Aukot is incomplete with the mention of Punguza Mzigo Bill. It was his brainchild to change the constitution through a popular initiative. He managed to garner 1.2 million signatures. But we ridiculed him for overshadowing our tribal Kings. WAJINGA SISI
But look. Punguza Mzigo was the best-articulated bill. Much superior to BBI. It had identified all loopholes in the current constitution and proposed a solution for each. That is what philosophers do: ENVISION.
Aukot, as a true scholar, did not want to fool around to gain support. He even proposed unpopular solutions like reducing salaries and capping them by law. His motivation was national interest. Unlike BBI for which more taxpayers cash has to be used to bribe people to support it

I once attended a trade fair in Helsinki where Kituyi was the guest speaker. What a sharp mind. He understands Kenya’s economic and political dynamics like the back of his hand. He knows where to touch to lift us from the shame of poverty and low productivity.
And he is a philosopher too. Political Science and International Relations degree from Makerere. PhD in Social Anthropology and Master of Philosophy in Development Studies from Norway. He is a philosopher; he wants to be KING.

There is another Philosopher King in the name @makaumutua. He has hinted but not openly declared an interest. He is a superstar as they come. One hell of a brilliant Kenyan with a global mind. Why should we have such people then leave our destiny to hoodlums?

Kenyans are very thankless. We don’t honour heroes and those who sacrifice for the common good. That’s why charlatans, thieves, and murderers flourish in our politics. In this thread I focus on Kikuyu betrayal that has landed us into the current crisis

A Kikuyu succeeded Moi through a twist of fate, but their leaders were completely outwitted by Moi. It was very selfish to turn around and spread malicious hate against Raila once Kibaki became the President. Without Odinga family, Moi wouldn’t have gone anywhere.

Kikuyus profile of betrayal is painful. Having suffered so much humiliation and victimization under Moi they were all helpless. Moi had control of the police and judiciary and had given immunity to those who offended Kikuyus in any way, including killing them.

Kikuyu houses in Rift Valley would be burnt at will and no legal recourse. A close Moi aide in Maasai land, William OleNtimama openly threatened and insulted Kikuyu people even in Moi presence. “Lie low like an antelope” he would reprimand Kikuyus in Narok

Kibaki was a philosopher who became a King. He was not a PRIMARY POLITICIAN who won power. He was a scholar who became a politician, ascended through the ranks, and finally rose to be President. This is the course that should give us great leadership

Back to my question: Why wouldn’t @DavidNdii offer himself to be our President. Look at the many parallels he shares with Kibaki. They are both herdboys in their background. Peasant upbringing and local education in local schools from where they excelled.

They both studied or specialized in economics, Ndii in UON and Kibaki in Makerere. They both advanced in economics in prestigious UK universities; Kibaki in London School of Economic and Ndii in Cambridge (I guess)

They both came back to teach at universities, Kibaki in Makerere and Ndii at UON. They were both recruited to serve in government and develop national policies. Kibaki became the first CEO of Kanu and later key team in the sessional paper on African Socialism

As alluded to in a previous thread, Moi was very popular when he inherited the power from Jomo. He played an important historical role in dismantling Kikuyu hegemony that peaked at Kenyatta’s death. The whole nation supported him thinking it was all driven by national interest

Just that time he was very popular, he made a lot of decisions that laid the ground for his future dictatorship which he was cunningly planning for. Like civil servants’ union and university staff union were proscribed. This time, President's word was law and Moi took advantage

To compensate lack of charisma, Moi resorted to populist roadside decrees that would make people happy. In the process, he was making so many policy decisions at the spur of the moment. Some were so expensive to the country economically and politically

Among such decisions was to ban traditional liquor. The implications were enormous to this day – the gvt spends so much time and resources following up people and pouring liquors. It was a prime opportunity for gvt agencies to meddle in peoples social and economic lives

Having suffered so much under Moi who used state power to sabotage the whole economy and foster impunity, you would have expected the Kikuyu to all be on the frontline championing democracy and rule of law. So that nobody suffers again state victimization

In the last thread we have seen how Kikuyus ganged up against ICC to ensure Uhuru went scot-free – “Uhuru ni witu,” was the clarion call that we exported to The Hague

Just then Kikuyu now became the biggest enemy of democracy. Human rights activists filed a case in court to have Uhuru and Ruto barred from vying for public office as per chapter 6 of the new constitution. The Kikuyu were openly hostile to the court system. Ni matutigithie...

Having worked so hard to have a new constitution to ensure things that happened to the Kikuyu under Moi never happen again, Kikuyu became the biggest haters to the new constitution. That is was the first backward step for the country – courtesy of the Kikuyu

We change politics by making conditions of politics different, while also choosing PHILOSOPHER KINGS. Part 7

What we need to do it is revise the course. Allow philosophers to become kings. I am an ecologist. There is something I can call TERRITORIAL ADVANTAGE. I use a simple illustration

A crocodile cannot chase an impala on land. Impala has the territorial advantage; it will outrun the crocodile. On water, the crocodile has the territorial advantage; the impala cannot out-swim it. Hence, a crocodile’s first line of attack is always to pull the impala into water

When we killed politics of debate. We allowed insults and violence to flourish in our politics; we gave rascals the territorial advantage. They have thrived and dominated our politics and national life. They grab headlines and seat at the guest podiums in churches and funerals

To attract good leaders, we must tilt territorial advantage to the good leaders. So that our politics becomes more about competition for ideas and policies. We debate more and fight less. We invest more and steal less bcos we don’t need to buy supporters

Ahilyabai was Born on May 31,1725 in the village of Chondi,Jamkhed distt,Maharashtra to a man named Mankoji Shinde,who was the Patil(Chief) of a village and a member of proud Dhangar Community.


Despite the fact that girls' education was a farther dream in those days, Ahilyabai was homeschooled by her father.
Ahilya didn't belong to any royal family but in a twist of fate she is still remembered as one of the most revered Queen in the history.


While they were living their humdrum lives, one day Malhar Rao Holkar, commander of the Peshwa Bajirao & Lord of the Malwa stopped in Chondi on his way to Pune, where he couldn't help but notice a young 8yrs old Ahilyabai in the temple service feeding the poor & hungry.

He was so impressed by the sheer innocence&beauty with simplicity character of Ahilyabai dat he asked her hand in marriage for his son Khanderao Holkar.Just like that she got married to Khanderao in 1733 at a tender age of 8&became a bride of esteemed Maratha community of Holkars

But destiny had something else in store for her as her husband died in the Battle of Kumbher in 1754 leaving her widow at 29.Distressed Ahilyabai was to commit Sati when her father-in-law Malhar Rao refused to let it happen.

Some tweets on Adi Shankaracharya and in particular the Guru Parampara of @sringerimath. [I had done this series earlier 5 years ago on account of Shishya Sweekaram].


Adi Shankara established the Sringeri Peetham as the 1st of 4 amnaaya peetams.

The four being
1. Sarada Peetam at Sringeri.
2. Govardhana Peetam at Puri
3. Kalika at Dwaraka
4. Jyothir at Badarikashramam.

He installed his 4 most prominent shishyas as heads of the peetams.

Sureshwaracharya was assigned to Sringeri as its head.

Sringeri is a corruption of Rshyashrunga giri.

Rshyashrunga maharshi [and his father Sri Vibandhaka Maharshi] did their tapas at this place.

It is at Sringeri that Shankara spent 12 of His precious 32 years!!

That gives you and idea how much He loved this place.

Rshyashruga maharshi had a horn on his forehead, a result of being born to a deer. His mere presence was enough to shower rains!!

Rshyashrunga was one who led Putrakamesthi Yaagam of Dasaratha Maharaj and which resulted in Sri Rama's birth!!

Known as Dakshin Badri, Thiru Narayanapuram is one of the four famous Swayambu Kshetrams, the other three being Srirangam, Kanchipuram and Tirupati.
The presiding diety is Cheluva Narayana Swamy/ Selva Pillai/ Rama Priyan.


Once, Sri Rama gave his aradhana murthi of Sri Ranganatha, to Raja Vibhishana on his request. So he was left without a murthi for his daily pujas. Brahma is said to have provided the murti of Selva Pillai to Rama who later passed this on to his sons, Lava and Kusa.


When Kusa’s daughter married a Yadava prince, this murthi moved to the lunar dynasty from solar.

It is said that the utsav murthi got the name Selva Pillai due to Sri Ramanuja.
Once, a Sultan took away this murthi and Sri Ramanuja went in its search to the Sultan’s palace.

One fascist to watch in 2021 is Joseph Charles "Oakman" Golinske of SE MI. He's been a Proud Boy for a couple years, but took a break recently from the group and promotes himself through the "Oak Nation" channel on Telegram.


Most people may be familiar with him as the tall guy in the Proud Boys bridge shot, from their August 17, 2019 attack on Portland, which featured an American Guard bus trying (and failing) to bludgeon antifascists with hammers.


He was also with his g/f at the time (Dominique Tota, left of Tarrio), and that's definitely a twitter account folks will want to block/report because he posts on it.


He's been plenty active at the pro-Covid/anti-mask/ReOpen protests in Lansing MI, seen here with Jerry Wayne and an effigy of Gretchen Whitmer, who his militia friends tried to kidnap and publicly execute.


Outside of the Proud Boys, his solo "career" with Oak Nation features the same misogyny, classism and gateway to far-right domestic terrorism the Proud Boys themselves feature. Here's him peddling oxychlorinque and bragging about harassing service workers.

⚽️Hobbie Renaissance: Remote working will lead to a rise in people participating in hobbies and activities which link them to people in their local community

This will lead to deeper, more meaningful relationships which overcome societal issues of loneliness and issolation

🌍Diversity & Inclusion: The most diverse and inclusive teams in history will emerge rapidly
