1/ Learn Price Action

First of all, you need to focus on learning about price action.

If you do so, you'll be able to understand the big player's footprints better which is critical to know as we can side with them to make profit.

Better to be with them than against them.

2/ Journal your trades

Journaling will change your trading forever.

Why? Because you will precisely know where you are going wrong and whether you keep repeating the same mistakes.

You'll also know in which market you perform the best and in which type of markets you don't.

3/ Avoid losing more than 2% on a trade

I have seen many traders including the really good ones as well, where one big loss will spoil a month or two of their trading year.

The loss becomes so big to overcome that more mistakes are made.

So don't go in a big loss itself.

4/ Think only from a buyer vs seller point of view

You should know who is in control, a buyer or a seller not in options but in futures.

Also understand, at which points do these traders usually tend to give up.

Can take trades confidently and aggressively then.

1) it eliminates irrelevant tweets and

I have a list of "Regular Trade Updates," for instance.

In order for me to study them later, this concentrates on handles that share trades.

• Completely pointless in terms of improving you.

Selling OTM CE & OTM PE of the same instrument you are trading.

Look at the picture below for an example of a short strangle in current weekly options.

2/ Why do traders like short strangles?

The highest probability of profit is there in a strangle.

By mastering this technique you can earn a consistent weekly income.

Most of the times we can predict the weekly range.

So sell options outside this range to profit consistently.

3/ Benefits of Short Strangles

Higher probability - More than 80% winning chance

Can turn directional too - If your SL hits on one side can sell on the opposite side and make it directional.

The biggest range of profit you'll get in options of any expiry.

1. Technicals

Let's start with the technicals. We'll look at:

• Weekly charts
• Daily charts
• Hourly/60 min charts
• 15 min charts

1. Weekly-

• The past 2 weeks indicate buyers have entered and are trying to lift the market up.

• These buyers would be under stress if the last week's low of 33080 breaks on the downside.

• Till that low doesn't break, those buyers are going to be in control.

2. Daily:

• If we get a daily close above the 34150 level, a higher high (HH) will be formed, and I would be very bullish on the markets.

• Friday's candle is a big green candle, and if it's low breaks then I would be bearish.

• There is no clear and obvious pattern yet.

Nikita is a hardcore directional player. Whenever there is a trend, she hardly ever misses it.

It is totally possible to trade in the weekly expiry based on only support and resistance.

Because you understand whether the buyer has the upper hand or the seller. Can just accompany them & make money.

3) Execution power on ideas discussed:

Once the Support &Resistance zones are identified, we know where the smart money is likely to make its plays, then it is important to execute on your ideas.

Simply knowing how something works does not put money into your pocket.

You must have the guts to punch the trades in large quantities.

Even this became much easier for me because I learned from her risk-taking. She is a relatively higher risk taker than me. I am a very cautious and risk-first-approach kind of trader.

Selling ATM CE & PE of the same strike price (usually ATM options) is called a short straddle.

Look at the picture below for an example of a short straddle in current weekly options.

2/ Why do traders like short straddles?

The highest theta or highest premium is collected in a straddle.

If the view is right, it can turn into a jackpot trade.

Sometimes the view is neither bullish nor bearish just sideways.

In this scenario, the straddle will work best.

The best traders are all directional traders.

We should be investing our time into learning what the best traders are doing.

I have traded with @niki_poojary for the past year, who is an aggressive directional trader.

Here are my 10 learnings trading with her: 🧵

1. Learn directional trading

If you want to be the best, you have to be very good at gauging the direction of the market and then betting aggressively.

Practicing this style over a lot of years will give you an edge which will help you compound your account quicker.

2. Levels based trading

Premium-based sellers put an SL of double or triple in the system which has a very high probability of taking your SL.

Irrespective of premium price, just stick to the charts.

A simple understanding of S&R enables you to take trades on levels.

3. Patterns

Chart patterns are necessary to understand market trends and to predict further movements, which helps us in deploying our trades accordingly.

Eg: A symmetrical pattern means prices have squeezed a lot and an expansion is soon on the cards.

Likewise, after a strong momentum, some consolidation can be expected.

Entry/Exit triggers can also be determined on the basis few patterns.
