 🌸KANTHIMATHI-Mother of Sri Ramanuja. Kanthimathi was the sister of sri periya thirumalai nambi .
🌸SRI YAMUNACHARYA-Acharya of Sri Ramanuja.Also known as Alavandar.
🌸THIRUKOKOSHTIYUR NAMBI-Also known as Ghosti Purna.He instructed the Rahasya Traya to Sri Ramanujar.
He lived in thirukoshtiyur.
🌸THIRUKKACHI NAMBI-Kanchi purna was born in puvirunthavalli near kanchipuram and met the young ramanuja at an important time.He did the service of Lord Varadha.
🌸THIRUVARANGA PERUMAL ARAIYAR-Important acharya lived in srirangam and rendered the service of playing music for lord Sriranganatha.
🌸PERIYA THIRUMALAI NAMBI-He was the maternal uncle of Sri Ramanuja.He taught sri ramanuja about the epic of sri ramayana and other ithihaas and puranas.Served sri venkateswara at tirumala.
🌸THIRUMALAI ANDAN-Another important scholar .He served sri ranganatha by offering flower to the lord everyday and taught sri ramanuja the thiruvaimozhi of sri nammazhwar.
🌸PERIYA NAMBI (MAHA POORNA)-He gave many important instructions to sri ramanuja and helped him conduct himself well.
🌸 YADAVA PRAKASHA-Famous exponent of advaita philosophy and the teacher of sri ramanuja .He became a follower of sri ramanuja in later years and authored a work called yati dharma samucchaya.
🌸GOVINDA(EMBAR)-Was a cousin of sri ramanuja and was born in maduramangalam near sriperambudur.He was a lifelong companion of sri ramanuja and prepared his bed for him daily .
🌸KOORATHAZHWAN-Hailed from kooram near kanchipuram.He was a faithful disciple of sri ramanuja He was in charge of sri ramanujas library.
🌸MUDALIANDAN-The nephew of sri ramanuja.He was in charge of all the administrative activities of the srirangam temple.
🌸CHOMASIANDAN-A disciple of sri ramanuja who was from thirunarayanapuram .He was expert at composing music He conducted the daily worship in the aashram of sri ramanuja.
🌸KIDAMBI ACCHAN-Disciple of sri ramanuja. He was in charge of preparing food and feeding the deities of sri ramanuja and offering the prasadam to sri ramanuja.
🌸ANANTHAZHWAN-A disciple of sri ramanuja who moved to tirumala to fulfill the wishes of sri ramanuja .He established a garden from which flowers were supplied to the lord.
🌸VADUGA NAMBI-Important disciple of sri ramanuja.He was in charge of serving milk to sri ramanuja every day.

Vidura neeti & Chanakya neeti – It is a comprehensive book of advice to one & all though it’s taken as a dialogue between the Vidura & King Dhritarashtra. As the story in the epic goes, Pandavas claimed their rightful land from their cousins Kauravas on completion of their exile.


King Dhritharashatra sought Vidura’s direction. This collection called as Vidura neethi contains profound insights which he shares with the king while admonishing him to return the kingdom to the Pandavas. 1/11

This would be just and fair. The message and instructions are very useful and meaningful even today. Since it is part of the famous epic Mahabharatha, the text dates back to three thousand years BC.

Much of the stories, narrations, teachings and lessons from this epic though not well documented yet have survived to the test of time. 2 /11

The questions that rose in the mind of the king then are not different today which rises in any ordinary mortal. Strangely the answers given by Mahatma Vidur continue to enlighten us albeit centuries have passed.

Sri Garuda's Blessing to Swamy Desikan.

It is said in Scriptures that the Garuda is Veda swaroopi.

Sri Appullar taught the sacred Garuda mantra to Swamy Desikan.


Swami Desika wanted to chant the Garuda mantra taught to him for many days without food and sleep to receive the blessings of the divine bird Sri Garuda.

He went to Thiruvahendrapuram and climbed the small hill there and started chanting the mantra.

Sri Garuda was pleased with the devotion of Swamy Desikan and blessed him with Sri Hayagreeva mantra and instructed him to chant it continuously to receive the blessings of Lord Haygreeva.

Then Lord Hayagreeva appeared before Swamy Desikan and blessed him with the nectar flowing from HIS mouth.

Lord Hayagreeva took the seat of Swami Desika’s tip of the tounge as prayed by him.

Also Sri Hayagreeva gave an idol of Himself for Swamy Desikan’s daily worship.

This idol or vigraha is still being preserved in the Devanatha temple in Thiruvaheendrapuram.

Swami desikan composed a lot of famous slokas like Haygreeva stotram, Devanayaka panchashat in Sanskrit and Achchutha shatakam in Prakriut & Mummanikkovai & Nava mani maalai in Tamil.

Bhu Varaha Swamy Temple

Bhu Varaha Swamy temple is a Hindu temple, located at Srimushnam, in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture...


the temple is dedicated to Varaha (Bhu Varaha Swamy), the boar-avatar of the god Vishnu and his consort Lakshmi as Ambujavalli Thayar.

The temple had contributions from Medieval Cholas of the 10th century with later expansions by Thanjavur Nayak king Achuthappa Nayak.


A granite wall surrounds the temple, enclosing all the shrines and the temple tanks. There is a seven-tieredrajagopuram, the temple’s gateway tower.

Six daily rituals and three yearly festivals are held at the temple, of which the Chariot festival....


celebrated during the Tamil month of Vaikasi (April–May), being the most prominent. The festival also symbolises Hindu-Muslim unity in the region – the flag of the chariot is provided by Muslims; they take offerings from the temple and present to Allah in the mosques.

Ashta Siddhi

Ashta Siddhi is mentioned in Patanjali Yog sutra and can be obtained by very few through countless years of practice and devotion to all eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga.

Siddhi can loosely be translated as accomplishment or a special power or unusual skill.


The eight Siddhis are:

1. Anima: Reducing one’s physical self to the size of an atom.

2. Mahima: Expanding one’s physical self to infinite level

3. Garima: Making one’s physical self so heavy as immovable by others

4. Laghima: Becoming almost weightless


5. Prapti: Being able travel anywhere in the Universe

6. Prakamya: Can know & understand what is going on in one’s mind. Can understand other person’s min.

7. Ishitva: Possessing title of Bhagwan

8. Vashitva: A seeker can subdue any person/thing

Hanumanji not only possessed all eight siddhis, but was also blessed by Sita mata as “Ashta Siddhi Nau Nidhi Ke Daata”.

When Hanumanji first reaches to Lanka on his mission to find Sita, he makes use of anima so as to be discrete in enemy territory.


He uses it again when he approaches Sita mata for the first time – reducing his size to that of a schoolboy, to avoid scaring her. He uses mahima to outwit & overpowers

one of the things i like about Batman is that it's fundamentally about being orphaned, and being an orphan — how this guy stays tethered to the world in his own weird, abstract, extrajudicial way when he feels that his link to it has been violently severed

Batman does this by permanently recapitulating his own trauma: solving crimes for other people, protecting them. But that's actually just the beginning; he also recapitulates his own experience of orphanness by essentially raising several orphans

Dick is an orphan in the traditional sense: dead parents. Batman sees it happen. Jason, less so: missing dad, known mom who eventually dies. Tim, even less so: parents are around a while, and involved, before both dying. Carrie, even less than that: negligent parents.

Steph: evil father, who openly works against her. And then there's Damian, whose parents are both alive and yet both have identities that totally obliterate their role as his parents. He doesn't relate to them as a mother and father; he can't, and neither can they.

In all these different cases, Batman tries all these different ways of making orphanness for them not what it was for him: Either by trying to teach them the (arguably poor) coping skills early that he learned over a very long time, or by literally legally adopting them, etc.
