I'll touch upon few different types of cyber frauds and few possible ways in which we can avoid ourselves to be duped of money, time & energy.

Will also attach few real registered FIRs showing that most of the times such crimes happen with educated & learned people.

 Cyber Fraud type 1 - Facebook/Instagram

Profile cloning -Fraudster will make exact same profile like yours - using pictures from your own profile. They will then message to your contacts asking for money immediately for the surgery of mother or similar emotional lie

Always verify before sending money.
Don't verify by calling that person, instead, call a common friend or family member of that person. Don't think you can't be fooled - I know at least 20 people working in Top IT MNCs becoming victim of this fraud. Lock your FB/Insta.

Cyber Fraud type 2 -OLX/Quikr
This generally happens while selling something on OLX/Quikr & similar platforms. In such cases, people will fraud in the name of paying money by asking to scan the QR code or click a link.
NEVER scan the QR code to receive money, give your UPI

Cyber Fraud type 3 - Fake SMS & Call from unknown numbers
Fraudster will send fake SMS showing amount credited to the account - with correct account number in SMS. Then they will call from unknown numbers asking for money.

ALWAYS check your bank account first via bank app.

Cyber Fraud type 4- Courier/package frauds

Read the attached FIRs to understand - fraudster will befriend on social media by sharing watsapp number for authenticity. These numbers are generally foreign numbers because watsapp phone calls can't be recorded.

Cyber Fraud type 5 - Fake insurance policies or online purchase

Please see attached FIRs.
Don't buy an insurance/scheme/bitcoin etc. that is way below the normal rates and always check the email ID & website twice for authenticity. Any official ID on gmail is MOSTLY FRAUD.

Cyber Fraud type 6 - Asking to install app for doing KYC, asking to deposit money for granting loan

Never install any app on anyone's suggestion - fraudster will be able to see all the activity done on mobile including password.

Visit branch for loans and check in-person.

Cyber Fraud type 7- Identity Theft
This is most common & most emotionally traumatic for girls. Fraudsters take the pics from social media, use that to morph into pornography & then blackmail.

Lock your FB/Insta profiles; Add watermark or grey-out pics to use as profile pic

If one finds misuse of their pics, they should complaint immediately nearby Cyber cell via both email & physical complaint. Take screenshots.

Cyber Fraud type 8 - Social networking business fraud

Fraudster will show the dreams to become rich quickly in the name of clicking ads, writing reviews, creating fake profiles for corporates/political parties on social media etc etc.

GREED = STUPIDITY = PAIN

Cyber Fraud type 9 - Honey Trap

Read the FIRs attached - thousands of such frauds happening on daily basis but seldom get reported due to guilt & fake morality.

Cyber Fraud type 10 - Online matrimony

Most gullible in such type of cases are girls especially widows/divorcees. Common modus operandi is good looks, to pose as rich NRI or a person with stable earnings

Few tips to avoid Online matrimony frauds:
a)cut-off communication as soon as they ask for money.
b)don't meet secretly
c)keep a third person in loop
d) ask for address & get that verified
e) do video chats, take screenshots and tell them about it - genuine ones will be ok

There are many more ways a person can defraud using internet/phone. Most important aspect is to be vigil all the time, don't trust easily, don't share personal pics/videos easily and last but not the least - keep greed/lust under control.

Data drop! Some numbers, nuggets and trends for bowl season which I find interesting...

Miami has lost 9 of its last 10 bowl games and is 2-10 ATS in its last 12 bowl games. Oklahoma State has covered each of its last four bowl games, three coming as an underdog.

This is the first time since 2011 Texas is favored in a bowl game...

Wisconsin has won five of their last six bowl games with the only loss in that span a one-point loss to Oregon last year in the Rose Bowl. Each of Wake Forest’s last five bowl games have been one-possession games (6, 3, 3, 8, 6)...

Parler has been hacked and user data has been downloaded. The following thread contains information from /u/BlueMountainDace on Reddit:

"so a group of developers latched onto the Press Release that Twilio put out at midnight last night. In that Press Release, Twilio

accidentally revealed which services Parler was using. Turns out it was all of the security authentications that were used to register a user. This allowed anyone to create a user, and not have to verify an email address, and immediately have a logged-on account.

Well,

because of that access, it gave them access to the behind the login box API that is used to deliver content -- ALL CONTENT (parleys, video, images, user profiles, user information, etc) --. But what it also did was revealed which USERS had "Administration" rights,

"Moderation" rights.

Well, then what happened, those user accounts that had Administration rights to the entire platform... The hackers, internet warriors, call it what you will, was able to use the forgot password link to change the password. Why? Because Twilio was no

longer authenticating emails. This meant, they'd get directly to the reset password screen of that Administration user.

This group of Internet Warriors then used that account, to create a handful of other ADMINISTRATION accounts, and then created a script that ended up

1 - open trading view in your browser and select stock scanner in left corner down side .

2 - touch the percentage% gain change ( and u can see higest gainer of today)


3. Then, start with 6% gainer to 20% gainer and look charts of everyone in daily Timeframe . (For fno selection u can choose 1% to 4% )

4. Then manually select the stocks which are going to give all time high BO or 52 high BO or already given.

5. U can also select those stocks which are going to give range breakout or already given range BO

6 . If in 15 min chart📊 any stock sustaing near BO zone or after BO then select it on your watchlist

7 . Now next day if any stock show momentum u can take trade in it with RM

This looks very easy & simple but,

U will amazed to see it's result if you follow proper risk management.

I did 4x my capital by trading in only momentum stocks.

Lessor known facts of Sudarshan Chakra or Neela Chakra of Puri Jagannath Temple.

The metal wheel at the top of Bhagwan Jagannath temple is also known as Neela Chakra (Blue Wheel). The wheel is made of eight metals comprising of.. 1/n


iron, copper, zinc, mercury, lead, brass, silver & gold. It's circumferance is about 36 feet & it is so designed that there is a wheel within the wheel. The circumferance of the inner wheel is about 26 feet. Eight hubs join together the inner and the outer wheels. 2/n


There are decorative designs on the outer wheel. The thickness of the Neela Chakra is 2 inches.The wheel is said to be Bhagwan Vishnu's most powerful weapon, Sudarshana Chakra. Inside Jagannath temple, Lord Vishnu's wheel is also worshipped in the name of 'Sudarshana'. 3/n


But inside the temple Sudarshana is not in the shape of a wheel, but in the shape of a small wood pillar placed to the left of image of bhagwan Jagannath. It is believed that the same Sudarshana is also at the top of the temple and is known by the name of Neela Chakra. 4/n


There is a specific category of people among the temple sevaks to serve the Neela Chakra and they are known as Garuda Sevaka or Chunara Nejoga. The pilgrims hold these sevaks in high esteem because everyday at Sunset. 5/n

STORY OF PURANAS AND SUB PURANA (उप पुराण).

We have already gone through the series on importance & characteristics of all the eighteen Purans. We also know that originally there were hundred crore shlokas but were divided by Vyas in each Kalp and was compiled as eighteen Purans


for the common people to understand it properly and now their total is about four lakhs.

In Brahm Puran, Brahma preached this to Marichi. So this Puran of ten thousand shlokas is called Brahm Puran.

In Padma Puran, the base of the story is the appearance of Brahma on a lotus(Padm) from Vishnu' s navel.This has fifty five thousand shlokas.

Vishnu Puran is primarily based in Varah kalp. This book is on Vishnu and this book has twenty three thousand shlokas.

Vaayu Puran is written in Shwet Kalp and has twenty four thousand shlokas. Here Vayudev preaches about Dharma.

In Bhagwat Puran, which is written with the base of Gayatri mantra describes Dharma extensively. It has 18000 shlokas. It also mentions the story of Vritrasur.

In Narad Puran, which has twenty five thousand shlokas, is a sermon on Dharma by Narad based in Brihad Kalp.

Markandeya Puran has nine thousand shlokas and here it is through the birds that Dharma is described.
