हिमालय पर्वत की एक बड़ी पवित्र गुफा थी।उस गुफा के निकट ही गंगा जी बहती थी।एक बार देवर्षि नारद विचरण करते हुए वहां आ पहुंचे।वह परम पवित्र गुफा नारद जी को अत्यंत सुहावनी लगी।वहां का मनोरम प्राकृतिक दृश्य,पर्वत,नदी और वन देख उनके हृदय में श्रीहरि विष्णु की भक्ति अत्यंत बलवती हो उठी।

 और देवर्षि नारद वहीं बैठकर तपस्या में लीन हो गए।इन्द्र नारद की तपस्या से घबरा गए।उन्हें हमेशा की तरह अपना सिंहासन व स्वर्ग खोने का डर सताने लगा।इसलिए इन्द्र ने नारद की तपस्या भंग करने के लिए कामदेव को उनके पास भेज दिया।वहां पहुंच कामदेव ने अपनी माया से वसंतऋतु को उत्पन्न कर दिया।
पेड़ और पौधों पर रंग बिरंगे फूल खिल गए और कोयलें कूकने लगी,पक्षी चहकने लगे।शीतल,मंद,सुगंधित और सुहावनी हवा चलने लगी।रंभा आदि अप्सराएं नाचने लगीं ।किन्तु कामदेव की किसी भी माया का नारद पे कोई प्रभाव नहीं पड़ा।तब कामदेव को डर सताने लगा कि कहीं नारद क्रोध में आकर मुझे श्राप न देदें।
जैसे ही नारद ने अपनी आंखें खोली, उसी क्षण कामदेव ने उनसे क्षमा मांगी।नारद मुनि को तनिक भी क्रोध नहीं आया और उन्होने शीघ्र ही कामदेव को क्षमा कर दिया।कामदेव प्रसन्न होकर वहां से चले गए।कामदेव के चले जाने पर देवर्षि के मन में अहंकार आ गया कि मैने कामदेव को हरा दिया।
नारद फिर कैलाश जा पहुंचे और शिवजी को अपनी विजयगाथा सुनाई।शिव समझ गए कि नारद अहंकारी हो गए हैं और अगर ये बात विष्णु जी जान गए तो नारद के लिए अच्छा नहीं होगा।ये सोचकर शिवजी ने नारद को भगवन विष्णु को ये बात बताने के लीए मना किया। परंतु नारद जी को ये बात उचित नहीं लगी।
उन्होनें सोचा कि मैने कामदेव को हराया है और इतनी बड़ी जीत का उल्लेख भी मैं किसी के साथ न करूं! ये सोच नारद कैलाश से क्षीरसागार की ओर चल पड़े। वहां पहुंचते ही नारद ने अपनी कामदेव पर विजय की गाथा भगवान विष्णु को भी सुना दी।विष्णु जी समझ गए कि मेरा प्रिय भक्त अहंकार से घिर चुका है ।
विष्णु जी ने सोचा कि मुझे नारद का घमंड दूर करने के लिए कोई उपाय तो करना होगा।विष्णु जी से विदा लेते हुए जब नारद चले तो अपनी माया से नारद के रस्ते में विष्णु जी ने एक बड़ा ही भव्य व सुन्दर नगर बना दिया।
उस नगर में शीलनिधि नाम का वैभवशाली राजा रहता था।उस राजा की विश्वमोहिनी नाम...
...की एक अत्यंत सुन्दर और भाग्यशाली बेटी थी जिसके रूप को देख लक्ष्मी जी भी मोहित हो जाएं।शीलनिधि राजा अपनी बेटी का स्वयंवर कराने जा रहे थे इसलिए दूर-दूर से कितने ही राजा नगर में आए हुए थे।नारद जी भी राजा से मिलने उनके राजमहल पहुंचे।राजा ने उनका पूजन कर उन्हें सिंहासन पे बैठाया।
फिर उनसे अपनी कन्या की हस्तरेखा देख कर उसके गुण-दोष बताने को कहा।विश्वमोहिनी के रूप को देख नारद मुनि वैराग्य भूल गए और उसे देखते ही रह गए।उसकी हस्तरेखा बता रही थी कि उस कन्या से जो विवाह करेगा,वह अमर हो जाएगा, उसे संसार में कोई भी जीत नहीं सकेगा और वह समस्त संसार पे राज करेगा।
परंतु ये बातें नारद मुनि ने राजा को नहीं बताई।राजा को उन्होने कुछ और बातें अपने मन से बनाकर बता दी। नारद जी के मन में अब अहंकार के साथ लोभ भी घर कर गया।वे सोचने लगे कि कुछ ऐसा उपाय किया जाए कि ये कन्या मुझसे ही विवाह करे।ऐसा सोचकर नारद ने श्री हरि को याद किया और भगवान विष्णु...
...उनके सामने प्रकट हो गए।नारद जी ने अपने दिलकी बात प्रभु को बताते हुए कहा,'हे नाथ!आप मुझे बहुत ही सुन्दर रूप प्रदान करें ताकि वो कन्या अपने स्वयंवर में केवल मुझे ही पसंद करे और मेरा उससे विवाह हो जाए।'ये सुन श्रीहरि बोले,'हे मुनिवर!मैं अवश्य ही वो करूंगा जिसमें तुम्हारी भलाई हो।
यह कहकर भगवान विष्णु ने तुरंत ही नारद को एक बन्दर का रूप दे दिया और कहा,'जाओ करलो अपनी मुराद पूरी।'नारद बड़े प्रसन्न हुए क्योंकि उन्हें लगा की प्रभु ने उन्हें बहुत ही सुन्दर रूप प्रदान किया है।वहां पर ही छुपे हुए शिवजी के दो गणों के सामने ही ये सब घटनाक्रम चल रहा था।
देवर्षि नारद शीघ्र ही विश्वमोहिनी के स्वयंवर पहुंचे और शिवजी के वे दो गण भी ब्राह्मण वेष धर वहां पहुंच गए।वे दोनो नारद को सुनाकर कहने लगे कि भगवान ने इन्हें इतना सुन्दर रूप दिया है कि राजकुमारी सिर्फ इन पर ही रिझेगी।उनकी बातें सुन नारद के मन में लड्डू फूट रहे थे।
स्वयं प्रभु श्रीहरि भी एक राजा का वेष धर वहां आगए।स्वयंवर शुरु हुआ और विश्वमोहिनी ने नारद की तरफ देखा भी नहीं।उसने जाकर सबसे सुन्दर राजा रुपी विष्णु के गले में वरमाला डाल दी।ये देख नारद अपना आपा खोबैठे तब शिवजी के गणों ने ताना कसते हुए उनसे कहा,'जरा दर्पण में अपना मुंह तो देखो।'
देवर्षि ने जब अपना मुंह दर्पण में देखा तो अपनी कुरूपता देख उनके क्रोध का ठिकाना नहीं रहा। क्रोधित हो उन्होने सबसे पहले उन शिवगणो को राक्षस हो जाने का शाप दे दिया।तत्पश्चात जब उन्होने दोबारा अपना मुंह पानी में देखा तो उन्हे अपना असली रूप वापस मिल चुका था।
श्रीहरि के ऊपर उन्हें बड़ा क्रोध आ रहा था क्योंकि उनकी वजह से ही नारद की इतनी जग हसाई हुई।भगवान विष्णु से मिलने के लिए नारद जी चले तो रास्ते में ही उन्हे प्रभु के दर्शन हो गए और उनके साथ देवी लक्ष्मी और विश्वमोहिनी भी थीं। उन्हें देखते ही नारद उनपे बरस पड़े।
नारद ने क्रोध में उनसे कहा,'आप किसी दूसरे की खुशी देख ही नहीं सकते।आपमें ईर्ष्या और कपट भरा पड़ा है।समुद्र मंथन के समय आपने भगवन शिव को विष दिया और राक्षसों को मदिरा पिला दी जबकि आपने लक्ष्मी जी और कौस्तुभ मणि को स्वयं के लिए ले लिया।आप बड़े धोखेबाज और कपटी हो।
आपने जो मेरे साथ किया उसका फल अवश्य पाओगे।आपने मनुष्य रूप धारण करके विश्वमोहिनी को पाया है, इसलिए मैं आपको श्राप देता हूं कि आपको मनुष्य योनि में जन्म लेना होगा।आपने मुझे स्त्री से दूर किया है इसलिए आपको भी स्त्री से दूरी का दुख सहना पड़ेगा और आपने मुझे वानर का रूप दिया इसलिए...
...आपको बंदरों से ही मदद लेनी होगी'।नारद के श्राप को श्री विष्णु ने पूरी तरह स्वीकार कर लिया और तब नारद पर से उन्होनें अपनी माया को हटा लिया। माया हटते ही नारद विष्णु जी को दिए गए अपने श्राप के कारण विलाप करने लगे किन्तु दिया गया श्राप वापस नहीं हो सकता था इसलिए श्री विष्णु...
...को श्रीराम के रूप में मनुष्य बनकर धरती पे अवतरित होना पड़ा।शिवजी के दोनो गण भी नारद के चरणों में गिरकर कहने लगे,'हे मुनिराज!हमदोनो शिवगण हैं।आपका मजाक उड़ाने के कारण हमें आपसे श्राप मिल चुका है।कृपा कर हमें भी अपने श्रापसे मुक्त करें।'नारद बोले कि मेरा श्राप वापस नहीं हो सकता।
इसलिए तुम दोनो रावण और कुम्भकर्ण के रूप में महान ऐश्वर्यशाली बलवान तथा तेजवान राक्षस बनोगे और अपनी भुजाओं के बल से पूरे विश्व पर विजय प्राप्त करोगे।उसी समय भगवान विष्णु राम के रूप में अवतरित होंगें। युद्ध में तुम दोनो उनके हाथों मारे जाओगे और तुम्हारी मुक्ति हो जाएगी ।
तब श्री विष्णु ने नारद को बताया कि उन्होने ये माया क्यों रचाई थी। उन्होने कहा कि नारद तुम्हारे अन्दर अहंकार और लोभ के बीज रोपित हो चुके थे और इन्हीं से तुम्हें मुक्ति दिलाने के कारण मुझे ये माया करनी पड़ी।मेरे हृदय में हमेशा तुम्हरा हित ही होता है।
ये सुनकर देवर्षि नारद और भी दुखी हो गए और विलाप करते हुए अपने अराध्य श्री हरि के चरणों में गिर पड़े। भगवान विष्णु ने उन्हें उठाया और स्नेहपूर्वक अपने गले लगा लिया।

Ahilyabai was Born on May 31,1725 in the village of Chondi,Jamkhed distt,Maharashtra to a man named Mankoji Shinde,who was the Patil(Chief) of a village and a member of proud Dhangar Community.


Despite the fact that girls' education was a farther dream in those days, Ahilyabai was homeschooled by her father.
Ahilya didn't belong to any royal family but in a twist of fate she is still remembered as one of the most revered Queen in the history.


While they were living their humdrum lives, one day Malhar Rao Holkar, commander of the Peshwa Bajirao & Lord of the Malwa stopped in Chondi on his way to Pune, where he couldn't help but notice a young 8yrs old Ahilyabai in the temple service feeding the poor & hungry.

He was so impressed by the sheer innocence&beauty with simplicity character of Ahilyabai dat he asked her hand in marriage for his son Khanderao Holkar.Just like that she got married to Khanderao in 1733 at a tender age of 8&became a bride of esteemed Maratha community of Holkars

But destiny had something else in store for her as her husband died in the Battle of Kumbher in 1754 leaving her widow at 29.Distressed Ahilyabai was to commit Sati when her father-in-law Malhar Rao refused to let it happen.

Rani Chennamma of Kittur was one of the first women rulers of India who fought against the might of the British Empire in 1824. Rani Chennamma was born in 1778 in a small village of Kakati in Belgaon distt of the State of Karnataka.


She was born into the Lingayat Community to a man named Dhulappa Desai. From a very young age she was trained in horse riding,sword fighting, archery and diplomacy. At a very young age of 15 yrs, she was married to the King of Kittur and became the Queen of Kittur.


It is said that King of Kittur Mallasarja was once moving around in the neighbouring kingdoms to find support to fight Tipu Sultan. It is then, when he came across Chennamma and he immediately got attracted to her sheer confidence and bravery.

Rani Chennamma and King Mallasarja had a son together who died very soon after the death of King Mallasarja in 1816. As the Queen of Kittur, Rani Chennamma immediately adopted Shivalingappa as her son and declared him the heir to the throne of Kittur.

This did not go well with the British East India Company who was enforcing the Doctrine of Lapse those days, according to which the adopted children of the Indian rulers were not allowed to become their heirs and if the native rulers did not have children of their own, their...

💮Did you know about the Right-hand man of Veer Savarkar who revolutionized the independence struggle in southern Bharat?💮

VVS Aiyar was born on April 2, 1881, in a middle class brahmin family in Varahaneri village in Tiruchi.


He completed his graduation with B.A in History, Politics and Latin from St. Joseph’s College. He studied Law and passed the Pleader examination from the University of Madras in the year 1902.

Later he practised as a Junior Lawyer or Pleader in the District courts of Tiruchi. In 1906, he went to Rangoon, and practised as a junior in the Chambers of an English Barrister.


From Rangoon, he left for London in 1907, enrolled in Lincoln’s Inn with a view to becoming a Barrister at Law.
At the end of the conversation with Savarkar, there was a metamorphosis in his life. He became an activist in the Indian freedom struggle.


He became the right hand of Savarkar in organizing the Indian Home Rule League and giving training for a violent uprising for India’s liberation.

VVS was the man who stood by Savarkar in all his endeavours. He was inspired by Savarkar and in turn inspired Savarkar.

🌺Rishi Bharadwaj and his quest to learn the Vedas.🌺

"One has to be humble if he desires to acquire knowledge - Rig Veda.”
There once lived a great Rishi named Bharadvaja.He had an intense desire for knowledge &made it his life goal to master the Vedas.


The Vedas are India’s oldest sacred texts. However, the sage knew that he was only going to live for a hundred years. So he did severe penances and pleased Dev Indra.

Indra appeared before him and the sage asked Indra, “Please give me a hundred more years so that I can complete studying the three vedas”.
Then Indra said,”Tathasthu ( let it be so)”. So the sage Bharadwaja studied the vedas continuously.


When the end of that 100 more years approached, he again prayed to Indra and asked for 100 more years. Indra granted his request. When he again prayed to Indra for further longevity, Indra appeared before him and decided to instruct the rishi Himself.

The Dev then uttered the three vyahritis “Bhuh”, “Bhuva”, and “svah” and created three huge mountains.
When the sage saw the mountains he thought, “Maybe the three mountains represent my mastery over the three vedas”.

Some tweets on Adi Shankaracharya and in particular the Guru Parampara of @sringerimath. [I had done this series earlier 5 years ago on account of Shishya Sweekaram].


Adi Shankara established the Sringeri Peetham as the 1st of 4 amnaaya peetams.

The four being
1. Sarada Peetam at Sringeri.
2. Govardhana Peetam at Puri
3. Kalika at Dwaraka
4. Jyothir at Badarikashramam.

He installed his 4 most prominent shishyas as heads of the peetams.

Sureshwaracharya was assigned to Sringeri as its head.

Sringeri is a corruption of Rshyashrunga giri.

Rshyashrunga maharshi [and his father Sri Vibandhaka Maharshi] did their tapas at this place.

It is at Sringeri that Shankara spent 12 of His precious 32 years!!

That gives you and idea how much He loved this place.

Rshyashruga maharshi had a horn on his forehead, a result of being born to a deer. His mere presence was enough to shower rains!!

Rshyashrunga was one who led Putrakamesthi Yaagam of Dasaratha Maharaj and which resulted in Sri Rama's birth!!

Anyways, Woke up this mornin with so much energy(glory to God), at a time, I was considering walking from ABEOKUTA- Ibadan just to show that my frenemy, Pst. @Abel2goupOla that I was fitter.. 😂


Anyways, I set out early praying in tongues, which is my usual practice, but, midway, I decided to listen to one of the audio messages on my phone. The lot fell on Pst. E.A. Adeboye's message, titled, "THE CREATIVE POWER OF GOD'S WORD"

His Word can CREATE, CALL FORTH, CANCEL,

OBTAIN etc. It can serve in every capacity and can do all things, even d imagined stuffs can b brought to manifestation.

Making time to study His Word is really underrated. Many today just glance thru & rush off. This will not help. We must make time in d midst of no time.

Now, indulge me to ask you these simple questions.

When was the last time you came to the altar of Prayer, just to guage your relationship with God?

Have you noticed or observed that, We monitor almost everything in our lives?

From the petrol in our car to that in our generators.

We monitor the money in our banks as well as that in our pocket....

Here’s the story of how Malcom McLean made a billion dollars and which startup could be following in his footsteps. (Inspired by our episode with @laurabehrenswu)


In the early 1950s, the shipping industry was a dying business.

New York’s docks were handling half as much domestic cargo in the early 1950s as they had been in the depressed 1930s.

In thirty years, no one had invested significant money in coastal shipping.

Why?

As McLean found out, loading ships was difficult and slow.

A truck or train would deliver items to the port. Each item was unloaded separately, recorded, and carried to storage.

When a ship was ready, each item was taken from storage, counted again, and hauled on-board.


The cost of this labor was significant. As one expert at the time explained:

“A four-thousand-mile voyage for a shipment might consume 50 percent of its costs in covering just the two ten-mile movements through two ports.”


Yet, despite the industry’s issues, it felt little pressure to change.

Foreigners were barred from operating domestically. Cartels ran international routes. And gov. subsidies eased the pain of labor costs.

Reshaping the industry needed an outsider.

The Straddle is my favorite trade these days. But more often than not, one needs to adjust to make a good return from it. There are many ways to do this depending on your view, psychology and imagination. Will discuss a few that I use

The Straddle is a delta neutral strategy and it is important to keep deltas in check during the course of the Trade and not let them run away from you. Of course Volatility is the elephant in the room- but not going there as that will require a separate discussion

The first and most common method is to go 'inverted.' That is to say to shift the untested side to generate additional Premium and increase the runway to Breakeven. So if you start with a Straddle at 700 and price goes to 740, you can move the PE up to say 720.

How much should you move the untested side? While again this is a matter of skill, experience and artistry, the rule of thumb is to cut deltas by half. Remember, prices will move and you have to allow sufficient room for them to fluctuate

The second method is to shift the entire Straddle in the direction of the move. So if you have a 700 Straddle and Price goes to 740, you can shift the Straddle to 720. If you time this right, it can generally be done at virtually no cost or minimal cost.
