Sattainathar Temple is located in Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu. Temple is one among the Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalam. Paramashiva is worshipped as Thoniappar / Sattainathar and Parvathi Devi as Periyanayaki.

Paramshiva, is thus called Thoniappar.
This is the birth place of Thirugnanasambandar, who was fortunate to receive milk ( Gnanappal ). from Ambal, when he was a child. It is said that Brahma Deva have worshipped Paramashiva here.

Sattam in Tamil means Law, and Mahadeva is Sattainathar here which means, who is Supreme to Law. So people facing issues relating to Law / Court come here to win their cases.

भीमबेटका (भीमबैठका) भारत के मध्य प्रदेश प्रान्त के रायसेन जिले में स्थित एक पुरापाषाणिक आवासीय पुरास्थल है। यह आदि-मानव द्वारा बनाये गए शैलचित्रों और शैलाश्रयों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। इन चित्रों को पुरापाषाण काल से मध्यपाषाण काल के समय का माना जाता है।

ये चित्र भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप में मानव जीवन के प्राचीनतम चिह्न हैं। यह स्थल मध्य प्रदेश की राजधानी भोपाल से ४५ किमी दक्षिणपूर्व में स्थित है। इनकी खोज वर्ष १९५७-१९५८ में डॉक्टर विष्णु श्रीधर वाकणकर द्वारा की गई थी

युनेस्को विश्व धरोहर स्थल भीमबेटका शैलाश्र भीमबेटका क्षेत्र को भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण, भोपाल मंडल ने अगस्त १९९० में राष्ट्रीय महत्त्व का स्थल घोषित किया। इसके बाद जुलाई २००३ में यूनेस्को ने इसे विश्व धरोहर स्थल घोषित किया।

यहाँ पर अन्य पुरावशेष भी मिले हैं जिनमें प्राचीन किले की दीवार,लघुस्तूप, पाषाण निर्मित भवन,शुंग-गुप्त कालीन अभिलेख,शंख अभिलेख व परमार कालीन मंदिर के अवशेष सम्मिलित हैं।

ऐसा माना जाता है कि यह स्थान महाभारत के चरित्र भीम से संबन्धित है एवं इसी से इसका नाम भीमबैठका (भीमबेटका)पड़ा।

ये गुफाएँ मध्यभारत के पठार के दक्षिणी किनारे पर स्थित विन्ध्याचल की पहाड़ियों के नीचे हैं।इसके दक्षिण में सतपुड़ा की पहाड़ियाँ आरम्भ होतीहैं।यहाँ600शैलाश्रय हैं जिनमें275 शैलाश्रय चित्रों द्वारा सज्जित हैं।पूर्व पाषाणकाल से मध्य ऐतिहासिक काल तक यह स्थान मानव गतिविधि का केंद्र था।

Mahalakshmi is the Devi of Maharashtra.

The history of the Mandir goes back to the time when Maharshi Bhrigu paid a visit to Sri Vishnu who was resting on sheshnag.

To test Prabhu, Maharshi Bhrigu kicked him on his chest. Instead of getting angry, Sri Vishnu pressed Bhrigu’s foot and asked him whether he got hurt.

The place where she decided to live was this Kolhapur.
It is said that the region had a demon Kolhasur who used to suck all the water from the river. To end people’s misery, Devi Lakshmi killed him. His dying wish was that the place be known on his name, hence Kolhapur.

Both Sri Lakshmi and Sri Vishnu reside in this area eternally and shall not leave even at the time of Mahapralayakala(where the whole world is supposed to drown in water). This region is eternally blessed and is believed to be held by Ma in her right hand.

क्यूँ मनाया जाता है रक्षाबंधन का पर्व और क्या हैं इस पर्व से जुड़ी, माँ लक्ष्मी और राजा बलि की पौराणिक कथा

कथा भगवान विष्णु के वामन अवतार से जुड़ी है. भगवान विष्णु ने वामन अवतार लेकर असुरों के राजा बलि से तीन पग भूमि का दान माँगा, दानवीर बलि इसके लिए सहज राजी हो गये

वामन ने पहले ही पग में धरती नाप ली,तो राजा बलि समझ कि गये कि ये वामन कोई और नहीं बल्कि स्वयं भगवान विष्णु ही हैं. बलि ने विनय पूर्वक भगवान विष्णु को प्रणाम किया और अगला पग रखने के लिए अपने शीश को प्रस्तुत किया. विष्णु भगवान बलि पर प्रसन्न हुए और वरदान माँगने को कहा

तब असुर राज बलि ने वरदान में भगवान विष्णु से आग्रह किया कि वह उनके द्वारपाल बने । भगवान विष्णु ने राजा बलि के इस आग्रह को स्वीकार कर लिया और वह राजा बलि के साथ पाताल लोक चले गए। भगवान विष्णु के कई दिनों तक दर्शन न होने कारण माता लक्ष्मी परेशान हो गई और वह नारद मुनि के पास गई।

नारद मुनि के पास पहुंचकर उन्होंने उनसे पूछा के भगवान विष्णु कहाँ है। जिसके बाद नारद मुनि ने माता लक्ष्मी को बताया कि वह पाताल लोक में हैं और वरदान हेतु राजा बलि के द्वारपाल बने हुए हुए हैं।

तब माता लक्ष्मी के आग्रह पे नारद मुनि ने भगवान विष्णु को वापस लाने का उपाय बताया ।

उन्होंने कहा कि आप श्रावण मास की पूर्णिमा को पाताल लोक में जाएं और राजा बलि की कलाई पर रक्षासूत्र बाँध दें। रक्षासूत्र बाँधने के बाद राजा बलि से उपहार स्वरूप भगवान विष्णु को वापस माँग लें।

तब माता लक्ष्मी ने नारद मुनि की सलाह वैसा ही किया और असुर राज बलि को राखी बाँधी

and the Campbell Memorial Gold Medal from the Royal Asiatic Society, Mumbai Chapter, in 1921. Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV conferred on him the title “Arthashastra Visharada” in 1926 while the Viceroy and the Governor General of India conferred the title “Mahamahopadyaya” in 1930.

The word Purūsharthå is mentioned in Suryopanishad which is a minor Upanishad allied to the Atharva Veda.

Here Purush in Purūsharthå doesn't refers to a man, but to an individual soul in its purest aspect, that is similar for both men and women.

Dharma , Artha,Kama,Moksha known to be four goals of an individual's life and codified as Purūsharthå, It is also mentioned in the sacred book of Dharma called Dharmashashtra.

These are important concepts to know if we really want to understand Hinduism.

Dharma: Dharma is universal. It simply means religion of righteousness, wholesomeness,& truth. It is very difficult to grasp the exact meaning of dharma as acting vigorously doesn't mean precisely the same for everyone and also operates within concrete circumstance.

Anything which is acquired in the absence of Dharma will occur towards the misery. Each personhas their own Dharma called 'Sva-Dharma’, which is deeply illustrated in Bhagvad Geeta .

As per mānusmriti ...

धृतिः क्षमा दमोऽस्तेयं शौचमिन्द्रियनिग्रहः ।
धीर्विद्या सत्यमक्रोधो दशकं धर्मलक्षणम् ॥ ६\९२ ॥
