Horn Candlestick Pattern

• Horn Bottom - Bullish
• Horn Top - Bearish

A horn pattern is a sudden spike in stock price.

The pattern looks like two horns of a bull or the letter "H"

It’s a 3 candlestick pattern.

• Horn Bottom

Horn Bottom occurs during downtrend with 2 candles which shows resemblance to horns implying that bears have lost ground as they have reached lower price now its bulls turn to lead the market

Long trades occurs when the script breaks the high of 2nd horn candle.

The area where horn bottom occured becomes a strong support zone

• Horn Top

Horn Top occurs during uptrend with 2 candles which shows resemblance to horns implying that bulls have lost ground as they have reached higher price now its bears turn to lead the market

Short selling occurs when the script breaks the low of 2nd horn candle

Currently, only 9% Indians are served by private discoms (Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi).

AT&C loss for Delhi has declined from 55% in 2002 to 9% in 2020 after power distribution was taken over by three private licensees. Makes a strong case for broader delicensing of discoms.

What are discoms?

The Power value chain:
Raw material (Coal, Fuel) --> Generation --> Transmission --> Distribution --> Consumption

In this chain, Distribution companies (or discoms) have been the weakest link for last 3 decades.

(2/n) Stock trading above 200 and 50 DMA

Buy high to gain higher. CMP above 50 Day Moving Average (DMA) and 50 DMA above 200 DMA signifies the stock to be in an uptrend. This is an uncompromisable rule. @ZerodhaVarsity @zerodhaonline

(3/n) Volume

Volume is the key factor. The stock should show clear signs of accumulation. Generally, accumulation should happen over multiple periods of time. Attached image in the case of #BALAMINES can be used as an eg.

A stock should be bought either when it’s in stage 2 or when it’s forming a base after a surge. Surge is an upward move in a stock. The best trades are those when a huge surge happens in a very short time frame. Eg #FILATEX

After a good surge, a stock generally consolidates. This means the stock is in its resting period and will trade only in a range. This phase will be coupled with volume dry up. Tight range with low volumes are the best setups. @ZerodhaVarsity

This poses a serious question on the risks associated with breakout.

Popularity behind the breakout is the fact that it doesnt need any skills to spot it, even a 90% blind man can spot it in any chart, because the price just sticks out from the rest by a very big margin
