregarding everything else.
This fasting is practiced by prophets and Auliya Allah

🌴Fasting of the eyes :

• See not what displeases Allah SWT
• Restrained from viewing anything that is blameworthy
or reprehensible– That distracts the heart and diverts it
from the remembrance of Allah SWT.

We all know, Allah SWT had commanded us to establish prayer.
This is an Obligation on us.

It is with great grief that I'm saying sometimes in the Fajr, the imam and muazzin wait for at least one musalli to start the prayer.

So in order to avoid such time in coming future, we must teach our kids with great care and concern.+

The mosque management of three mosques around my house have collectively decided that, if any of the kids from 6-10 classes attend all the salahs for 40 consecutive days, they will be awarded with a GRAND NEW BICYCLE.

For some reason if any kid, couldn't attend all the 40 days +

He will be awarded with some or other gift or monetary rewards, each kid will be given participatory gifts too at the least.

They've announced this at Friday prayer in probably all the mosque of our division, +

Shaykh al-Mashāʾikh Makhdūm Shaykh Jalāl Mujarrad bin Muḥammad Kunyāī better known as Hazrat Shah Jalal was one of the most famous scholars and preachers to have disseminated Islam throughout Bengal. He was born in Kunyia (today known as Konya, in present-day Turkey) in 1271.

His mother, Syeda Haseenah Fatimah, and his father, Mahmud ibn Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, were descendants of the Quraysh tribe in Makkah. Having lost both his father and mother very early on in life, young Shah Jalal was raised and
educated by his maternal uncle

Sayyid Ahmad Kabir Suhrawardi, who was a prominent Muslim scholar and practitioner of Sufism. Jalal was an adherent of the Yisiwiyyah Sufi order, which was an offshoot of the famous Naqshbandiyyah tariqah.

Being a gifted student, Jalal soon committed the entire Qur’an to memory and became familiar with the traditional Islamic sciences, thus acquiring proficiency in Arabic grammar, Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir), Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh),Prophetic traditions (hadith) and tasawwuf.

Opinions of famous classical Muslim scholars.

Imam Al-Desouki:
If the wife claims she has been beaten in transgression and the husband claims otherwise, then the wife is to be believed and the husband is to be reprehended (rebuked, …) by the judge

Imam Al-Desouki:
And if proof for transgression is shown and the wife wants to remain with him, then the judge is to beat the husband.

Imam Al-Desouki:
If the husband believes that his wife will not stop rebelling except by beating, then he’s not allowed to beat her.

Ibn Hajar Al Haithami:
If a husband knows that beating isn't helpful, then it becomes haram.

Al-Shafi‘i:
Beating is allowed, but avoiding it is better.

Maliki opinion:
Beating is allowed ONLY if it delivers the benefit intended from it. If it doesn't, then it's haram.

Ibn Hazm:
A wife has the right to divorce herself and right to retribution (or retaliation) if her husband beats her violently.

He is not allowed to beat his wife violently even if he knows she won’t stop rebelling by no other means and...

We muslims and the muslims scholars always say - the Quran is the final, complete, universal and incorruptible word of god (which is true), but why is it that our "islamic governments" fail to enforce laws based on the Qur'an...

A few days back, fornication was legalised in the UAE (which is strictly prohibited in the Qur'an)
And with saudi Arabia's suspicious activity with Israeli officials, we as an ummah are bound to ask ourselves few questions

Who is responsible?

Does the majority of our ummah even want to do something about it?

This question has answers we all know, but we turn a blind eye towards it.
After the fall of the Ottoman Islamic khilafath we can safely say that it's secularism (Ataturk) which responsible for it...

The concept of equality is so flawed yet Muslim feminists like to adhere to it. What they fail to recognize is that Islam does not base a person's worth in terms of wealth or having positions of power in the workplace or a high status, when real worth is defined by righteousness,

Piety and your Imaan. To think that women will only be 'free from oppression by getting rid of the patriarchy' and to use men and masculinity as a standard to check how they need to be in society and to reach that 'standard' in order to be valued is incredibly erroneous. When

Islam places a woman's full worth in being a righteous woman who loves Allah ﷻ, obeys Him and is dutiful to the responsibilities that He has endowed upon her. That is obviously not to say that one should not strive for this world at all, you should as long as you're fulfilling

Your duties and obligations towards Allah ﷻ and the people around you, regardless of which gender you are.
