#Thread. Hindus are the real enemies of fellow Hindus.

As BJP and Sanghis projecting Muslims and Christians aren't the enemies of Hindus, the Hindus are the enemies of Hindus and Hinduism.

Christians and Muslims have not barred us from education. Christians and Muslims have not banned us from entering temples.
Christians and Muslims are not made us untouchables. Neither of them made our women joginis, devadasis.
Christians and Muslims hadn't poured molten lead in our ears for reading or hearing Vedas. Christians and Muslims have not been fighting against our reservations.
Christians and Muslims are not demanding against SC-ST preventions of atrocities act.

None of them looted our lands in the name of caste.
Neither Muslims nor Christians killing our boys in the name of caste. Christians and Muslims are not controlling the politics and wealth of India.
They are not enjoying the benefits in education and employment more than their population.
Dear brahminised Dalit Shudras do not fall prey for BJP communal politics. Only the minority Hindus are the real enemies of fellow majority 80% Hindus, not the Christians and Muslims.
Don't forget what Ambedkar had said, to say in his words. “Brahminism is the poison which has spoiled Hinduism. You will succeed in saving Hinduism if you will kill Brahminism."

If you have a spiritual practice, this would be a good time to double down on it.

If you don’t have a spiritual practice, this wouldn’t be the worst time to start one.

Thread on why

Do yr spiritual practice. Even when you don't feel like it.

“Hardly does our head begin to ache than we stop going to choir, which won’t kill us either. We stay away 1 day bc our head ached, another bc it was just now aching & 3 more so that it won’t ache again.” Teresa of Avila

Ok: a spiritual practice. Something that you do regularly, and if you do it with the right intention, can transform your relationship to yourself, other people, the world and your place in it and (if this resonates with you) the divine.

Prayer. Meditation. But also: making art. Walks in nature. Going running, for some people. I wrote a whole entire book on parenting as a spiritual practice. Intention matters.

You don’t have to be religious to have one.
