Richard Nixon's administration included:
H.W. Bush- who became director of the CIA for one year in 1976
He later became VP and POTUS
Invaded Panama and started the Gulf War

 Dick Cheney was Nixon's chief of staff, WY Rep. in House of Representatives 1978-1989 when he became HW Bush's Sec. of Def. during the invasion of Panama and Gulf War. He was on the board of Halliburton from 1995-2000 and went on to be VP for GW Bush leading the war on Iraq.
Donald Rumsfeld was a special advisor to President Nixon and became Pres. Ford's chief of staff when Dick Cheney became Sec. of Defense.
When Ford lost he became CEO of Searle pharma and later 1997-2001 Gilead pharma. He was then Sec. of Defense of GW Bush.
It was Rumsfeld's claims of a chemical weapons cache that led to another war, which was headed by his friend and the VP Dick Cheney. He was also a fan of torture and partially responsible for the hiring of mercenaries from Blackwater.
Privatizing prisons started in 1980 and was largely Republican policy. Blackwater didn't just train mercenaries, they also train prison guards and other law enforcement personnel. They do not train deescalation.

or Academi (formerly Blackwater) since 2011.

William Barr was employed by the CIA from 1973-1977 which includes the single year HW Bush was director.
William Barr was part of the DoJ during HW Bush's administration leading the Office of Legal Council which signed off...
on the invasion of Panama. He was instrumental in obtaining six pardons from HW Bush for officials involved in the Iran-Contra Affair which Reagan/Bush administration swapped drugs for guns.

He worked for several telecommunications companies from 1994-2008 becoming very wealthy
achieving his primary objective during his executive role (1994-2008) was to deregulate telecomm by messing with FCC rules. It worked. his efforts coincided with new wiretapping laws passed by Republicans like the Patriot Act.
Let's not forget about the incredible Dan Quayle who can't spell potato. The former Senator from Indiana who became VP for HW Bush during the Iran-Contra scandals and invasion of Panama. His private equity firm owns the company that made the Bushmaster AR 15.
Newt Gingrich was the original master of obstruction from the House. He voted against the Civil Rights restoration Act in 1987 to uphold Reagan's veto. He was Speaker 1995-1999. He married three times, cheating on his 2nd wife while she had cancer. The House ethics committee...
forced him to resign after 84 ethics charges and recklessly breaking House rules.
The Dennis Hastert became Speaker. He was Speaker from 1999-2007. He was indicted and imprisoned for sexually abusing boys for YEARS.
Retiring Senator Lamar Alexander picked a pedophile chief of staff Ryan Loskarn killed himself after being indicted for possessing and distributing child porn.
He was formerly Communications director for Senator Marsha Blackburn.
Let's not forget about former Representative Mark Foley who sent pornographic messages to male teenage congressional pages. His replacement, Tim Mahoney, hired his mistress on his staff and then fired her.
The of course there's former Senator Larry Craig who was arrested for trying to get sex in an airport bathroom.
So, if we're going to talk about #corruption and a complete absence of #ethics Republicans are number one. You lost because you all really are THE WORST.
Breaking THE most laws, committing THE maximum number of crimes, having THE most extra-martial affairs,
and hiring THE biggest perverts.

The epidemic of kiddie fiddlers in your party SHOULD concern you. I know it doesn't because you just pass them around for a promotion.

He was the landlord of Tilpat (Faridabad)

Gokula's father Madu Singh and his uncle Uday Singh was a rebellion who fought against Shahjahan in the support of Nandaram Jat. Shahjahan appoint many commanders against them.

1650, Madu Singh was mortally wounded fighting Mughal forces led by Raja Jai Singh (Jaipur).

Then Madu Singh was successed by his song Sindhuraj who also died in 1651 fighting Mughals. then Uncle Uday Singh took command of the family

And Nandaram's rebellion also ended by 1660 and after that Aurangzeb appoint Abul Nabi (Ghazi) as Fauzdar of Mathura and Agra.

1660, Abul Nabi's prime duty is to demolish temples and lay the foundation of mosque on the site of destroyed temples as he was a Ghazi.

In 1966 he target the famous krishna temple Keshav Rai and another one is Giriraj temple

After 1660 almost all revolutionary activities were stopped in Koil but some rebels were active in Agra, sarkar.

The pargana (Sadabad) become the core centre of revolt and the whole command was taken by Gokula Jat.

The revolt took extreme after 1666 under Gokula.

The Eisenhower Decision Matrix is a visualization tool that forces you to differentiate between the urgent and the important.

It allows you to prioritize your time accordingly and unlock new productivity and growth.

Let's cover the basics of how it works...

First, we have to define "urgent" and "important."

An "urgent" task is one that requires immediate, focused attention.

An "important" task is one that promotes or furthers your long-term values, goals, or principles.

Remember: Tasks can be both urgent and important.

A Thanksgiving story to warm your pluralistic hearts:

It was the early 1990s, the days before Washington DC had meters in taxis. A famine was raging in Somalia. And I was working in my first job out of college: a brief stint working for an organization that focused on the Middle East peace process.

I was heading to my parents’ house. I was standing in front of a mailbox near my office. I was holding a stack of papers with Hebrew writing on them. I hailed a cab.

I was aware that on the mailbox behind me was a large sign from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals with an image of a turkey and the words: “Thanksgiving is Murder on Turkeys.”

It was the period right around Thanksgiving.

A cab pulled up, and I got in the front seat—because in the days before metered cabs in DC, drivers were allowed to pick up more than one fare, and someone else was already occupying the back seat.

In this thread, I will argue that the conventional wisdom that Shannon's information theory is all about syntax and not about semantics stems from superficial reading. On the contrary, even his 1948 BSTJ paper is already concerned with syntax, semantics, *and* pragmatics. 1/14

Of course, it does not help matters that Shannon himself states that "semantic aspects of communication are irrelevant to the engineering problem" of communication on the first page of his paper. But you have to read the entire paper, not just the first page. 2/14

Let's first pin down the notions of syntax, semantics, and pragmatics in the sense of Charles Morris: syntax is about relation of symbols to other symbols, semantics is about their relation to objects, and pragmatics is about their relation to subjects. 3/14

Let's start with pragmatics. The full formulation of Shannon's theory is concerned with the problem of reliable communication of some state of the world over a noisy medium, subject to a fidelity criterion. This is an operationalist, pragmatist concern. 4/14

We may envision the problem where we take an action U contingent on the state of the world X and incur the cost c(X,U). We cannot access the state of the world directly, but must mediate the act of selecting the action through transmission of symbols over a noisy channel. 5/14

Would you like to live in a UFO? Well in 1968 you could, thanks to Finnish architect Matti Suuronen. He created the Futuro House and for a while it was a worldwide sensation!

Let's take a look around...


The Futuro was a round prefabricated house initially designed as a ski chalet. Quick to build and easy to heat it reflected the optimism of the times.


Inside the spacious Futuro were all the 1960s mod cons: a central cooker/heater, reclining chairs, funky furniture and cool, crisp lines. Did it have shagpile carpets? Of course it did!


The Futuro was made of fibreglass- reinforced polyester and was light enough to be towed to any location. You literally moved house.


But its futuristic design caused an immediate backlash: Futuro houses were banned from many municipalities by zoning regulations because they didn't 'blend in' with the environment. Production was halted in the mid 1970s.

A long but must read thread. Udaybhan Rathore and myth making in Maratha history: An analysis. This is the thread on Udaybhan Rathore, who he was and how over the time period, his life was portrayed in maratha chronicles and pseudo history. (1/n)

Udaybhan rathore was the head of Bhinai thikana (84 villages) in Ajmer. He was the direct descendant of the famous Rao Chandrasen, Raja of Marwar (4th generation) who resisted Akbar all his life and never made any alliance with mughals like Maharana Pratap. (2/n)

Later in 1783, Maharaja of Jodhpur gave title of Raja to Bhinai family for their military service. Bhinai family and their direct descendant Raja Sh Mayuraj Singh still lives in Ajmer. Anyway coming to Udaybhan Rathore and story of Tanaji. (3/n)

Jai Singh's march on Shivaji and treaty of Purandar (1665) is a well known episode to repeat here. After getting the hill forts from Shivaji under the treaty, Jai Singh didn't have enough man-power to man every one of the small forts because of his next (4/n)

campaign against Bijapur. Jai Singh personally took over a couple of important forts like Kondhana (Sinhgarh), Purandar etc. Others were given to some mughals or their fortification walls destroyed. Jai Singh died in 1667 near Burhanpur while enroute to the north. (5/n)
