OK. I'm about to read the #1776Report. I'll see you in Hell.

When a student's essay starts with a word jumble that says absolutely nothing, I know I'm about to have a bad time.
Our purpose is to provide easily regurgitated propaganda that prevents any need for critical thinking.
Hit 'em right off the bat with the positivist bullshit! Any competent historian will smell it on the first page.
Just read the words! You don't need to know the context. In fact, we'd strongly prefer if you never placed any historical facts into context.
"These wrongs have always met resistance from the clear principles of the nation."

What?
In 1857, the Supreme Court ruled that Black people were not legally people, but OK.

All these idiots know is buzzwords.
"America is unique because it has a birthday"

My God, this is some low-grade idiocy.

I'm still on PAGE TWO.
"OK techically what we just said is blatantly false, but let me explain: America is special because literally nothing existed before white people got here. What? Native Americans? You're goddamn right I'm a native American! I was born in Alabama!"
I have a headache.
The guy who wrote the thing owned people, including his own children.
I'm OK. I'm fine. I have random nosebleeds all the time. No cause for alarm.
"We had to say this because our leader is a fucking idiot and we all know it."

The lack of self-awareness here is...
My left eye won't stop twitching.
"Our super special country is super special because it said all men are created equal. Slavery doesn't count because everybody did it."
Can I please stop?

This is what it says about American involvement in World War II. This is *all* it says.
@BadSocialisms
Any questioning of American exceptionalism is leftover communist propaganda.
I swear to God, if I ever meet anyone involved with creating this disgusting piece of shit garbage love letter to white supremacy
Reminder that they released this piece of shit on Martin Luther King Day.
Hey, at least we finally have a state-sponsored fascist manifesto that's already written in English.
Oh, trust me, we're going to use this piece of shit to teach our students the truth about America. I promise.
"Teaching anything other than rote memorization of nationalist propaganda..."

DISHONORS? These motherfuckers really said "dishonors the family" Are you fucking serious?
Fuck you, you goddamn braindead idiotic hypocrtical oblivious anti-intellectual shitbrained flag humpers.
Anybody who feels "pride and gratitude" at "an accurate history of our country" is a goddamn psychopath.
This is the only mention of indigenous people in this entire thing.
Remember, it's identity politics unless you're a white protestant nationalist!
Fuck. You.
"Critical thinking is indoctrination. Placing information in context is indoctrination. Actual indoctrination is education."
The only argument in this piece of shit is ThE fOuNdiNg PrInCiPLes

One of the authors of the Policy Exchange report on academic free speech thinks it is "ridiculous" to expect him to accurately portray an incident at Cardiff University in his study, both in the reporting and in a question put to a student sample.

Here is the incident Kaufmann incorporated into his study, as told by a Cardiff professor who was there. As you can see, the incident involved the university intervening to *uphold* free speech principles:

Here is the first mention of the Greer at Cardiff incident in Kaufmann's report. It refers to the "concrete case" of the "no-platforming of Germaine Greer". Any reasonable reader would assume that refers to an incident of no-platforming instead of its opposite.

Here is the next mention of Greer in the report. The text asks whether the University "should have overruled protestors" and "stepped in...and guaranteed Greer the right to speak". Again the strong implication is that this did not happen and Greer was "no platformed".

The authors could easily have added a footnote at this point explaining what actually happened in Cardiff. They did not.
