So what led Krishna to steal parijatha tree👇
Narada Rishi once returning from Indralok collected few Parijatha flowers&reached Dwaraka. There he met Bhagwan Krishna&gave the heavenly flowers to him.Narada explained the greatness of Parijatha flowers & also said that these flowers must be given to the most loved ones.
Despite knowing Satyabhama’s anger,Krishna gave it to Rukmani Devi.Narada Rishi then went to palace of Satyabhama. He narrated whole incident that had happened.Satyabhama turned furious on hearing that Krishna gave Parijatha to Rukmini. Then Satyabhama shows her anger to Krishna.
To console Satyabhama,Krishna promises her that he will bring the Parijhata tree here. She was very happy &decided to accompany Krishna to Indraloka. They asked for the Parijata tree.Arrogant Indra refused to give https://t.co/lZLoxRrNht Krishna plucked a branch from Parijata tree.
Krishna & Satyabama got on Garuda’s back &started from there.Indra cursed that Parijata tree would never bear fruits,it will only bear flowers.Indra along with Sachi Devi chased Krishna & was ready to fight with him. They fought but Indra was defeated.Indra realised his mistake.
Krishna brought Parijatha branch &planted it in garden of Satyabhama as per her wishes.
Satyabhama went to Rukmini& boasted about Parijatha tree& how Krishna had fought with Indra.Tried to tell that Krishna loves her so dearly that he offered her Parijata tree rather itself.
Though Parijata tree was in Satyabhama’s garden,Krishna planted in such a way that it its flowers falls in Rukmini’s garden. This flower is so pure. This is the only flower even though gathered from the ground & can be offered to Bhagwan.
Two different trees are considered as Parijata -
one is Coral Jasmine (in tamil known as Pavala Malli) & another is Baobob Tree in Uttar Pradesh
