page 106 - Great temple of Kahndela at rajasthan was demolish by Darab khan and Tahawwar khan while a group of rajputs was executed by the mughal army.

Page 60 - The temple of Kesho rai was demolished on the order of aurangzeb and a mosque was built over there in the holy onth of ramzan.

The temple was built by a Bundela Rajput chief and the ruler of the kingdom of Orchha, birsingh devo bundela.

Page 108 - Gwalior, Aurangzeb ordered to issue the law of islam and to collect the jaziya from the infidels or non-muslims.

Recently, Harsimrat Kaur @HarsimratBadal_ claimed in parliament that Guru Tegh Bahadur protected the religion of Hindus despite of being a Non-Hindu. And Hindus owe a huge favor to others.

In this thread, I will show that Guru Tegh Bahadur was every inch a Hindu!

Let us begin with some contemporary sources.

Guru Tegh Bahadur visited the holy Triveni at Prayaga in 1662 CE.

This visit is documented in contemporary Bhat Vahi records.

Unlike those unpublished "bhat vahis", this one was published by Sikh historian Madanjit Kaur (1978)

This Bhat Vahi was signed by Guru Tegh Bahadur.

The content of the letter is particularly striking.

Guru Tegh Bahadur calls himself a devotee of Naina Devi.

Note. A devotee of Naina Devi. He does not mention Akal Purakh or Waheguru.

In the record, Guru Tegh Bahadur identifies himself as Sodhi Khatri by Varna and Kaushish by gotra.

This is exactly how the followers of orthodox Hinduism identify themselves to this date!

Further, Guru Tegh Bahadur appoints a brahmin purohit named Bhoj Raj.

He orders Sodhis of his line and all his Sikh followers to obey the aforementioned Brahmin Purohit.

This practice of appointing purohits is just what is referred to by some people as "Brahmanical Hinduism"

She turned herself into a rock. Arunasura broke the rock open to see an army of gigantic and furious bees flying towards him. Maa in the form of a bee (Brahmara) stung him to death.
Later on, Rishis worshipped Maa Brahmaramba and pleaded her to bless in her Soumya Roopa.

Owing to their prayers, Goddess Parvathi took the form of Parameshwari and stands in Kateel to bless and protect the world from the evil forces.
There is a huge rock before leading up to the shrine. It is called Rakteshwari-the rock form took by Devi before killing the demon.

Battle of Sarangpur,
Between Rana Kumbha and Mahmud Khilji.
Rana Ji was the son of Rana Mokal Singh by his wife, Sobhagya Devi.
He was the 48th Rana of Mewar and succeeded Rana Mokal Singh in the year 1433 CE as the ruler of Mewar.

One of the assasionator of Rana Kumbha's father, Mahpa Panwar was given shelter by Mahumud Khilji, who was the sultan of Mandu.
Rana Ji demanded Mahpa Panwar from Mahmud Khilji, but he refused.
This was the main reason for Rana Kumbha to attack Mandu.

In 1437 AD, both the army met at Sarangpur, in which the army of Rana Kumbha crushed the army of Mahmud Khilji, after this defeat Khilji's army fled in all the direction.
Rana Ji captured Kjilji and brought him to Chittorgarh where he was kept in jail for 6 months.

To commemorate this victory Rana Kumbha built the great Vijay stambha in Chittorgarh.

महान गणितज्ञ आर्यभट ने अपनी पुस्तक ‘आर्यभटीय’ में 120 सूत्र दिए. पृथ्वी का अपने अक्ष पर घूमना, पाई का सटीक मान, सूर्यग्रहण और चंद्रग्रहण की व्याख्या, समयगणना, त्रिकोणमिति, ज्यामिति, बीजगणित आदि के कई सूत्र व प्रमेय

आधुनिक विज्ञान से कई वर्षों पहले हमें आर्यभट द्वारा रचित ‘आर्यभटीय’ में मिलते हैं.

1. 🌺🌺🌺पृथ्वी का घूमना🌺🌺🌺

अनुलोमगतिर्नौस्थः पश्यत्यचलं विलोमगं यद्वत्।
अचलानि भानि तद्वत् समपश्चिमगानि लंकायाम्।।
(आर्यभटीय, गोलपाद, श्लोक 9)

अर्थ: जिस प्रकार से नाव में बैठा हुआ मनुष्य जब प्रवाह के साथ आगे बढ़ता है तो उसे लगता है कि पेड़-पौधे, पत्थर और पर्वत आदि उल्टी गति से जा रहे हैं. उसी प्रकार अपनी धुरी पर घूम रही पृथ्वी से जब हम नक्षत्रों की ओर देखते हैं तो वे उल्टे दिशा में जाते हुए दिखाई देते हैं.

इस श्लोक के जरिए आर्यभट ये समझाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं कि पृथ्वी भी अपनी धुरी पर घूमती है.

2. 🌺🌺🌺पाई का मान🌺🌺🌺

चतुराधिकं शतमष्टगुणं द्वाषष्टिस्तथा सहस्राणाम्।
अयुतद्वयस्य विष्कम्भस्यासन्नो वृत्तपरिणाहः॥
(आर्यभटीय, गणितपाद, श्लोक 10)

अर्थ: 100 में चार जोड़ें, आठ से गुणा करें और फिर 62000 जोड़ें. इस नियम से 20000 परिधि के एक वृत्त का व्यास ज्ञात किया जा सकता है.
(100 + 4) x 8 +62000/ 20000= 3.1416
इसके अनुसार व्यास और परिधि का अनुपात (2πr/2r) यानी 3.1416 है, जो पांच महत्वपूर्ण आंकड़ों तक बिलकुल सटीक है.

Java was first released in mid-1995, just 6 months before JS.

By 98, when I went to college, Java was already used for all the first level courses in the CS program.

How did it catch on so quickly (just 3 years) to shift university curriculum, which is usually so slow/behind?

I wonder why Java was so respected and JS was not? Why/how was Java already seen as such a stable and mature language?

Not just Java, other languages (like python) were also released around/near 95, and also seemed to get to "mature" respect status. much quicker.

I bring all this up because my impression of Java in 98 was that it had been around "forever" (as had C++ first developed in 79, but not standardized until 98!), but that's not. true at all. These were all new languages around the same time.

I'm sure the language designs had different merits, and the target applications meant a different perception and reception, but...

it sure seems like the industry (and academics) just decided Java and C++ were the stable mature ones and langs like JS were toys.

BTW, before you assume JS was nascent/immature b/c the web wasn't much of a thing yet, remember that JS was actually released as LiveScript on the server before it was released in a browser. So "server-side JS" was always part of the story, not just Node 15 years later in 2009.

A Thanksgiving story to warm your pluralistic hearts:

It was the early 1990s, the days before Washington DC had meters in taxis. A famine was raging in Somalia. And I was working in my first job out of college: a brief stint working for an organization that focused on the Middle East peace process.

I was heading to my parents’ house. I was standing in front of a mailbox near my office. I was holding a stack of papers with Hebrew writing on them. I hailed a cab.

It was the period right around Thanksgiving.

1/ Today is #BlackHoleFriday, an annual science outreach event that, by complete coincidence I’m sure, is done on #BlackFriday. You’ll read lots of cool stuff about black holes on the hashtag. Here’s mine.

4/ So if the Sun turns into a black hole we wouldn’t get drawn in. In fact, we’d orbit it almost exactly the same way as we do now, though we’d freeze to death pretty rapidly, which, in the end, would still kinda suck.

5/ Black holes get weird *when you get close*. Anything with mass warps space — we feel that warp as gravity! — but black holes stretch space to its limit.
