#Detroit, Woodward & E Vernor, 1905-2021. These views show St John's Episcopal Church, consecrated in 1861. The road to the left was originally High St, but changed to Vernor in the 1920's. Moved back 60' in 1936 for Woodward widening; the I-75 cut replaced Vernor in the '60's.

A tactic I don’t appreciate at all because of how unfairly it penalizes low-leverage, junior employees, and those loyal enough not to question it, but that’s negotiation for you after all. Weaponized information asymmetry.

I have seen this happen *extremely* rarely, mostly to women, and anyway is a giant red flag. It suggests you probably didn’t want to work there.
