Lakshman also known as Gudakesh (who has won over sleep cycle)

Lakshman did not sleep for the entire period of the exile of 14 years in order to protect Shree Rama and Maa Sita.

Because of this he is called as Gudakesh.

𝑩𝑯𝑨𝑮𝑾𝑨𝑨𝑵 𝑹𝑨𝑴'𝑺 𝑺𝑬𝑪𝑹𝑬𝑻 𝑵𝑨𝑴𝑬 𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑹𝑰𝑵𝑮

Sita Maa was now sobing in the Ashok vatika. She forgot about Bhagwan Ram as She was only thinking about death. This moment to Hanumanji felt like years.

कपि करि हृदयँ बिचार दीन्हि मुद्रिका डारि तब।
जनु असोक अंगार दीन्ह हरषि उठि कर गहेउ॥

Hanumanji bowed to Sitaji in His mind and dropped Bhagwan Ram’s ring. Sitaji sprang up with joy and took it in Her hand as though the Ashok tree had thrown a spark.

Sitaji recognised the ring with the name Ram engraved on it. She now remembered Ram and forgot death. She was in a dilemma. My Swamy's ring here? How? The Bhagwan is invincible so no one can attain this ring by conquering Him nor can it be re-made deceitfully.

At that time, Hanumanji began narrating Shri Ram Katha.

रामचंद्र गुन बरनैं लागा। सुनतहिं सीता कर दुख भागा॥
लागीं सुनैं श्रवन मन लाई। आदिहु तें सब कथा सुनाई

When Hanumanji narrates a katha, the listener’s sorrows leave immediately. Sitaji’s sadness disappeared.

She began to listen to the katha intently. When Hanumanji finished, Sitaji asked, “𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒂 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒂 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇?

It is said that the one who bears the dust thrown from the hoof of Gaumata on his head, as if taking a bath in the water of the teerth sthalam and getting rid of all sins.

Ved and all other Hindu scriptures venerate the cow. The Vedic dictionary, Nighantu, gives amongst other synonyms of 'Gau' [ or cow] the words 'Aghnya', 'Ahi', and 'Aditi'.

Yaska the vedic decoder and commentator on Nighantu, defines these as-

Aghnya —— the one that ought not to be killed
Ahi —— the one that must not be slaughtered.
Aditi —— the one that ought not to be cut into pieces.

These three names of cow signify that this is an animal which should not to be put to tortures. These words appear frequently throughout the Veda in context of the cow.

But in due course the falsehood of killing cows spread far and wide and they became even more deep rooted when western scholars with their half baked knowledge of Sanskrit transliterated these interpretations of commentaries of Sayanacharya ,

North, South, North-East, South-East, North-West, South-West, Zenith & Nadir) are 10

-Rudras रुद्र: (Nirriti, Shambhu, Aparajita, Mrigavyadha, Kapardi, Dahana, Khara, Ahirabradhya, Kapali, Pingala & Senani are 11

-12 Adityas (Vishnu, Aryama, Indra, Varuna, Twasta,

Dhata, Bhaga, Switra, Vivaswaan, Anshuman, Mitra & Poosha) are 12.

Wonderful clock, which teaches us a lot.

The mesmerizing Shri Anantha Padmanabhaswamy temple is located in the East fort at Pazhavangadi of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. This is the temple of Bhagwan Shri Vishnu which is an ancient structure that was even visited by Balarama, according to Srimad Bhagavatam. 1/n

This temple also has references in Puranas like Skanda Purana and Padma Purana. According to the ancient scriptures, it was believed to be built over 5000 years ago but has no perfect pieces of evidence. (2/14)

There is a holy tank called Padma Theerdham meaning lotus spring near the temple.

The History Behind This Temple
There used to be a great Vishnu devotee called as Divakar Muni at Aanarthadesa who performed his daily rituals and pujas in a perfect manner without fail. One day, (4/14)

the Muni saw a little boy near his ashram and got so fascinated that he requested the boy to stay with him. The boy agreed on a condition that he should never be insulted. The Muni used to tolerate the childish acts of this boy with patience. (5/14)

Shri Hanuman, the cosmic form of energy, strength, intellect and devotion is always seen adorned with sindoor all his body.
But, behind this sindoori colour is a beautiful story which depicts the devotion of Hanuman for Shri Ram.

As Sita Mata adorned herself, she applied sindoor to her forehead. Inquisitive Hanuman observed this action and asked her the reason for doing so. She smiled and replied that by applying sindoor, she ensured a long life for her husband Shri Ram.

The more sindoor she applied, the longer Shri Ram's life would be.
Devoted Hanuman was excited to hear this. Because of his love for Shri Ram, he immediately went forward and smeared his entire body with sindoor, in an effort to ensure Rama’s immortality.

Shri Ram and Sita Mata saw that Hanuman was completly covered in sindoor from head to toe and was curious as to know why.
Hanumanji related his conversation with Sita Mata and thought that if a little pinch of sindoor could do so much for his Swamy,

imagine the protection if Hanuman covered his entire body with it.

Sita Mata, moved by the gesture, explained to Hanuman that applying sindoor was a tradition for married women. Shri Ram, too, was deeply touched by his bhakta's devotion.

Stories of Guruvayurappan
Shri Krishna Leela

This is a beautiful story of Guruvayurappan. Once there lived in Guruvayur a poor family. Kitta, his wife & kids were struggling for their daily needs. With only a coconut tree in house, he earned a living by selling coconuts.

Kitta was from a low caste family. He was a great devotee of Guruvayurappan. Everyday before going to work he always prayed infront of a picture of Guruvayurappan in his house. His only wish was to worship at Guruvayur & have annadanam in temple. But he was not allowed there

It was Utsavam time in Guruvayur. From far behind kitta and family worshipped Guruvayurappan. Annadanam was given daily and no one was left empty stomach. Only Kitta didn't receive. That night, it was only Kitta's family who was sleeping without food. After temple nada closed

Shri Krishna, dressed himself as a Brahmin went to temple Kitchen. He packed food and went directly to kitta's house. Reaching Kitta's house, Shri Krishna told he was sent by a cook of Guruvayur temple and gave them the food he packed. Kitta and family was very happy seeing food.

When Kitta finished his food, Brahmin asked it will be better if he get a tender coconut( karikku)to drink. Kitta climbed the tree and gave all coconuts to him. After having 1 tender coconut, the Brahmin asked to bring remaining coconuts to Guruvayur temple the next day.

'Treasure Gods' - Sangha Nidhi' and 'Padma Nidhi', Tirumala, Tirupati.

These are the two guards guarding the Wealth and Treasure of Lord Sri Venkateswara.

They are representatives of two treasures of Kubera, the God of Wealth.

One guard who is holding shangam (conch) on both the hands is known as Shanka Nidhi ('nidhi' means wealth).

On the other side, the guard who is holding Lotus flowers on both the hands is known as Padma nidhi.

Shangu is from the ocean which includes all types of wealth like pearls and corals.

Why shagam in his hand? Because shangam only gives the sound of 'omkaram'.

'Padmam' is the symbol of water sources in land like river, lakes, tanks etc. which is very important for all living beings.

As per the tradition, these guards are installed at the third entrance of the temple.

One enters the holy shrine after saluting the first protection threshold - Sankha Nidhi and Padma Nidhi.

The Chanting of following names of Bhagwan Vishnu, immensely helps us in overcoming the obstacles in our daily life.
These names are from Sri Vishnu Sahasranama!
