The Gandaberunda or Berunda is a two-headed bird in Hindu Sanskriti, believed to possess immense magical strength.

It is an avatar of Lord Vishnu to fight Lord Sharabha, who in-turn was an avatar of Lord Shiva and had the mission of stopping Narasimha, Vishnu’s lion avatar. It was the emblem of the erstwhile Kingdom of Mysore under the Wodeyar kings.

It is used as the official emblem of the Karnataka state government because it is a symbol of strength.

The bird is generally depicted as clutching elephants in its talons and beaks, demonstrating its immense strength. In a coin [Kasu] found in Madurai, it is shown holding a snake in its beak.

All 2-dimensional depictions show a symmetrical image similar to the double-headed eagle while other images show the long tail feathers resembling a peacock.

आपने बचपन से सुना होगा, कि जब भी किसी समस्या के कारण मन शांति खोने लगे तो ‘गायत्री मंत्र’ का जप करने से मन को शांति मिलती है. बल्कि अधिकतर प्रार्थनाओं में भी गायत्री मंत्र का उच्चारण किया जाता है.

बड़े-बुर्जुगों द्वारा कहा जाता है कि इस मंत्र के रोजाना उच्चारण करने मात्र से ही, कई समस्याओं और विपदाओं का नाश होता है. आपने भी ध्यान दिया होगा कि वेदों और पुराण में कई मंत्र ऐसे हैं जिनके बारे में कोई शायद ही जानता हो या फिर किसी को याद हो.

लेकिन ‘गायत्री मंत्र’ के बारे में अधिकतर लोग जानते हैं. शास्त्रों के अनुसार ‘गायत्री मंत्र’ की उत्पत्ति ऋषि विश्वामित्र ने अपने कठोर तप से की थी. ऋगवेद में यह मंत्र संस्कृत में लिखा गया था.

इसलिए गायत्री मंत्र का उच्चारण बहुत आवश्यक माना जाता है. गायत्री मंत्र से जुड़ी सबसे खास बात ये है कि इस मंत्र के उच्चारण से, होने वाले स्वास्थ्य लाभ के बारे में न केवल भारत में कई धारणाएं हैं

#प्राचीनहनुमानमंदिर
प्राचीन हनुमान मंदिर, महाभारत काल से बाल हनुमान को समर्पित एक प्राचीन मंदिर है। यह दिल्ली में पांडवों द्वारा स्थापित पांच मंदिरों में से एक माना जाता है।
दिल्ली का ऐतिहासिक नाम इंद्रप्रस्थ शहर है,

जो यमुना नदी के तट पर पांडवों द्वारा महाभारतकाल में बसाया गया था तथा तब पांडव इंद्रप्रस्थ और कौरव हस्तिनापुर पर राज्य करते थे।हिन्दू मान्यता के अनुसार पांडवों में भीम को हनुमानजी का भाई माना जाता है।दोनों ही वायुपुत्र कहे जाते हैं और उनकी हनुमान जी पर असीम आस्था थी।

वर्तमान हनुमान मंदिर का स्वरूप सन 1724 में श्रद्धालुओं के सम्मुख आया जब जयपुर रियासत के महाराज जयसिंह ने इसका फिर से जीर्णोद्धार करवाया था।

इस मंदिर के इतिहास के संबंध में कहते है कि राजा जयसिंह मौजूदा हनुमान मंदिर परिसर में अपने किसी भवन का निर्माण करवा रहे थे। उस दौरान यहां पर स्वयंभू हनुमान की मूर्ति प्रकट हुई थी। इसमें हनुमानजी दक्षिण दिशा की ओर देख रहे हैं। इसमें उनकी सिर्फ एक ही आंख दिखाई दे रही है।

अतः ये दक्षिणामुखी हनुमान जी भी कहलाते है।
यहाँ के महंत मंदिर की पिछली 33 पीढ़ियां से सेवा करते आ रहे हैं और इनका परिवार आमेर के राजा जयसिंह के आमंत्रण पर सन् 1724 में यहां आया था।

🌺एक संक्षिप्त,सुन्दर एवं सार्थक कथा🌺

बहुत पुरानी बात है,किसी कल्प में पृथ्वी के एक नगर में एक जुआरी रहता था।वो स्वभाव से ही नास्तिक था तथा वेदों व शास्त्रों की निंदा करता था।एक दिन उसने जुए में बहुत सारा धन जीत लिया था।

धन के मद में चूर वो उस रात पान, फूल,सुगंध लेकर नगर की सबसे महंगी और खूबसूरत वैश्या के पास जा रहा था। एक उजाड़ मार्ग पे उसे ठोकर लगी, उसका सिर एक पत्थर से टकरा गया और वो मूर्च्छित हो गया।

उस स्थान पर शिवलिंग था। मूर्छित होने पर उसके हाथ के फूल,सुगंध शिवलिंग पर अनजाने तरीके से अर्पित हो गए।वहीं पर उस जुआरी की मौत हो गई। मौत के बाद यमराज के दूत आये और उसे पाश में जकड़ कर यमपुर ले गए।

वहां चित्रगुप्त ने उसके कर्मों का लेखा-जोखा देखकर कहा कि इसने तो पाप ही पाप किए हैं,लेकिन मरते समय इसने जुए के पैसे से वेश्या के लिए खरीदे पुष्प,गंध अनजाने रूप से ‘शिवार्पण’ कर दिए।ये ही एकमात्र इसका पुण्य है। चित्रगुप्त की बात सुनकर यमराज ने उससे पूछा कि हे पापी,तू ही बता कि...

...पहले पाप का फल भोगेगा या पुण्य का।
जुआरी बोला की पाप के तो बहुत फल भोगने पड़ेंगे, पहले पुण्य का ही फल भोग लूं। तो उस एक पुण्य के बदले उसे दो घड़ी के लिए इन्द्र बनाया गया।
यमराज स्वर्ग पहुंचे और उन्होने दो घड़ी के लिए अपने पद से इन्द्र को त्यागपत्र देने को कहा।

श्री राम की माता कौशल्या का इकलौता मंदिर

रायपुर से तकरीबन 25 किलोमीटर दूर चंदखुरी गांव है। 126 तालाब वाले इस गांव में सात तालाबों से घिरे जलसेन तालाब के बीच प्राचीन द्वीप पर भगवान श्रीराम की माता कौशल्या की प्रतिमा स्थापित है और रामलला उनकी गोद में विराजमान हैं।

यहीं की थीं माता कौशल्या
स्थानीय लोगों की आस्था है कि चंदखुरी ही माता कौशल्या की जन्मस्थली है। मंदिर के पुजारी बताते हैं कि एक ही पत्थर में उभरी माता कौशल्या व भगवान श्रीराम की प्रतिमा गांव के जलसेन तालाब से ही प्राप्त हुई थी, जो आठवीं शताब्दी की है।

द्वीप पर स्थित कौशल्या माता का मंदिर हरियाली और मंदिरों से घिरा हुआ है। भगवान शिव और नंदी की विशाला प्रतिमा यहां स्थित है। द्वीप के द्वार पर हनुमान जी विराजमान हैं। दशरथ जी का दरबार यहां लगा है। मन्नत का एक पेड़ भी यहां स्थित है। सुषेण वैद्य की समाधी है।

माता कौशल्या के पिता सुकौशल थे, जिन्हें स्थानीय निवासी भानुमंत राजा के नाम से जानते हैं। छत्तीसगढ़ को पहले कौशल प्रदेश के नाम से जाना जाता था। वहीं माता सुबाला/अमृतप्रभा थीं। रामचरित मानस व वाल्मिकी रामायण में भी कौशल प्रदेश का उल्लेख मिलता है।

मंदिर परिसर में ही सीताफल का एक पेड़ है, जहां पर्ची में नाम लिखकर उसे श्रीफल के संग बांधा जाता है। कहा जाता है कि ऐसा कर मांगी गई मन्नत पूरी होती है। असल में जहां पेड़ है, उस स्थान पर पहले नागराज की बड़ी बाम्बी हुआ करती थी और मान्यता है कि मन्नत नागराज ही पूरी करते हैं।

One such Rishika was Gargi Vachaknavi who is probably the World's Oldest Icon of Feminism found in the Ancient Hinduism.

Born around 700BCE Gargi Vachaknavi was named after her father Sage Vachaknu and was a renowned Philosopher of ancient India.She is even honoured in Vedic literature as not only an active supporter of the Vedas but someone who is a great philosopher...

...and was even granted the title of 'Brahmavadini' which means someone with the knowledge of 'Brahma Vidya'. Rishika Gargi was even believed to have managed to do the impossible and awaken her 'Kundalini' ie Inner spiritual energy and realised the existence of soul or Atma.

She was inclined towards the knowledge of Vedic Scriptures from a very young age and showed deep interest in Vedas. Soon enough she became an expert in fields of philosophy. Her knowledge of the Vedas and Upanishads was rivaled by a few at the time.

Once the King Janaka of Videha kingdom held a Rajasuya Yagna where he invited all learned scholars of his time. Janaka was a learned King himself and he assembled a group of elite scholars who had the most in-depth knowledge about 'Brahman' and were the most accomplished people.

Hatya Mata Mandir, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh...

Mahamaya Devi Kot Mandir is located in Pangna village in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. In the Premises of the Mahamaya Devi Kot Mandir, there is a small Mandir of Hatya Mata which opens only once a year.

Suket State was one of the Princely states of Bharat during the period of the British Raj. Suket was later declared as Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. At that time, Maharaja Ramsen was the king of Suket.

The king had a daughter, Rajkumari Chandravati who was a biggest devotee of Mahadev and Maa Parvati. Once Rajkumari Chandravati was playing with her friends, While playing, a friend of Chandravati was guise as a male.

The Raj Purohit passed from that place. He felt that Rajkumari Chandravati was playing with an unknown Boy. Raj Purohit immediately went to the Maharaj and told the whole thing which made the Maharaj Ramsen angry.

Maharaj Ramsen immediately sent Chandravati to the winter capital, Pangna. Chandravati considered her insult and took a shocking step to prove herself Pavitra. Chandravati grinded the pois0nous seed named Rati on a rock and ate it.

Once upon a time there was a Bengali Sadhu named Durbananda Brahmachari. He was a biiiig devottee of Prabhu Jagannath. So one day he decided to go to Puri for pilgrimage & offer Bhog to Prabhu with his own hand.

All his desires were crushed when the Temple authority denied him the privilege. Broken-hearted, the sage decided to fast until dεαth.

But dont we know Prabhu loves us so much that he can never deny his Bhaktas. One the 3rd day of his fast, Prabhu swayam came to speak to him in his dreams. Jagannath then told to the sage, "Hey Bhakta, i am moved by your devotion- i myself desire to have Bhog from your hand".

Saying this Prabhu asked the sage to return back to Bengal . In the banks of Bhagirathi, there's a place called Mahesh where He will send the sage a huge Daru Brahma (trunk of neem tree). Prabhu then instructed Sadhu baba to make idols of Jagannath, Balaram & Subhadra with it.

राजधानी दिल्ली के मध्य में स्थित झंडेवालान एक सिद्धपीठ है।

मंदिर के इतिहास की बात करें तो 100 साल से भी पहले दिल्ली के एक व्यापारी श्री बद्री भगत थे,जो धार्मिकवृत्ति के तथा वैष्णों माता के परम भक्त थे।
बद्री दास जी इस जगह नियमित रूप से सैर करने आते थे तथा यही पर ध्यान में लीन हुआ करते थे।

एक दिन जब बद्री दास मां भगवती की साधना में लीन थे तो उन्हें अनुभूति हुई कि यहां पर एक प्राचीन मंदिर है जो कि जमीन में धंसा हुआ है।
कुछ समय बाद उन्हें फिर सपने में वह मंदिर दिखाई दिया।
बद्री दास जी ने वहां जमीन खरीद कर, खुदाई आरम्भ करवाई।
थोड़ी ही खुदाई के पश्चात्‌ मंदिर के..

अवशेष मिलने प्रारम्भ हो गए। इसके पश्चात्‌ खुदाई का कार्य तेज करवा दिया गया। खुदाई करवाते समय उन्हें मंदिर के शिखर पर झंडा दिखा, और उसके बाद खुदाई में माँ की मूर्ति प्राप्त हुई। मगर खुदाई में माँ के हाथ खंडित हो गए।
मूल मूर्ति के ऐतिहासिक महत्व को ध्यान

ध्यान में रखते हुए उसी स्थान पर रहने दिया गया और खंडित हाथो को चांदी के हाथ पिरोह दिए गए।
दूसरी चट्टान की खुदाई में शिवलिंग दिखाई पड़ा, मगर खंडित ना हो इस भय से उसे वही रहने दिया गया, आज भी वह शिवलिंग मंदिर की गुफा में स्थित है।
जिस स्थान पर माता की मूर्ति मिली थी उसी के ठीक...

द्वापर युग से जुड़ी हुई यह अष्टभुजा मां भगवान कृष्ण की बहन है। श्रीमद्भागवत पुराण की कथा अनुसार पापी कंस ने अपनी मृत्यु के डर से अपनी बहन देवकी को पति सहित कारागार में कैद कर लिया था.

अपने विनाश के भय से वह देवकी की कोख से जन्म लेने वाले हर बच्चे को वध करता गया। देवकी के आठवें गर्भ से जन्में श्रीकृष्ण को वसुदेवजी ने कंस से बचाने के लिए रातोंरात यमुना नदी को पार गोकुल में नन्दजी के घर पहुंचा दिया था

तथा वहां यशोदा के गर्भ से पुत्री के रूप में जन्मीं भगवान की शक्ति योगमाया को चुपचाप वे मथुरा के जेल में ले आए थे। बाद में जब कंस को देवकी की आठवीं संतान के जन्म का समाचार मिला तो वह कारागार में पहुंचा।

उसने उस नवजात कन्या को पत्थर पर पटककर जैसे ही मारना चाहा, वह कन्या अचानक कंस के हाथों से छूटकर आकाश में पहुंच गई और उसने अपना दिव्य स्वरूप प्रदर्शित कर कंस के वध की भविष्यवाणी की और अंत में वह भगवती विन्ध्याचल वापस लौट गई और अष्टभुजी देवी के रूप मे स्थापित हुई।

यह विन्ध्यवासिनी देवी को समर्पित मन्दिर से तीन किमी की दूरी पर स्थित है। मन्दिर चमत्कारिक पहाड़ियों की पृष्ठभूमि में स्थित है और अपने शांत और सुन्दर दृश्यों के कारण भक्तों के साथ-साथ पर्यटकों के बीच भी लोकप्रिय है।

आदि गुरु शंकराचार्य का जन्म 508BCE में केरल के कालड़ी गांव में हुआ था।उनके माता आर्याम्बा और पिता शिव गुरु उनको शंकर नाम से पुकारते थे। शंकर अपने माता पिता के एकलौते संतान थे। उनके पिताजी की मृत्यु बचपन में ही हो गई थी।

बचपन से ही विलक्षण प्रतिभा के धनि शंकर के अंदर अद्भुत तर्क शक्ति तथा स्मरण शक्ति भी। मात्र आठ साल की उम्र में शंकर ने चारो वेदो को कंठस्थ कर लिया था। 12 वर्ष की उम्र में सभी उपनिषद दर्शन में महारथ हासिल कर लिए थे और 16 वर्ष की उम्र में ब्रह्मसूत्र भाष्य की रचना की थी।

आदि गुरु शंकराचार्य ने पुरे भारत की यात्रा की तथा सनातन धर्म को एक सूत्र में पिरोने के लिए चार दिशा में चार मठों की स्थापना की। पश्चिम दिशा के द्वारका में शारदामठ की स्थापना की। उत्तर दिशा में आदि गुरु शंकराचार्य ने बद्रिकाश्रम में ज्योतिर्मठ की स्थापना की।

पूर्व दिशा में उन्होंने जगन्नाथपुरी में गोवर्धन मठ की स्थापना की।उन्होंने दक्षिण दिशा में श्रृंगेरी मठ की स्थापना की।इन सभी मठो में आज भी शंकराचार्य के पद पर सुपात्र को बैठाया जाता है लेकिन जो विलक्षण ज्ञान आदि शंकराचार्य का था आज तक किसी भी मठ के किसी शंकराचार्य का नहीं हुआ हैं।

मठों में आदि गुरु शंकराचार्य से लेकर अभी तक जितने भी गुरु शिष्य हुए, उनका इतिहास सुरक्षित है।

Everyone knows about USA’s Grand Canyon, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. But did you know that there’s a hidden Grand Canyon in India as well?
The forgotten Gorge of Gandikota is situated on the Pennar River in Andhra Pradesh

and is known as the Grand Canyon of India.
 
Gandikota was identified as strategic area and a mud Fort was constructed by Kakatiya Raja in 12th Century, Further developed by Kumara Thimma Naidu of Vijayanagar Empire and made Gandikota his capital.

He developed Gandikota as an impregnable fortress building huge boundary walls and watch towers on three sides with the Pennar river gorge forming the natural boundary wall on the fourth side.
During his reign he constructed a large temple probably Veerabhadra temple,

along with a tank which was fed by spring water which is known as Koleru. The same temple complex has been perhaps demolished to raise a Masjid and a granary has been constructed by Mir Jumla after capturing Gandikota in 1594.
 
The magnificent Gandikota fort,

is built in such a way that the Gorge provides a natural defence on its west and north sides. The Fort got the name from a big gorge formed by the Penna river (through erosional process) between the Erramala range of hills, called Gandikota hills.

भगवान अपने भक्तों की यश वृद्धि करने के लिए अनेक प्रकार की लीलाएं करते हैं।इस तरह के अनेकों उदाहरण आपको हमारे पुराणों में मिल जाएंगे।ऐसी ही एक भक्त थी सती अनुसुइया जिसकी कथा हम आज सुनेंगे।
त्रिदेवियां माताएं लक्ष्मी,पार्वती और सरस्वती सोचती थीं कि उनसे बड़ी पतिव्रताएं कोई नहीं ।

एक बार त्रिदेवों ने त्रिदेवियों का ये भ्रम तोड़ने का और साथ ही अपनी परम भक्त अनुसुइया का मान बढ़ाने का सोचा।
इसी कार्य को संपन्न करने के लिए भगवान नारायण ने देवर्षि नारद के मन में जिज्ञासा उत्पन्न की। इसके फलस्वरूप वे लक्ष्मी जी के पास पहुंचे। लक्ष्मी माता देवर्षि को देख...

...बड़ी प्रसन्न हुईं और उनसे कहा,"देवर्षि! आप बड़े दिनो के बाद आए हैं।कहिए कैसे हैं?" नारद जी बोले,"माता! क्या बताऊँ? कुछ बताते नहीं बन रहा।अब की बार मैं घूमता हुआ चित्रकूट की ओर चला गया था।वहां महर्षि अत्रि के आश्रम जाने का सौभाग्य मुझे प्राप्त हुआ। माता! मैं तो महर्षि अत्रि ...

..जी की पत्नी माता अनुसुइया के दर्शन करके कृतार्थ हो गया।तीनों लोकों में उनके समान पवित्र व पतिव्रता स्त्री कोई नहीं है।"
माता अनुसुइया का यही गुणगान देवर्षि नारद ने जाकर माता पार्वती और माता सरस्वती से भी किया।ये सुनकर त्रिदेवियों ने जिज्ञासावश अनुसुइया की परीक्षा लेने की सोची।

तब त्रिदेवियों ने अपने पतियों-ब्रह्मा,विष्णु और महेश से अनुसुइया के सतीत्व की परीक्षा लेने का हठ किया।त्रिदेवों ने बहुत समझाने की कोशिश की परंतु अपनी पत्नियों के हठ के कारण अन्ततः वे अनुसुइया की परीक्षा लेने को तैयार हो गए।

तीनों देव साधुवेष धारण कर महर्षि अत्रि के आश्रम पहुंचे।

Zika Virus.
Zika Virus spread to people through mosquito bite It is an Arbovirus, arbovirus is the group of virus which are transmitted by the bite of infected insects such as Mosquitoes,
It was first identified in the Zika forest near Kampala, Uganda in rhesus monkey in 1947.

Later it was found in human in 1952 in Uganda.
Zika virus infection during pregnancy also increases the risk of serious birth defects in infants, including a potentially fatal brain condition called microcephaly.

💠Symptoms of this disease.
70 to 80% people infected with this virus have no major symptoms.
Symptoms starts to show up 2 week after the person is bitten by a infected mosquito.
🔸️It also shows some symptoms like.
•Mild Fever
•Skin Rash
•Muscle Pain
•Red eye
•muscle pain

🔸️Their are two Aedes species mosquito which Carry the virus.
When a normal and healthy mosquito bites a person who is infected with the zika virus then the virus infects the mosquito, and when that mosquito bites another person, the virus enters his/her body.

🔸️It can also transmit through sexual activity.
It can transmit from body of a person to their partner by Anal, Viginal or even Oral sex.
This virus has been detected and can transmit through semen, breastmilk, saliva, urine, Vaginal fluids.
