Kolavizhi Amman (Badrakali) .She is the guardian deity , grama devata of Mylapore (once a village, eventually part of Chennai now). Panguni Festival starts at Kapalishwarar Temple only after worshipping her. Like a permission :)

Kapalishwarar in full prep mode for the upcoming Panguni Festival that begins with Kodi Yetram (flag hoisting) tomorrow.
Amusing to see western band playing along with Nadhaswaram, tavil. (Absolutely no sync 😅). Anyway, the festive spirit is on. I hope they follow all protocols. In a normal world, temple would have been full by this time.
An interesting thing is, I saw a guy holding #SaveTNTemples poster outside , written in Tamil. A lot of people did get curious and wanted to know more. Unfortunately couldn't click as I had flowers in hand. I hope to see him again in the next 10 days.
