How would u identify scrips just before breakout?

Here are a few pointers
Carefully understand the them and use at ur own discretion

Price is testing the same resistance repeatedly since long.
But now in recent times it's forming multiple candles near the same resistance with low volume.
Observe it and see for opposite move.
As soon as u get a positive candle, get in to it.

1. Volume buildup (vol > when resistance point created) along with, increase in OI, increase in delivery % on HTF
2. On LTF, price stalling around breakout area for at least 1-2hr.
3. No major events.

Stock reaching breakout LVL with HL-HH
Contraction of price and volume near it especially near 20 days ma.
If there is any breach of the latest HL it should be followed by a bullish candle with good volume.
Left side of the chart has a rally with a very steep slope of ma.

Number of wide range green bars with high volumes.
If stock is at its ATH then it adds more conviction bcz there wont b supply after that point

Consolidation below the resistance, volume of the candles & strong bullish candle closing at near highs just below the resistance

A stock which was trending in twitter till last week bcz of its vertical rally, gave a flag pattern breakout now. Simple and clear price action. Might make further rally from here

Pullback Trading Strategy

Stock Selection: Stock under major uptrend with higher swing highs and lows since last one year
Trade location: Pullback to 20SMA after making a higher high
Trade set up: Candlestick Reversal Pattern with high Volume
SL: <20SMA of low
Target: Breakout

Suppose u r in a long trade in 5min TF,
How would u assess trend is still intact
and
u can scale into the trade to maximize the profitability ?

HH HL formation and pin bar with good vol at vwap or just abv previous low. ADX greater than 25

Low volumes on counter trend move and price not closing below Vwap

HH and HL formation on 5 min time frame. Volumes expanding when making HH and low volumes when in LL. Price above vwap

SuperTrend 10,2, for scale in at ST retracement

a). Bullish PA when candle is at VWAP
b). Minimal Overhead resistance (Volume Profile can help) helps in making the stock to trend more easily
c). Can Scale in when Price retraces to VWAP during low volume period mid-afternoon and forms a Bullish candlestick

a). Trend still intact: Slope of 20 or 21 EMA moving higher
b). Upscale: Price pullback to EMA with less volume followed by upmove with good volume

b). Above yesterday VWAP
c). Possibly Ascending Triangle Break Out.
d). If continued trend dont add
e). If re test confirmed in intraday will add more

Regression channel usually saves the trend to stay intact. LTTS looks so oversold yet strongly uptrending
Quite a setup it is !!

Before making ur trade entry or even before making a bias of trend as either bullish or bearish, do u use any objective measures to define the trend based on price, volume and momentum?
Price will always go back and forth move no matter how strong the trend is.

So an objecctive way of defining the trend as bullish or bearish will help u to stay out of counter trend trades which usually not only hit SL, but slippages tend to be quite high in case of those trades. If u dont believe that, u can either check ur journal .

In the pic, an example was shown with objectively defining the price trend based on momenum. If price is bullish then either take long entry while price pulls back on 20 SMA or when it makes a new breakout, its very very safe method.

Even one can use simple MACD for defining the trend. Indicator doesnt have any magic, be it custom made or default one. Trick is in identifying the bias when its quite clear and obvious and not to trade till then.

If u are a day trader, irrespective of the TF u trade, u should align urself with the trend in 15min TF. Avoiding whats happening in 15min TF, is highly dangerous and will end up as a very costly mistake.

10 week EMA is more logically powerful than a 10 day EMA. The reason being in weekly TF, 10EMA represents 50EMA in daily while 10 day EMA corresponds to much less important 50EMA in 75 min TF.

In the same way 40 week EMA is proxy to all important 200EMA in daily.

FMCG sector is really strong since few days now. Like the bottom in MArch 2020 where pharma and fmcg rallied and lead the market, we have IT and FMCG as leaders now.

But would u really consider betting on HUL (medium term) recent breakout considering its structure ????

Popularity behind the breakout is the fact that it doesnt need any skills to spot it, even a 90% blind man can spot it in any chart, because the price just sticks out from the rest by a very big margin

But think about a completely diffferent method where the price makes a clean move and the risks assicated with it is cubstantially less.

Swing trading set ups

1. Pin bar at 200EMA in daily TF
2. Stocks riding through upper Bollinger Band in daily TF
3. Hidden bullish divergence
4. Price at horizontal channel bottom
5. Anchor vwap support from past major swing low
6. Price retesting previous ATH after breakout

Momentum always fade before it reverses. No abrupt reversal in it.
U can see in the pic below, it always passess through a choppy zone, before trend reversal to give a clear momentum.

With a huge gap up and no follow through today, price is still not bearish
