The brother's situation was quite pathetic
No job, no money, nothing to show for his almost forty years of existence
He said he once had a job
and even bought a car
But when the wind and the waves came, he sold all he could to keep body and soul together
After about three months after meeting the brother
His younger sister came to the office to see him
She was a software engineer working with a blue-chip company abroad
Just as he was seeing his sister off
The brother arrived with a friend
The brother said he had a visitor from out of state and wanted to ensure that his visitor met his new friend in Christ
He knew what the brother wanted to do
Yet, he smiled and said hello and shook hands with
the friend from out of state
Then he went on to introduce his sister to the two visitors
His sister smiled and everybody got talking
She said she was into IT and the brother said "Oh, I studied computer science too"

The entire chat was for about five minutes
His sister left
As soon as his sister was gone the brother called him aside and said "I don't have anything at home to entertain my guest. he came all the way from the north. That's why i stylishly dragged him here. Please help us in whatever way you can.
It was exactly what he suspected the
brother came to do
The brother had become a leech
Instead of getting a job and living his life to the best of his potential, he had become one of those people who live off the magnanimity of others
One of those people whose sob stories never end
He didn't complain
He took the
brother and his friend to an eatery and bought them lunch
After lunch, he transferred some money into the brother's account
The brother and his friend later departed in a Uber he paid for
For at least one day every week, the brother would come to say hello and return home with
money and other provisions that would last him for the week
At a point, the brother came to him and said he took in an entire family that were ejected in his neighborhood and would need to feed them
That was when he said No
He told the brother it is good to be benevolent but not
when you are begging
You cannot take in a friend or a family of six and expect me to pay for their welfare
I have my own responsibilities
I am a married man with children
I have a car loan and other loans to service
It was the first time in over a year of their meeting that he
turned the brother down

He couldn't believe the bile and the gall in the brother's voice
A stranger who didn't know the true situation of things would actually think he was a
wicked person.
He told himself the emotional blackmail thing has to stop
The friendship was one-sided
He as getting absolutely nothing out of it while the blackmailer got everything
He steeled his heart and refused to part with a penny
Eventually, after much ado, his friend left
After that day the brother stopped the weekly visit
He felt guilty after some weeks and tried calling the brother
He realized the brother had blocked him on all the communication platforms
He didn't know their fight was that venomous
The discovery left him feeling terrible
It was
shocking that he became the enemy of this "stranger" after having fed and clothed him for a year
Does he not have the right to say no?
He told himself to be more careful with stray cats next time and forgot about it
Two days later, the brother resurfaced at his office
This time
the brother was well dressed and was flaunting a car key
The brother said he came to say Thank you and share testimonies of God's faithfulness
The brother took him to the brand new car he drove down to his office
The brother told him God sent someone from abroad to him a few days
after they had the disagreement and the person had been taking good care of him
He thanked God for the brother
They had a hearty meal together and even took pictures
Three weeks later, his mother sent him a voice note that he should reach out immediately
He called his mother

mother told him it was about her younger sister
He asked her mother what was wrong
His mother said the young man she was dating had swindled her and broken off the engagement
He told his mother he didn't know his sister was in a relationship
His mother shook her head in disbelief
His mother took out her phone and showed him pictures
It was his picture and that of the brother taken three weeks before
His mother said the brother was his sister's boyfriend
What!
He had no idea the two of them were acquainted
He placed a call to his sister
His sister said the
brother searched for her on Facebook and leveraged on his friendship with her brother to chat her up
They became friends and all until they started talking about a relationship
She said he came up with the idea of opening outlets for selling phones in Nigeria
She works in the
technology industry and can pull some strings to get products down to the brother at home
She said the brother drew up the plan and said he needed fifteen million Naira to get a space and furnish it in one of the malls
She sent him the money
He got the space and told her to send
the goods
At that point, she developed cold feet and told him she couldn't go on unless her family members were aware of what she was doing
The goods she was buying would cost her almost a hundred thousand dollars
She had already sent the brother forty thousand dollars for space
She said the next thing she saw was their picture
The one he took with the brother when he came to his office three weeks before then
The brother told her he had gone to discuss their relationship with him and they had agreed that they needed a year for the business to be
well established before picking a date for the introduction and marriage
She said she was happy with the progress and went ahead to send the goods
The goods got to Nigeria two days before that day and the brother promptly broke up with her and blocked her across all the platforms
He told his sister he had no idea anything that huge was going on
His sister had always been a secretive person who doesn't want people in her business
That was the weakness the brother capitalized upon
He told his sister all was not lost
He called a few friends
He was linked wit
the anti-fraud unit arm of the police
That evening, the brother was picked up at the local airport in Abuja
He had purchased a ticket to travel to Ghana and would have possibly found his way to Europe from Ghana.
He had sold all the goods his sister sent to a businessman for
seventy thousand dollars and didn't really rent a space in a mall.
The bulk of the money meant to get a space in the mall were still with him
In all, his sister lost about twenty-thousand dollars
They were able to recover the rest
As for the brother, he was still in jail as the
case was still being heard
The judge set his bail at five million Naira bit he had nobody to post bail for him
Not one friend or relative
He would have withdrawn the case and settle it out of court but he felt it would be ungodly to let such a criminal loose in the society

He was rich
He was the kind of person she would like to relate with on more than a transactional basis
He was a friend worth having but they had nothing in common
There was no basis for

any familiarity
She cleared her goods and went to return the loan two weeks later
He thanked her for keeping her word and that was it
She changed her church the following week
She wanted to be around him

Their father wasn't particular about having a son but their mother insisted she must have a son
She said she had seen a vision when she was a teenager that she gave birth to a male child and was even given the baby's name
She married quite

early, so she had some time to relax after the fifth girl was born
They were living at a "face me I face you" apartment in Eleyele at the time

She was a typist
They both attend a uniform wearing church where all forms of manifestations were the

After she had the fifth girl, she went to church to pray one evening, asking God about the vision she had and why it had not come to pass
She really wanted to have only four children but she didn't want to ignore the vision because she was convinced that male child could be

God's purpose for her life
She told herself if having that male child was not important God wouldn't show his birth and naming to her in a vision
A prophetess came to her while she was praying
The prophetess said "Wait for five harvest ceremonies, after the fifth harvest you will

have this boy
That was exactly what happened
She got pregnant five years later and delivered the boy a few months before the sixth harvest
Her last girl was five years and ten months older than the boy
She named him Imole (Light)
Coping with six children was very difficult

He was a cheat
The first time she discovered he was cheating on her was two weeks to their wedding
She was four months pregnant and had woken up that morning with the intention of paying him a surprise visit at his crib in Magodo
He was still sharing a flat with three of his

The apartment was right behind the main house and the gate was almost always locked

She found her feet trembling and her knees buckling
It was a terrible experience
The lady saw her first and shrunk from him in shock

Her first thought was to walk away and not to look back, she didn't see any other sensible option

In Genesis 15, right after God sealed his covenant with Abraham, God told him his descendants will spend 400 years in Egypt
God also promised that he would bring the descendants of Abraham out of Egypt with a mighty hand
Abraham didn't argue with God, he accepted God's verdict as

law
But he was smart
He told Isaac to keep far away from Egypt
As a young man, Abraham and Sarah had gone to Egypt in Genesis 12:8-13:2 to avoid the devastating effect of a famine
When they were about to get to Egypt, Abraham pleaded with Sarah to introduce herself as his sister

and not as his wife because of her beauty
(This was a half-truth but the intention was self-preservation and not faith)
When Pharaoh was told of Sarah's beauty, he immediately sent his servants to go and bring Sarah to his palace

(Collecting beauty is an obligation of royalty)

Abraham had no say in the matter
Pharaoh paid him Sarah's dowry and he collected it
Pharaoh became the legal husband of Sarah
Abraham prayed that God would somehow step into the matter
God did.
Pharaoh and his household were afflicted by a strange disease
Pharaoh called for his

The first time he heard that his wife was cheating on him
He cried all the way from Atlanta to Nigeria
He saw a message from his mother
The message said one of the instrumentalists in his church went to report himself to some elders in the church for disciplinary action because

had been engaging in sexual immorality.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the person he was having sexual relations with was the pastor's wife
The elders didn't know how to go about it
Some said the instrumentalist was framing the pastor's wife in order to bring down

the pastor's ministry and tear his family apart
Others said the pastor's wife should be invited to face the elders and defend the allegations
it was a political issue
Had it been any other person, they would have acted swiftly but the pastor's wife was off-limits, even for the

elders
So they took the case to his mother and his mother sent him a message asking for directions
The message was not such a shock to him
His wife had been threatening that she would ruin his ministry for several months if he does not quit the ministry and return to his medical

practice
He had told her what she was asking him to do was next to impossible
He knew from the age of twelve what his calling was in ministry
He preached his first sermon at a village crusade at the age of fifteen
He got his B. TH degree at the age of twenty before proceeding to

I’m going to tell you a story. And hold tight, because this is an emotional one.

In 2013, Canongate republished three novels that had fallen out of print: William McIlvanney’s Glasgow-set Laidlaw trilogy, first published between 1977 and 1991.

It’s hard to overstate the influence these books had had on crime writing, but he was responsible for many of the tropes we now take for granted in that genre. @Beathhigh, @valmcdermid, @cbrookmyre, @MarkBillingham, @DameDeniseMina and others all cite him as a major inspiration.

In fact, @Beathhigh tells a lovely story about coming to one of Willie’s events in the 80s, and telling him he planned to write detective fiction like Laidlaw, but set in Edinburgh. He still has his book, inscribed “Good luck with the Edinburgh Laidlaw” and signed by Willie.

McIlvanney wasn’t just revered for his writing; he was also known for his humour, his graciousness, and his charm. I was lucky enough to work with him, and attest to the fact he was a proper old-school gentleman. I mean, just look at this photo. How could you not love him?

How I came to play the bagpipes

A story... and a thread

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Melodie. She liked music. In fact, she liked music so much that she made it her job! She connected with many people because of her abilities, and had many opportunities to obtain, play with, and try out many different instruments.

When Melodie was very young, she began collecting musical instruments. A flute here, a clarinet there, six trombones here, an accordion there, and the list goes on and on. As she got older, her collection grew. She got married, and her husband had his own collection as well.

Melodie developed many unlikely friends. Her personality was such that she could make friends with and talk to almost anyone. One day she made friends with a boy who played the bagpipes. He told her many wonderful stories of highland games and competitions. This did two things,

First of all, it made Melodie question whether or not the "mutt" of her father's heritage was at all Scottish in origin, but it also made her consider what playing the bagpipes must be like. Her studies led her to search for her genealogy.

Why Gain/loss ratio is important that the batting average
• More than the Win Loss ratio check the total Gain /loss ratio
• If your avg loss is 1% and avg gain is +5% then even if you are losing in 7 positions and winning in 3 out of 10 still you will be net profitable

Treat Trading as a business:
• Stick to a single strategy. Eg: A restaurateur usually wouldn’t be changing his recipe on a daily basis
• Mitesh Sir only works on BO or BD strategy, as he is a versatile trader

• Any trader should atleast experience 3 scenarios i.e. bull, bear & consolidation
• Target 4% per month i.e. 48% p.a.
• Option buying requires skill, everyday there wont be huge momentum, so buying options won’t yield good results, but high chances of falling into a bad habit

Stock Selection:
• In F&O segment there are ~150 stocks
• Not everyday all stocks will move
• Only 5-7 stocks move upside or downside
• Focus only these momentum stocks
• Check which one is moving
• Range BO/BD never disappoints. BO/BD from a rectangle (consolidation)

So it's now October 10, 2018 and....Rod Rosenstein is STILL not fired.

He's STILL in charge of the Mueller investigation.

He's STILL refusing to hand over the McCabe memos.

He's STILL holding up the declassification of the #SpyGate documents & their release to the public.

I love a good cover story.......

The guy had a face-to-face with El Grande Trumpo himself on Air Force One just 2 days ago. Inside just about the most secure SCIF in the world.

And Trump came out of AF1 and gave ol' Rod a big thumbs up!

And so we're right back to 'that dirty rat Rosenstein!' 2 days later.

At this point it's clear some members of Congress are either in on this and helping the cover story or they haven't got a clue and are out in the cold.

Note the conflicting stories about 'Rosenstein cancelled meeting with Congress on Oct 11!"

First, rumors surfaced of a scheduled meeting on Oct. 11 between Rosenstein & members of Congress, and Rosenstein just cancelled it.
