In the 1659 Adilshah sent Afzalkhan with the army of 75000 soldiers to destroy Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with his empire. He was the main soldier, warrior and minister in Adilshahi Sultanate.

He was the Subhedar of Wai province.

He was very powerful physically. His height was 7.3 ft. due to same he was very popular as a strong man from Adilshahi Sultanate.

Whole India was not daring to fight with Adilshahi due to Afzal Khan.

Badi Begum Sahiba sent him to kill Chhatrapati Shivaji on any cost.

Voluntary he decided to destroy Chhatrapati Shivaji’s empire with him. He started his operation against Chhatrapati Shivaji from "wai". He destroyed many temples like as Tulja Bhavani Temple.

He destroyed so many villages, killed villagers to torture Chhatrapati Shivaji.

DETAILED VIEW- Running commentary

1. Chhatrapati Shivaji chose Pantaji as a lawyer to communicate with Afzal Khan. Pantaji was very sharp minded, who did his job very nicely.

2. He presented Chhatrapati Shivaji is fearing Afzal Khan and he wanted to invite him in his kingdom near Pratapgad.

3. Pantaji succeed in the communication with Afzal Khan and he brought him as per the planning of Chhatrapati Shivaji.

महाभारत की कहानी कौन नहीं जानता।लेकिन क्या आपको पता है कि महाभारत के ज्यादातर पात्र किसी न किसी श्राप में फंसे थे।अगर ये श्राप न होते तो कदाचित महाभारत की कहानी कुछ और होती।हिन्दु पौराणिक ग्रंथों में विभिन्न श्रापों का वर्णन मिलता है व हर श्राप के पीछे कोई कहानी अवश्य होती है।

1) राजा पाण्डु को ऋषि किन्दम का श्राप

एकबार महाराज पाण्डु शिकार खेलने वन गए।झाडियों के पीछे कुछ हिल रहा था। मृग है सोचकर राजा ने बाण चलाया जो जाकर ऋषि किन्दम और उनकी पत्नी को लगा।वे दोनो रति-क्रीड़ा में लिप्त थे।

जब राजा ने उन्हें देखा तो बहुत दुखी हुए कि ये मुझसे क्या पाप हो गया।बहुत क्षमा याचना के बाद भी किन्दम ऋषि ने पाण्डु को श्राप दे दिया कि जब भी वो किसी स्त्री को काम भावना से स्पर्श करेंगे उसी क्षण उनकी मृत्यु हो जाएगी।पश्चाताप करने, वे सिंहासन पे अन्धे राजा धृतराष्ट्र को बैठाकर...

..स्वयं अपनी रानियों कुंती व माद्री के साथ वन चले गए।पांडवों का जन्म भी कुंती को ऋषि दुर्वासा द्वारा दिए गए मंत्र से हुआ था जिसमे किसी भी देव का स्मरण कर उस देव से कुंती,पुत्र प्राप्त कर सकती थी।एक बार माद्री पे मोहित हो जब पांडु ने उसे स्पर्श किया,उसी क्षण पांडु की मृत्यु होगयी।

2) उर्वशी का अर्जुन को श्राप

महाभारत युद्ध से पहले जब अर्जुन दिव्यास्त्र प्राप्त करने स्वर्ग गए तो वहां उर्वशी नाम की अप्सरा उन पर मोहित हो गयी। अर्जुन ने जब उन्हें अपनी माता के समान बताया तो यह सुनकर उर्वशी क्रोधित हो गयी और अर्जुन को श्राप दे डाला कि तुम नपुंसक की भांति...

Navgraha kshetram dedicated to Shiva and where Sri Dakshinamurthy is worshipped as Guru Bhagwan (Jupiter/Brihaspati).
The shrine is renowned for its tri-glories, i.e. Moorthy, sthalam and theertham (Holy Water).

This place is believed to be the one where Shiva consumed the deadly poison (Ala Visham) that came out after samudra manthan. Hence, Shiva came to be called Apatsahayesvarar (One who defends from danger).
Kshetram is believed to have been constructed by Amuthokar (a Shiva bhakt).

He was the minister of King Masukuntha Chakravarti and was beheaded as he refused to give half of his Punya (merit) to the King.
On his death, the sthalam reverberated with the sound ‘Amuthokar’. Frightened King prayed to Apatsahayeswarar and was relieved from all Doshas.

Alangudi is surrounded by 3 holy rivers-Cauvery, Kolidam and Vennaru. Fifteen theerthams are around this kshetram. Amrita Pushkarani encircling the Kshetram is very famous. Chakra theertham in front of the shrine is believed to have been created by Sri Vishnu’s Chakra.

Story 21 - it is about how stone elephant came to life and ate sugarcane - When Raja Abhisheka Pandyan met Ellam Valla Siddhar

Raja Abhisheka Pandiyan went ahead to meet Ellam Valla Siddhar on the premises of the temple.On seeing the arrival of Raja, people surrounding Siddhar moved back. Abhisheka Pandiyan introduced himself to Siddhar &asked about his whereabouts.Also his purpose of visit to Madurai.

Raja asked why he performed magical acts, does he expect anything from him or people of Madurai.

Siddhar laughed & replied to Raja that he was from Kasi. He had heard a lot about Madurai in Kashi.Also told that this place is a Mukti Kshetram,so he had come to stay here.

Siddhar asked Raja if he has the capability &power to give anything that he asks for. Siddhar told King that he has power to do things even if he think of it.Siddhar asked King to ask whatever he wants & it would be provided, whatever these people had asked, they were granted.

Abhisheka Pandyan was shocked to receive such a reply from Siddhar,& he decided to test the power of this Siddhar. By that time, Raja saw a person in crowd having Sugarcane.

Raja took Sugarcane from that person.

Agastya Rishi is one of the incredible sages. The basic formula for creating electricity is based on the ancient principles of Rishi Agastya. The code composed by him covered the tremendous knowledge of subjects including a formula for making a battery.

In the code, Agastya has mentioned several theories to create clean energy thereby providing electricity with natural resources. Furthermore, similar theories are even followed by the advanced batteries we use today. Sage Agastya composed a book called 'Agastya Samhita'.

There is a lot of discussion about this book. Surprisingly, the sources related to power generation are found in this book. His text says :

संस्थाप्य मृण्मये पात्रे ताम्रपत्रं सुसंस्कृतम्‌। छादयेच्छिखिग्रीवेन चार्दाभि: काष्ठापांसुभि:॥ दस्तालोष्टो निधात्वय: पारदाच्छादितस्तत:।

संयोगाज्जायते तेजो मित्रावरुणसंज्ञितम्‌॥

Take an Earthen Pot and put the Copper sheet and Copper Sulphate in it, then put Wet saw dust in between and put Zinc and Mercury above it. The reaction of all these will lead to the emergence of Electricity from it. Agastya Samhita also

gives details of using electricity for electroplating. He
figured out the method of polishing copper, gold, and silver by battery, hence Agastya is also known as Kumbodbhav.

Lakshman also known as Gudakesh (who has won over sleep cycle)

Lakshman did not sleep for the entire period of the exile of 14 years in order to protect Shree Rama and Maa Sita.

Because of this he is called as Gudakesh.

When the goddess of sleep appeared before him at the first night of the their exile to the forests and when Rama and Sita were asleep, Lakshman requested the goddess to give him no sleep for the entire 14 years, so that he can be awake to protect his beloved brother and Sita.

The goddess was impressed by this and granted the boon on a condition that someone else have to bear his sleep. On Lakshman request the goddess visited his wife Urmila, sister of Sita. Urmila agreed to share her husband loss of sleep, and thus slept for entire 14 years.

Hence the reason she is not much in the story, but a strong reason for helping Laksman to kill Ravana son Meghnadh in the war against to Ravana as Meghnadh could be killed only by a man who have not slept for 14 years.

एक बार भगवान कृष्ण की पत्नी महारानी सत्यभामा को अपनी सुन्दरता का अभिमान हो चला।दरबार में सिंहासन पर बैठे महारानी सत्यभामा ने श्री कृष्ण से अनायास ही पूछ लिया,"स्वामी!आपने त्रेता युग में भगवान राम के रूप में अवतार लिया था तथा सीता आपकी पत्नी थीं।क्या वह मुझसे भी ज्यादा सुन्दर थी?"

श्री कृष्ण सत्यभामा के प्रश्न का उत्तर देते कि उससे पहले ही गरुड़ बोल पड़े,"प्रभु!क्या मुझसे भी ज्यादा तीव्र गति से कोई इस सम्पूर्ण जग में उड़ सकता है।"
ये सुन सुदर्शन से भी नहीं रहा गया और वह भी बोल पड़ा,"भगवन!मैनें बड़े-बड़े युद्धों में आपको विजयश्री दिलवाई है।

क्या संसार में मुझसे भी बड़ा कोई शक्तिशाली है।" तीनों की ये बातें सुन श्री कृष्ण मंद-मंद मुस्कुरा रहे थे और जान रहे थे कि इन सबमें अहंकार आ गया है जिसे नष्ट करना अति आवश्यक है।तब श्री कृष्ण ने उन तीनो से कहा,"मेरा एक परम भक्त है, हनुमान।तुम तीनों के प्रश्नों के उत्तर वही...

...भलीभांति दे पाएगा। हे गरुड़! तुम तो बड़ी तीव्र गति से उड़ते हो।तुम जाओ और हनुमान को ये कहकर बुला लाओ कि भगवान राम , माता सीता के साथ उनकी प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं। प्रभु राम और माता सीता का नाम सुनकर वे दौड़े-दौड़े चले आएंगे।" गरुड़ भगवान की आज्ञा लेकर हनुमानजी को बुलाने उड़ चले।

इधर श्री कृष्ण ने सत्यभामा से कहा कि देवी आप सीता के रूप में तैयार हो जाएं और स्वयं द्वारकाधीश ने श्री राम का रूप धारण कर लिया।फिर श्री कृष्ण ने सुदर्शन को आज्ञा देते हुए कहा कि तुम महल के प्रवेशद्वार पर पहरा दो।ज्ञात रहे कि मेरी आज्ञा के बिना कोई भी महल में प्रवेश न करने पाए ।

दधीचि ऋषि को मनाही थी कि वह अश्विनी कुमारों को किसी भी अवस्था में ब्रह्मविद्या का उपदेश नहीं दें। ये आदेश देवराज इन्द्र का था।वह नहीं चाहते थे कि उनके सिंहासन को प्रत्यक्ष या परोक्ष रुप से कोई भी खतरा हो।मगर जब अश्विनी कुमारों ने सहृदय प्रार्थना की तो महर्षि सहर्ष मान गए।

और उन्होनें ब्रह्मविद्या का ज्ञान अश्विनि कुमारों को दे दिया। गुप्तचरों के माध्यम से जब खबर इन्द्रदेव तक पहुंची तो वे क्रोध में खड़ग ले कर गए और महर्षि दधीचि का सर धड़ से अलग कर दिया।मगर अश्विनी कुमार भी कहां चुप बैठने वाले थे।उन्होने तुरंत एक अश्व का सिर महर्षि के धड़ पे...

...प्रत्यारोपित कर उन्हें जीवित रख लिया।उस दिन के पश्चात महर्षि दधीचि अश्वशिरा भी कहलाए जाने लगे।अब आगे सुनिये की किस प्रकार महर्षि दधीचि का सर काटने वाले इन्द्र कैसे अपनी रक्षा हेतु उनके आगे गिड़गिड़ाए ।

एक बार देवराज इन्द्र अपनी सभा में बैठे थे, तो उन्हे खुद पर अभिमान हो आया।

वे सोचने लगे कि हम तीनों लोकों के स्वामी हैं। ब्राह्मण हमें यज्ञ में आहुति देते हैं और हमारी उपासना करते हैं। फिर हम सामान्य ब्राह्मण बृहस्पति से क्यों डरते हैं ?उनके आने पर क्यों खड़े हो जाते हैं?वे तो हमारी जीविका से पलते हैं। देवर्षि बृहस्पति देवताओं के गुरु थे।

अभिमान के कारण ऋषि बृहस्पति के पधारने पर न तो इन्द्र ही खड़े हुए और न ही अन्य देवों को खड़े होने दिया।देवगुरु बृहस्पति इन्द्र का ये कठोर दुर्व्यवहार देख कर चुप चाप वहां से लौट गए।कुछ देर पश्चात जब देवराज का मद उतरा तो उन्हे अपनी गलती का एहसास हुआ।

Chirakkadavu Mahadeva Kshetram, is located in Kottayam district. Mahadeva is Swayambhu here. Chirakkadavu Mahadevan is considered as father of Sabarimala Ayyappa swamy, therefore people who travel to Sabarimala, 👇

worship here too. Kulam(chira in malayalam) is located in the eastern side of this Kshetram thus Temple is called Chirakkadavu.

Sthala Puranam says that, there once lived a King who was a great Shiva bhaktha. It is believed that before his death he built an Ashram near

bilwa tree which is near to this temple. He did tapasya here and hence came to be known as Bilwa Maharishi ( Kuwala Maharishi). Paramashiva appeared in his dream during his tapasya and thus attained Mukthi. Balikkalu of the temple is very big.

The Velakali, a dance form is conducted here by children between the age of five and twenty dressed up as warriors holding swords. People who face delay in marriage prays here to remove all obstacles.

🌺कैसे बने गरुड़ भगवान विष्णु के वाहन और क्यों दो भागों में फटी होती है नागों की जिह्वा🌺

महर्षि कश्यप की तेरह पत्नियां थीं।लेकिन विनता व कद्रु नामक अपनी दो पत्नियों से उन्हे विशेष लगाव था।एक दिन महर्षि आनन्दभाव में बैठे थे कि तभी वे दोनों उनके समीप आकर उनके पैर दबाने लगी।

प्रसन्न होकर महर्षि कश्यप बोले,"मुझे तुम दोनों से विशेष लगाव है, इसलिए यदि तुम्हारी कोई विशेष इच्छा हो तो मुझे बताओ। मैं उसे अवश्य पूरा करूंगा ।"

कद्रू बोली,"स्वामी! मेरी इच्छा है कि मैं हज़ार पुत्रों की मां बनूंगी।"
विनता बोली,"स्वामी! मुझे केवल एक पुत्र की मां बनना है जो इतना बलवान हो की कद्रू के हज़ार पुत्रों पर भारी पड़े।"
महर्षि बोले,"शीघ्र ही मैं यज्ञ करूंगा और यज्ञ के उपरांत तुम दोनो की इच्छाएं अवश्य पूर्ण होंगी"।

महर्षि ने यज्ञ किया,विनता व कद्रू को आशीर्वाद देकर तपस्या करने चले गए। कुछ काल पश्चात कद्रू ने हज़ार अंडों से काले सर्पों को जन्म दिया व विनता ने एक अंडे से तेजस्वी बालक को जन्म दिया जिसका नाम गरूड़ रखा।जैसे जैसे समय बीता गरुड़ बलवान होता गया और कद्रू के पुत्रों पर भारी पड़ने लगा

परिणामस्वरूप दिन प्रतिदिन कद्रू व विनता के सम्बंधों में कटुता बढ़ती गयी।एकदिन जब दोनो भ्रमण कर रहीं थी तब कद्रू ने दूर खड़े सफेद घोड़े को देख कर कहा,"बता सकती हो विनता!दूर खड़ा वो घोड़ा किस रंग का है?"
विनता बोली,"सफेद रंग का"।
तो कद्रू बोली,"शर्त लगाती हो? इसकी पूँछ तो काली है"।

Set of Sanskrit Shlokas resembling serpent shape was written and composed by Shri adhi Shankara acharya by praying to Bhagavan Karthikeya at a place called tiruchendur in tamilnadu

- Shri Adi Sankara composed this hymn of 33 verses, in the peculiar Bhujanga metre, noted for its sinuous movement like that of a serpent.

-The Shloka is full of piety, spiritual exaltation and sung when Shri adishankara himself was undergoing life threatening illness

Shloka verses include the disease name itself in it

"When all my senses have calmed down, When I have lost my intelligence,
When I am not capable of any movement, When my throat is full of phlegm..."

"When my body is shivering due to fear, And when my soul is preparing to depart,
Without any one to help me, Oh Lord of mercy, please come fast,
For I want to be in thine presence, Lord Guha"

Sthala Puranam says that,  Paramshiva appeared  as Andakasura samhara murthy to defeat Andakasura. Andakasura obtained a wish from Brahma Deva that he could be killed only if he misbehave with a women who is like his own mother.

Andaka conquered Indraloka, Naagaloka with his powers. One day, he came near Parvathi Devi and started to misbehave disturb her, who is treated as the mother for the whole world. Paramashiva appeared as samhara murthy and killed Andakasura. It is believed that

Periyanai Ganapathi sannidhi of this temple is worshipped by Avvaiyar. Annual festival is celebrated on Masi Magham ( February to March). Shivaratri is very famous here.

SRI MAHABALESHWARA SWAMI, GOKARNA (KAR)

Dedicated to Shiva, as Mahabaleshwar.
This place is called Dakshin Kashi and considered as one of the seven Mukti Sthala (place of salvation) in Karnataka.
Devotees perform the last rites of their deceased relatives here.

Once, as a boon to Ravana for his penance, Shiva gave his Atmalinga to him. The only condition was that the atmalinga should not be kept anywhere on the way to Lanka.
On the way, Ravana stopped for sandhya pooja and for this, he needed to put the atmalinga down.

Ganesha appeared disguised as a child before Ravana and offered help. When Ravana went away, Ganesha put the atmalinga down on the ground.
On coming back, Ravana tried to pull the lingam but failed. Due to pulling, it’s shape became like cow’s ear (hence called gokarna).

In anger, Ravana threw the case of linga which fell at Sajjeshwar, lid fell at Guneshwara, thread winding the linga fell at Dhareshwara and cloth fell at Murudeshwar.
As he addressed the lingam as ‘Mahabala’(the strongest), so Shiva came to be called Mahabaleshwar.
