Investors need to refer to #SEBI Rule 14.5 which governs Distribution of Proceeds realized by MF from investments which are illiquid at time of winding up

If amounts are realized from illiquid investment after 2 years of winding up it has to be transferred to Investor Education Fund

Hence the mutual fund is required to sell all bonds within 2 years of winding up i.e. 23rd April 2020. So investors will get back entire amount by 22nd April 2022.

So Winding Up Process cannot continue indefinitely as is being misunderstood by most of investors Experts & even MF

I've been thinking: What if the Texas case was a test for SCOTUS to see how deeply it had been corrupted? As Thomas noted with Alito's concurrence, SCOTUS is the court of original jurisdiction for disputes between States.

re: How the early church responded to a plague.

A few days ago I started reading *The Patient Ferment of the Early Church* by Alan Kreider. It's an interesting read for many reasons.

One of the reasons he wrote the book was to answer the question, "Why did the early church spread in the first three centuries?"

In answering that question he looks at how the church in Carthage in the 250s responded to a plague. This plague is known as "the Cyprian Plague."

Pontius was the biographer of Cyprian, who was the leading bishop in North Africa and it is because of him we know what Cyprian taught the people about how to live during the plague.

Keep in mind that these people had just lived through an empire-wide persecution under the reign of Decius. The Christians themselves would have been blamed for the plague because they did not offer sacrifices to the gods.

I just re-read Bernoulli’s 1738 paper “Exposition of a New Theory on the Measurement of Risk” which is the foundational paper of Expected Utility Theory.

The paper isn't about utility. It’s about expected value.

Bernoulli used the utility concept to get the reader to abandon the traditional view of expected value(arithmetic average), and then used it to derive the equation for valuing risk.

The final equation doesn’t use utility

He starts out the paper identifying that tradition evaluation of risk come from expected values, which are calculated with the arithmetic average.

Notice the rule here in italics is about expected values.

Then points out that this average ignores anything about the specific financial circumstances of the participant. It’s not a risk aversion point, but that a poor person values money differently than a rich person.

Therefore the rule for determining expected values must not be correct. An item is valued by its usefulness (utility) therefore the expected value must also reflect the usefulness it yields.

This was originally Latin, so not sure of the translation, but I love the word yields.
